My work explores the relationship between reality and fiction. With influences as diverse as Keng Lye and Salvador Dali, new combinations are generated from both opaque and transparent discourse. Ever since I was a young child I was intrigued and curious how things were built and worked. My dad, being the same way, helped me see things from new angles to not only understand how it was built or worked but how it could be improved or changed to become something different. As I got more into the arts I brought that mindset and translated it into drawings, sculptures, and paintings. I would use different materials for techniques, textures, or mediums they typically would not be used for. I find that some of the more unconventional methods can oftentimes bring out a better final product. While I enjoy creating realistic pieces of work and finding ways to make things look more realistic, I also enjoy immersing in the world of abstract and fiction. The possibilities are endless.
