I was now the horse owner that trimmed my own horse! When my Appy could no longer be kept consistently sound, we made the decision to have her put down. I'm a firm believer in providing the best possible quality of life for my animals. My farrier played an integral role in that mission, and I'll never forget what a difference he made. I was determined to make a difference in the lives of animals, and this was the avenue I wanted to pursue. He took me, "the kid in the skirt," seriously when I said I wanted to be a farrier too...
