ANITA E. NEAL

Ms. Neal received a B.A. in English/secondary education in 1981 from the University of Arizona and taught English and journalism at a rural Arizona high school for three years before deciding to attend law school. She received a J.D. from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 1986. After moving to the Seattle area in 1987, Ms. Neal became a licensed member of the Washington State Bar Association. She currently lives in Olympia, Washington and manages a full-time legal practice. In addition to maintaining her legal practice, Ms. Neal is also proud to have served tribal communities as a tribal court judge for the past seventeen years. She currently serves as Chief Judge of the Nisqually Tribal Court, the Quileute Tribal Court, and the Shoalwater Bay Tribal Court. She is also an Associate Judge for the Port Gamble S'Klallam Community Court and Family Court Judge for the Squaxin Island Tribal Court. She has received extensive judicial training from the National Tribal Judicial College and other training centers.
