From the first rough cuts, to the detailed wings, I use several different chainsaws, dremels, and sculpting tools to achieve my vision. I typically create dimension and color by burning areas of sculpture with a hand torch, and then bathe it in a semi-gloss finish... I bought my sawmill in 2016 after a big storm knocked several trees down in my backyard. I have wood logs of all different species dropped off at my home, and I mill them to different lengths and thickness depending on my need... I've spent the last several years beautifying our yard with a wood barn, chainsaw art, and water fixtures.
