MØLLER INSTITUTE - Key Persons
Adam has over 25 years experience working in the City of London as a lawyer, having qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and becoming a partner in 2002. He spent over 15 years as a Partner at a "Magic Circle" law firm, over five of which was spent as Head of Leveraged Finance.
His focus was advising financial institutions and private equity firms in relation to acquisition finance transactions, which included both the initial leveraged buy-out but also subsequent refinancings and restructurings. During his career he worked on some of the largest transactions in the European market. He was intimately involved in the development of new structures and techniques in the European leveraged finance market including the introduction of the second lien product and the advent of "covenant lite" terms.
Adam was part of the Loan Market Association's technical committee in relation to leveraged finance documentation and he lectured to market participants on key aspects of documentation. He also wrote a number of topical articles for publication in a variety of publications including IFLR and LMA News. He was ranked as a leading practitioner by both the Chambers and Legal 500 directories which benchmark the performance of lawyers in their chosen field.
As Head of Leveraged Finance, Adam was responsible for a large team of lawyers and support staff from the point of their recruitment until they left the firm. This led to an interest in, and focus on, leadership and teamwork. He was a mentor to a large number of lawyers and also an ally to a number of his firm's LGBT members of staff. He became interested in the various techniques and styles of leadership with a view to developing a culture of elite performance. Adam is also a cancer survivor, having been diagnosed in 2013. This has led to a profound interest in mental toughness and resiliency and how these attributes can be taught and fostered to assist people in coping with pressure whilst avoiding stress.
He is an energetic and charismatic coach and presenter who relishes investing his time in others to develop and improve their skills.
Author, educator, adviser Adam Kingl is sought for his expertise on the future of work and business innovation. His most recent book is Sparking Success, published by Kogan Page in 2023, what business can learn from leaders in arts organisations about habits, mindsets and processes that enhance creativity, innovation, inspiration and adaptability. Another of his primary areas of research is on the work and leadership paradigms of Generation Y, a demographic that composes over 65% of the global workforce today and 75% by 2025, to shine a light on the fundamental paradigm shifts that we will face in terms of what's important to the world of business and how it will be led. This is the subject of his book Next Generation Leadership, published by HarperCollins in 2020.
Related to the future of business, companies are concerned about how they can innovate in order to be prepared for the seismic shifts they will face. Through this lens, Adam also speaks from a practical perspective on topics such as how to improve strategic (business model) innovation, management (or leadership) innovation, leadership, purpose, and how successfully to leverage culture and engagement in work-life.
Previously, Adam was the Regional Managing Director for Duke Corporate Education, Europe and Executive Director of Thought Leadership and Learning Solutions for London Business School. There, he directed some of the School's flagship open enrolment titles and served as an Associate of the Management Lab, Saatchi & Saatchi and the European Foundation for Management Development for two years.
Ade is a former technologist. He graduated with a degree in astrophysics and his career has involved working at the European Space Agency in the Space Science department. Much of his early career focused on software engineering. More latterly he advises business and government leaders on how to thrive in the digital age by focusing on the cognitive capacity and needs of their people. In essence, he has a ‘bits to boardroom' understanding of how the world is changing and how to turn that into value. He has a unique perspective on what individuals and organisations need to do in order to thrive.
Ade has a human-centric perspective on how organisations need to move forward to thrive in the digital age. He has encapsulated this into a method that underpins his advisory work. He draws upon anthropology, biology, human performance and new technology. For this reason he is often engaged by organisations who can sense the digital tsunami is coming their way.

A member of the Core Teaching Team of the Møller Institute's unique Explorer Mindset senior leadership development programme, Caroline Rippin is a presentation skills trainer, helping her clients to realise their full potential through raised self awareness of mindset, body, and voice.
Caroline has worked as a professional actor for more than 20 years in theatres across the world. Caroline has worked extensively in the corporate and public sectors with Menagerie Theatre Training and privately, coaching teams and individuals to develop confidence in communications and presentation skills.
Background
Since graduating from Bretton Hall Drama School, Caroline has worked as a professional actor for more than 20 years, in theatres across the world. After working with a number of companies who take theatre out of a traditional setting and create interactive experiences between audience and performer, she became fascinated by the nuances of the relationship… how even a dialogue where one party is for the most part silent is, nonetheless, a dialogue.
Alongside her theatre work she established Snapshot Theatre, a theatre in education company which helps students, through interacting with the drama, to explore and discover how behaviour can change outcomes in potentially challenging situations… because our actions create reactions and, through self awareness, we can effect what that reaction is.
Caroline went on to work with student doctors and others in the public sector on presentation and communication skills and continues this work in the Clinical Communication School at Addenbrookes. She has worked extensively in the corporate sector with Menagerie Theatre Training and privately, coaching teams and individuals. Caroline takes the skills she has honed as a performer and the insight she has gained as a trainer and workshop facilitator to offer a creatively effective approach to teaching presentation skills with her "SELF" programme. Most recently she has contributed to programmes with The British Council - Future Leaders, Sydney University, Karama - Women At The Top Table, dmg and China Construction Bank.
