Kiran Gibson is an experienced senior member of our Criminal Defence Team in Woking. She is a fully accredited solicitor and police station representative. Kiran has represented and advised clients in all manner of driving related offences from the minor, speeding to the most serious, death by dangerous driving.
Kiran has had successful outcomes in cases where clients have been charged with failing to provide a specimen, driving whilst unfit through drugs/drink, aggravated vehicle taking and failing to stop/report following an accident.
Kiran has run successful arguments whereby clients have had their driving licences returned to them earlier than the expiry of the disqualification, following a lengthy disqualification, exceptional hardship arguments and special reasons arguments.
Lisa qualified at Blackfords LLP in 2011, having graduated from Oxford University and then passed her Legal Practice Course with distinction.
Lisa is a dedicated criminal solicitor, who defends those charged with criminal offences across the spectrum. She is instructed by clients who have cases at all stages of the criminal justice system.
Lisa is regularly instructed by defendants charged with road traffic offences, including drink-drive related offences, speeding, no insurance and dangerous or careless driving. She has also advised professional drivers in relation to driving overladen goods vehicles.
She has a record of securing acquittals at trial and assisting defendants in retaining their driving licences. She has experience in successfully raising both special reasons and exceptional hardship arguments to avoid disqualifications for her clients.
Lisa's clients have commented on her friendly and empathetic approach, as well as her ability to explain complex legal concepts and procedure.
Penny Hunter is a Solicitor who works in our Criminal Defence Team based in Woking. Penny has practiced in criminal law in Surrey and Hampshire for the last 15 years. She is known for her dedicated and compassionate approach to her clients.
Penny is an accomplished practitioner who has extensive experience in representing a diverse range of clients including individuals charged with murder, historic sexual offences, fatal non- accidental injuries on a baby and serious organised crime.
Penny has practised in Military Law and is very experienced in dealing with the Royal Military Police and Military Court Centres in the UK and abroad.
Shalin is a Solicitor-Advocate who works in our Criminal Defence Team based in Woking.
Shalin has significant and wide-ranging experience across the entire spectrum of criminal litigation undertaken in the Magistrates' Court, Crown Court and Appellate Courts. Shalin specialises in dealing with cases involving serious sexual offences, human trafficking and serious assaults.
She has also been involved with high-profile prosecutions brought by the Serious Fraud Office concerning allegations of bribery, as well as other high value and complex fraud and confiscation cases.
Shalin speaks fluent Punjabi.
