Dr. LU Chun received his BA in mechanics from Peking University in 1984, MA from the Beijing Institute of Technology in 1987 and PhD from the National University of Singapore in 1991. He worked as a Senior/Principal Engineer in the Chartered Industry Singapore from 1994 to 1997, and then joined the Institute of High Performance Computing in 1997, where he worked as a Senior Research Scientist and Program Director of the Division of Large-scale Complex Systems. Dr. LU was adjunct professor at the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. He joined King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in 2008, as Director of East Asia Strategic Initiatives, and later Director of International Programs. Since 2015, Dr. LU serves as the member of the University's Administrative Meeting, Chief Operating Officer, and the Chair Professor at Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering Department of SUSTech. Since April 2018 he has served as the Vice President of SUSTech.

Ye Qin, Han Chinese, was born in Suzhou city, Jiangsu province in July 1963. Starting his career as a postgraduate in July 1986, he gained a vice-senior professional title in 1997. In September 1997, he became a member of China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA), then a member of Guangdong Provincial Committee of CNDCA and a member of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Committee of CNDCA.

ZHANG Jiping

Educational background: B.S., Department of Mathematics, Shandong University, 1981; M.S., Peking University, 1984; Ph.D., Peking University, 1987. He has served as the Director of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center. His remarkable achievements in the representation theory of finite groups, especially his solution to two major open problems of Brauer, the founder of modular representation theory, have become an important basis for the automorphic lifting theory of high-dimensional Galois representations. He has been selected as a Distinguished Professor of the Yangtze River Scholar Program sponsored by the Ministry of Education, National Exemplary Worker, National Outstanding Sci-Tech Worker, and awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, National May Day Labour Medal, Third Prize of the National Natural Science Award, First Prize of the Sci-Tech Progress Award of the Ministry of Education, and Shiing-Shen CHERN Mathematics Award. ZHANG is now an associate chief-editor of Asia-European J. Math and Acta Mathematica Sinica and a member of the editorial boards of five international journals and series. He served as editor-in-chief of Algebra Colloq, vice president of the Chinese Mathematical Society, member of the Development and Communication Committee of the International Mathematical Union, executive director of the Department of Mathematics and Physics of the Science and Technology Commission of Ministry of Education, and vice president of the Chinese Association of Young Scientists and Technologists. Since February of 2020, he has been the Chair Professor of SUSTech and the Executive Director of SUSTech International Center for Mathematics. Since March of 2022, he has served as member of the Presidential Executive Council of SUSTech.

Zhang Ling is the Vice Chairperson of the University Council and Director of Communications and Public Relations Office at Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen, China. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Education from Peking University (PKU). He received his Master's Degree in Arts from Central South University (CSU). From 2011 to 2014, he worked as the Deputy Director of the Dean's Office at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School (PKU Shenzhen). In May 2014, he took up a new role at PKU Shenzhen as the Director of the Dean's Office. In 2017, Dr. Zhang participated in a study class at the Guangdong Provincial Party School. He also served as a team leader in the COVID-19 Prevention and Service Control Group arranged by the Municipal Party Committee at Matian Street, Guangming District, Shenzhen, from February to May 2020.
