Alastair Fraser - Managing Director

Alastair graduated with a First Class honours degree in Electronics Engineering in 1984 from the University of Western Australia and was the top student in his year. In 1985 after working as a course tutor for his University performing research into laser physics, he accepted an offer from British Aerospace as an electronics design engineer at their Spacecraft Systems Division in Bristol, England. In this role Alastair designed flight computers, scientific instruments and navigation software for Scientific Spacecraft. In 1988 Alastair was assigned to head a team designing a new computer based cost estimating and project management system for British Aerospace plc. After review by international authorities this system is currently considered to be one of the best of its type in the world.

Bob Lawrence

Originally trained as an Electronics Design & Development Engineer, Bob spent his early career designing Industrial Control Systems, gaining experience automating a diverse range of industries including Steelmaking, Electroplating, Electronics, Metal Goods and Food Processing. His career progressed to Board level roles in the Electronics and Defence sectors, in both technical areas holding several patents for control systems, and in Operations Management. He was also responsible for the Project Management of capital projects, including two complete factories, pioneering the then new technologies of Surface Mount Assembly and Robotics in the electronics industry. With a growing interest in the area of Business Systems for the SME market and the increasing use of computer networks, he project managed and implemented systems within engineering group companies, before joining a multi national ERP software house. As a systems provider he has held a number of roles within Pre-Sales Consultancy, Project Management/Implementation Consultancy, and Account Management.

John Thompson

As a former member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants John has had over 20 years of experience as an accountant in various business sectors including Canned Food, Machine Tools, Barbeques to name three. This vast experience has given him an insight into most business processes and allowed him to be part of the transition from manual process to computerised process. In 1996 John moved into the IT industry working as a consultant for several dealerships associated with Sage products. With his vast accountancy experience and technical knowledge, he was persuaded to join BlueStone to oversee the technical aspects of our implementations.

Mike Page

Job Titles:

  • Director
Mike Page is a Chartered Accountant of many years standing. His experience covers major audit and investigation experience in the UK and overseas. Either as an auditor representing major accountancy practices or reporting to the World Bank he has been involved in the auditing, reporting and investigations into organisations ranging in size from multi-nationals to the owner managed sector.

Susan Robinson MAAT

Job Titles:
  • Senior Consultant
A member of the Association of Accounting Technicians Su first of all worked as a Civil Servant for six years before moving into the private business sector. Her career went from strength to strength, with responsibilities as Quality Manager, Finance Manager, Project Manager and Financial Controller. In 2001 Su joined BlueStone as a consultant for Sage Line 100, but her understanding of complex business processes in Distribution and Manufacturing were soon recognised and she quickly progressed to become one of our senior consultants. She has recently gone through the Sage Accreditation process for Sage MMS v2 and achieved one of the highest past rates recorded, and as a reflection of this Su is now overseeing all of the technical aspects relating to BlueStone's Sage MMS implementations.
