Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Paul began playing trombone at age 10 for his school's beginning band program. Later going on to be a two-time All-State Illinois musician, Paul enjoyed practicing in his free time and listening to Classical music. He frequently attended Concerts by the Chicago Symphony, Civic Orchestra, and Chicago Symphony Brass... In 2018, Paul began attending Boston University's School of Music to continue his education in music performance. in the same year, Paul declared his minor as Arts Leadership where he hoped to translate his passion for music into other opportunities off stage while continuing his work on trombone. During Paul's time at Boston University, he has taken a rigorous interdisciplinary course load which has included classes in biology, writing, history, and politics.
