LOBBYING CONTRACTS

We use proprietary algorithms to source and transform data from publicly available sources. We obtain our data primarily from the U.S. Senate's Lobbying Disclosure Act database, the U.S. House of Representatives' Lobbying Disclosure Act electronic filer, and the Clerk of the House's Office of the Clerk Disclosure Search. These sources provide us with detailed information on lobbying contracts, firms, entities, and lobbyists that are active in the US. The first step in our process is to gather the raw data from these public sources in its original format, which may include documents and forms in various file formats. Then, we use sophisticated data science algorithms to extract, clean and standardize the information. Our algorithms perform tasks such as identifying, extracting and structuring relevant data fields and correcting errors or inconsistencies in the data.
