Bruce Nevill was a practice owner in South Africa before getting the opportunity to specialise in small animal surgery at the University of Pretoria. He completed a masters degree in surgery and then stayed on at the university for several years as part of the academic hospital surgical referral service. He has wide experience in orthopaedic, soft tissue and spinal surgery.

Fergus has over 30 years' experience in veterinary general practice. He subscribes to the ethos that "Every animal entrusted to our care is treated as if it was our own" underpinned by compassionate clinical expertise and care. His interest in pain management started in 2005 and he has been offering a referral service in pain management for pets across Scotland since 2010. His aim is to improve pets' quality of life and to help them live happy, healthy and pain free lives. After three years' postgraduate study at the University of Edinburgh, he was awarded an MSc (with Distinction) in Clinical Management of Pain in 2014.

She has worked in a variety of different veterinary settings, including 1st opinion, charity hospitals, out of hours, and referral centres. Marcel Kovalik

Marcel qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2004. Following graduation he obtained a PhD in the field of allergies, pharmacology and immunology. In 2012 Marcel completed a three year residency programme at the University of Edinburgh and is board-certified by the European College of Veterinary Dermatology. He has special interests in veterinary dermatohistopathology and dermatological therapeutics but is interested in all aspects of canine, feline and equine skin conditions.
