Alan's role as the Non-Executive Director of the Technology business is to support Gordon and Chris in both the development and growth of Nine Twenty, together with their own development as business leaders.
The relationship with Nine Twenty started in 2014, following the management buyout led by Gordon Brown. Alan has been involved in a board support role ever since. Alan's background in running/owning recruitment businesses has been beneficial to the board of Nine Twenty as the organisation continues to grow. In general, Alan is an all-round support to senior management and a key member of the team.

Caroline became part of the Nine Twenty team in 2017, stepping into the role of Business Support Administrator for our Engineering & Technology divisions. With a background in administration across various sectors including Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, and Letting Agents, Caroline brought a breadth of experience to the table.
In 2018, Caroline's journey with us took a positive turn as she transitioned to support Karen as a Consultant in our Engineering & Manufacturing Team. It was here that Caroline got her first taste of recruitment, and it quickly became evident that she had found her calling. Since then, she has progressed to become Recruitment Manager, driven by her passion for delivering a unique recruitment experience for both our clients and candidates alike.

Chris has built an impressive Network & Reputation and is known for creating mutually beneficial partnerships. When recruiting, Chris generally focuses on Senior Appointments within Technology businesses.

After 10 years working in Financial Services, Danielle is one of many who fell into recruitment not really knowing what to expect. Danielle loves being able to give candidates brilliant opportunities to enhance their careers, changing lives one job at a time, and at the same time making sure clients have the very best talent the market has to offer.
14 years later Danielle is fully embedded in the world of Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics supporting clients and candidates all over Scotland in a variety of industries covering both Permanent and temporary hires. Danielle is a Mum to two boys who keep her very busy, she thoroughly enjoys the work/ life balance.
Gordon has been working in the recruitment industry for over 20 years and is the proud business owner of Nine Twenty Technology, and Partner with Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing, NT Assured Solutions and NT Agile Recruitment and NT International.
Nine Twenty has moved into new verticals across the UK and peaking around twenty five individuals across the UK. The brand has also expanded on its key sectors and Gordon continues to push boundaries across the use of innovative technologies and pioneering recruitment methods.

Karen has worked in the recruitment sector for 14 years, specialised in the Engineering and Manufacturing sectors. Karen loves the industry and is passionate about making a difference. Karen franchised the Engineering and Manufacturing business from the Group over two years ago so her role as Managing Director is all encompassing.
Karen is hands on with recruitment solutions for clients and manages and grows a successful team - nothing feels greater than seeing your employees grow and thrive. From everything to marketing, finance, training, culture, CSR, quality, cash flows, network, and innovating. Karen supports many initiatives around how to help create more diverse cultures within a business and is heavily involved in initiatives to attract young people into the sector.
As a member of the board at SmartStems, Karen is extremely passionate about inspiring young people to become involved in STEM subjects, and dedicates time to bringing events and opportunities to Nine Twenty to help grow awareness of their initiatives.

Having spent almost 2 years in the Nine Twenty Tech & Digital team, Ricky returned to Nine Twenty to work with the Engineering & Manufacturing team in November 2024.
Ricky enjoys the relationships that he develops with candidates and clients, as well as the satisfaction of knowing that he is helping people find the next step in their career and helping clients find the right staff to help grow and develop their company.
