PATERSON TASK FORCE

Founded in 1964 as a private non-profit agency, Paterson Task Force is the officially designated community action agency for the City of Paterson. Our purpose is to provide compassionate quality services to assist vulnerable individuals and families to improve their quality of life and to become self sufficient by addressing the impacts of poverty. Paterson Task Force is closely tied to the community it serves through its staff members and board of directors who assist the general population. Funded through federal, state, county and local grants, the agency has implemented numerous programs that have enabled those in need to alleviate or eliminate their problems. Since its inception, Paterson Task Force has grown to be an effective respected force against poverty within the community... Our purpose is to help the poor improve their quality of life and to become self-sufficient by addressing the causes as well as the effects of poverty.
