CAVI provides evidence-based, customizable professional development for K-12 educators, supporting the academic, social, emotional, and linguistic needs of culturally diverse learners. In conjunction with the CAVI Coaching Model, our trainings translate the ESSA expectation of "sustained, intensive, collaborative, job-embedded, data-driven, and classroom-focused" activities in a manner that facilitates immediate implementation and builds educators' confidence in the classroom... At the turn of the 21st century, it was estimated that by the year 2025 one in four students enrolled in public schools would come from homes where a language other than English was spoken. During that timeframe, 42% of U.S. teachers reported having at least one English Learner (EL) enrolled in their classes, but only 12.5% of these teachers had received EL professional development.
