Branch 361 was originally chartered in 1893 by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) to represent city letter carriers in Lexington. Branch 361 began merging with branches in adjoining counties in the early 1970s, after the Postal Reorganization Act brought about the era of collective bargaining, and became known as the Central Kentucky " Bluegrass" Branch... Branch 361 of the National Association of Letter Carriers represents the active and retired Letter Carriers of Central Kentucky. The Officers and Stewards enforce the National Agreement and multiple Local Memorandums of Understanding in five stations in Lexington and in thirteen Post Offices in the Bluegrass area. We organize our membership to lobby Congress on Postal and Federal Retiree issues. We provide information and assistance to employees transitioning into retirement.
