A vigorous trend towards data localisation, with laws and infrastructure in tandem, suggests the outlook for cloud computing in Africa is very bright indeed... With over a billion people having access to internet, cybersecurity across industries has now come to the forefront of all business planning activities. Organizations understand that the cloud is a hosted platform, but protecting their data remains their responsibility. There needs to be security measures in place to restrict and control access. Where data resides and how it is protected with backup and recovery is the holistic approach that needs to be attained.
