Alan Kolar serves as the President of Capital Markets for Mill Creek Residential with company-wide responsibility for capital markets, finance and portfolio management. Mr. Kolar is a founding partner of Mill Creek and a member of the Mill Creek Investment Committee. Prior to his position as President for Mill Creek, Mr. Kolar held a variety of positions at Mill Creek and Trammell Crow Residential over a 23-year period. This included Chief Financial Officer, Executive Managing Director of Capital Markets, Senior Managing Director of the North Florida and Southeast Divisions, Chief Financial Officer of the Southeast Region, and, Vice President of Accommodations America - Trammell Crow Residential's extended stay housing division. Mr. Kolar has held previous positions with Security Capital Industrial in Atlanta, Georgia and SouthTrust Bank in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Kolar received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), an Advisory Board Member of the Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Florida, a member of the Finance Committee of Lift Orlando, Inc. and an Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.

Ashvani Chuchra

Ashvani Chuchra is one of the founding partners of Mill Creek and serves as the Executive Managing Director and National Practice Leader for Planning and Design, working closely with each of Mill Creek's regional leaders and division-level development and construction teams to identify, evaluate, share, and implement the best planning and design practices throughout the company. And, as he has for many years in the eastern business divisions, he'll work with all development and construction leaders to assist in evaluating and planning the most cost efficient and functionally efficient community designs. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Chuchra was a Senior Managing Director with Trammell Crow Residential where he was responsible for planning, product design and product development during his 13-year tenure there. Prior to that, Mr. Chuchra was a Vice President at Lessard Architectural Group for seven years where he was responsible for the land planning department. Mr. Chuchra started his career in the Connecticut/New York/New Jersey tri-state area as an Architect, Urban Designer and Land Planner where he worked for five years. Mr. Chuchra received his Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Chandigarh College of Architecture and a Master's Degree in Urban Design from the University of Oklahoma.

Callum Parrott

Callum Parrott is a founding partner and serves as President of Single-Family Rentals. Prior to his role as President of Single-Family Rentals, Mr. Parrott served as Executive Managing Director with overall responsibility for Mill Creek's development activity in the company's Southeast region. Mr. Parrott is a member of the Mill Creek Management Committee. Prior to this role, Mr. Parrott served as Senior Managing Director for Mill Creek and Trammell Crow in South Florida, responsible for new project development, site acquisition, product design, construction and project approvals. Previous to that, he was a real estate developer for a large restaurant chain based in the southeast, where he was responsible for site acquisition and development in Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. His previous experience also includes two years with Gables Residential in Atlanta. During his twenty-two year career in the multifamily industry, Mr. Parrott has been involved in the development of over 11,000 multifamily homes. Mr. Parrott attended the College of Charleston and received his Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Southeast Florida Apartment Association.

Chad DuBeau

Chad DuBeau is a founding partner of Mill Creek and serves as Executive Managing Director for Arizona, Colorado, and Southern California. Prior to his role as Executive Managing Director, Mr. DuBeau served as Senior Managing Director of Mill Creek's development efforts in Georgia, Tennessee, and North Florida regions, where he was responsible for pursuing new development opportunities, product design, and the pursuit of entitlements to meet all local jurisdictional requirements. Prior to this role, Mr. DuBeau served as Managing Director in Mill Creek's Mid-Atlantic region where he notably had oversight of the 628 home apartment community, Modera Avenir Place, at the Dunn Loring Metro Station in Merrifield, Virginia. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. DuBeau was a Managing Director with Trammell Crow Residential (TCR). Prior to joining TCR, Mr. DuBeau was a Regional Operations Manager with the Bozzuto Group, a role in which he was active throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with a concentration on the Washington, DC, and Baltimore markets. At Bozzuto, he was responsible for all phases of development for multiple product categories, including multifamily homes, town-homes, and single-family homes, and land development projects. Prior to Bozzuto, he worked as a Project Manager for Milestone Communities and as Project Engineer for VIKA, Inc. Mr. DuBeau obtained a Bachelor of Science from University of Delaware in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the George Washington University.

Charles "Chip" Bay

As one of the founding partners of Mill Creek Residential and Chief Construction Officer, Chip Bay has overall responsibility for construction. Mr. Bay serves as a member of the Mill Creek Board of Directors, Management Committee and Investment Committee. Previously, Mr. Bay was the National Practice leader for Development and Construction for Mill Creek. Prior to that he served as the Senior Managing Director for the Mid-Atlantic Division of Mill Creek and Trammell Crow Residential, where he oversaw the development and construction of multifamily rental communities throughout the region. During his career, Mr. Bay has been involved in the entitlement, development and construction of over 25,000 multifamily homes. Mr. Bay received his Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He also earned a Master of Strategic Intelligence from the Defense Intelligence College. He is a member of the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) and the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) He serves on the NMHC Design and Construction Peer Group.

Darren Schackman - Chief Investment Officer

Darren Schackman is one of the original founding members of Mill Creek Residential, chairman of the Mill Creek Investment Committee, member of the Mill Creek Management Committee, and serves as Mill Creek's Chief Investment Officer. He also oversees the company's retail efforts nationally. Prior to his position as CIO, Mr. Schackman served as Executive Managing Director, responsible for the West region, inclusive of California, Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and Texas. Since Mill Creek's inception, Mr. Schackman's team has completed the development and construction of over 20,000 apartment homes with a market capitalization of over $5 billion. Mr. Schackman joined Mill Creek Residential from Trammell Crow Residential's North Texas Division, where he was the Senior Managing Director. In this role, he led the development, finance, and construction teams on more than 20 multifamily rental and for-sale communities. Previous to his tenure at Trammell Crow, he was the Vice President of Development for a private development firm in Dallas and Galveston, Texas. Mr. Schackman began his career with the City of Galveston where he rose to the position of Director of Planning and Development. Mr. Schackman is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Regional Development. He is also a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Texas Real Estate Council.

David L. Reynolds

David L. Reynolds serves as President of Investment Management. His team is primarily responsible for raising institutional equity in fund-like structures, such as Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), to finance Mill Creek's development pipeline (multifamily and single-family rental) and its multi-investor Value-Add Fund, in which Mill Creek acquires apartment communities at its own discretion. Additionally, the Investment Management team continues to explore other fundraising strategies to provide equity to finance the long-term ownership of residential rental communities. Prior to this role, Mr. Reynolds served as Mill Creek's Chief Financial Officer with overall responsibility for the finance and capital markets activity as well as accounting, human resources, and information technology departments. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Reynolds worked in real estate private equity for fourteen years, most recently at Five Mile Capital Partners (FMCP) where he served as Managing Director for over ten years. At FMCP, he focused on investing in distressed real estate opportunities. Prior to this, Mr. Reynolds spent fourteen years in real estate investment banking at UBS Warburg and its predecessor companies, Kidder Peabody and PaineWebber and obtained the title of Managing Director. As an investment banker, he worked on over 50 lead managed transactions including: IPOs; common stock, preferred stock, and unsecured debt offerings. Additionally, he advised on approximately a dozen M&A transactions and took eight real estate companies through the rating agency process. Mr. Reynolds began his career in 1984 at Arthur Andersen & Co. as an auditor in its real estate and finance division. Mr. Reynolds is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. Reynolds holds a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Commerce with a concentration in accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

David Lowery - Chief Legal Officer

David Lowery serves as General Counsel for Mill Creek Residential. Mr. Lowery joined Mill Creek Residential in 2019 from Jones Day where he served clients in large real estate transactions and guided many of the largest real estate private equity funds in their investment and operating matters both domestically and abroad. Mr. Lowery's practice at Jones Day focused on acquisitions and dispositions of projects and portfolios, real estate company M&A, borrower side financings, and equity joint ventures. He has significant experience in cross-border real estate matters as well as loan workouts and distressed transactions. Mr. Lowery co-chaired Jones Day's Real Estate Practice worldwide for more than 15 years. He served as an adjunct professor in real estate at SMU Dedman School of Law from 2013 through 2018.

Jeff Meran

Jeff Meran serves as the Executive Managing Director for Mill Creek's Southeast Division inclusive of Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee, where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of development for multifamily communities in the region, from site acquisition through design, approvals, financing, leasing, and disposition of assets. Mr. Meran previously served as Mill Creek's Senior Managing Director for Florida. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Meran was a Development Associate in the South Florida office for Trammel Crow Residential, Director of Planning and Zoning for Ascot Development, and a Development Associate for Ram Development. Since 2004, he has developed approximately 12,000 multifamily homes, with a total capitalization of over $3.5 Billion. Mr. Meran is a licensed member of the Florida Bar and practiced as a real estate attorney in Miami prior to beginning his real estate development career. In addition to his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Meran holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jerry Williams

Jerry Williams serves as Vice President of Human Resources with Mill Creek Residential, focusing his efforts on contributing to the development and execution of the organizational business plan and objectives. Mr. Williams joined Mill Creek Residential in 2015. He is responsible for overseeing the overall human resources process, including associate on and off boarding, performance management, health and welfare benefits, as well as supporting management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions. Prior to joining Mill Creek Residential, Mr. Williams served as Vice President, Human Resources with WesTower Communications and was responsible for the start-up of the human resources department. Prior to working with WesTower Communications, Mr. Williams served in a multitude of human resources management roles within various industries to include construction, manufacturing, and horticulture that involved acquisitions and divestitures throughout the United States. Mr. Williams received his Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. He is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Jim Keeley - CFO

Mr. Keeley has over 25 years of financial and accounting leadership experience covering a diverse set of industries in both publicly traded and private companies. Mr. Keeley joined Mill Creek Residential in 2019 from Internap Corporation, a publicly traded global provider of data centers and cloud solutions, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure at Internap Corporation, Mr. Keeley was responsible for finance, information systems, and procurement. Prior to Internap, Mr. Keeley served as the CFO for Tahzoo, LLC, Icore Networks Inc., where he was instrumental in the sale of the company to Vonage Holdings Corporation, and Primus Telecommunications Group, a publicly traded global telecommunications company. Mr. Keeley holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fairmont State College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kellie Hughes

She brings more than 25 years of combined marketing, training, multifamily development, and property operations experience to Mill Creek. Prior to joining Mill Creek in 2014, Ms. Hughes served as Vice President and Director of Operations for JIK Properties, Inc. During her tenure with JIK, she was responsible for leading the property management organization, developing and executing asset life-cycle strategy, and was responsible for overseeing the multifamily development process. Prior to working with JIK, Ms. Hughes served as a Vice President of Operations for Alliance Residential and Vice President of Marketing, Training and National Ancillary Services for Archstone. Ms. Hughes holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from Saint Mary's College of California.

Maria Rigopoulos

Maria Rigopoulos is a founding partner, member of the Investment Committee, and serves as Executive Vice President of Asset Management for Mill Creek. Ms. Rigopoulos's primary responsibilities are to maximize property performance and drive investment value by working with Mill Creek's development, acquisition and property management divisions to establish, communicate and implement asset strategy. Prior to her current role in asset management, Ms. Rigopoulos served as a Managing Director of Development with overall responsibility for the company's development operations in New York and Connecticut. Her responsibilities included pursuing new development opportunities, product design, the pursuit of entitlements to meet all local jurisdictional requirements, and overseeing the development and construction process. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Ms. Rigopoulos served as a Vice President of Development in the Northeast for Trammell Crow Residential. Michael M. Hefley - COO

Mike Hefley joined Mill Creek Residential in 2012 to build and oversee the Property Operation's organization. Mr. Hefley serves as a member of the Management Committee, Investment Committee, Board of Directors and as Chief Operations Officer for Mill Creek, with overall responsibility for all property operations, asset management, marketing, training, and branding. Prior to joining Mill Creek Residential, Mr. Hefley served as Director at Wood Partners, where he had similar responsibilities. Prior to joining Wood Partners, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Gables Residential Trust, a $2.5 billion NYSE-traded REIT, where he led an operating team that managed more than 50,000 apartment homes. He also was responsible for the creation and administration of a national market research program and review of all investment and new development opportunities through the Investment Committee process. Before that, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Trammell Crow Residential Services in Florida. Mr. Hefley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas State University with a concentration in marketing. He is a past board member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and past President and seven-year board member of the South Florida Apartment Association.

Michael Melaugh

Michael Melaugh, a Mill Creek founding partner, serves as the Executive Managing Director of Capital Markets & Finance for Mill Creek Residential with overall responsibility for obtaining and structuring all equity joint venture financing throughout the United States. Mr. Melaugh is a member of the Mill Creek Investment Committee. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Melaugh served as the Executive Managing Director of National Capital Markets for Trammell Crow Residential and held that position since 1994. In previous positions, he was Chief Operating Officer of Elders American Realty Capital in New York, a private equity investment group. Prior to that experience, he was President of Eastdil Equities Inc. in New York, a private Broker / Dealer of Real Estate Equities. Mr. Melaugh is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Samuel Simone

Prior to this position with Mill Creek, Mr. Simone was a Managing Director in the company's Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining Mill Creek Residential at its formation in 2011, Mr. Simone served as Managing Director and prior to that Development Associate with Trammell Crow Residential. Prior to Trammell Crow Residential, Mr. Simone was a Senior Real Estate Consultant with Arthur Andersen's Real Estate Consulting Portfolio Services Group in New York City. In this role, Mr. Simone's responsibilities included the management of due diligence and advisory service projects including both single-asset and portfolio real estate acquisitions, financings, depositions, commercial mortgage backed securities transaction (CMBS) valuations, joint venture analysis, property valuations, and office and hotel development financial modeling/analysis for investment banks and large institutional investors. Mr. Simone received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York in Business Administration and Finance. Sam Simone is a founding member of Mill Creek Residential and serves as the Executive Managing Director of Investment Management. Prior to this role, Mr. Simone served as Senior Managing Director of the Southern California region where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's development activity including site acquisition, entitlements, financing, construction, and disposition.

Sean Caldwell

He currently serves as an Executive Managing Director with overall responsibility for development in Mill Creek's Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions, including Washington, D.C., Boston, the greater New York City metropolitan area, and North Carolina. Prior to this role, Mr. Caldwell served as Senior Managing Director where he managed the company's development activity for the Mid-Atlantic region. During his career, he has been involved in the entitlement, development and construction of over 10,000 multifamily homes. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Caldwell was a Managing Director for Trammell Crow Residential where he was responsible for all phases of the development process for both rental and for-sale multifamily communities. Prior to joining Trammell Crow, Mr. Caldwell was a Senior Project Manager with the civil engineering firm of VIKA, Inc. In this role, his responsibilities included the design, coordination, management, and approval of multiple development projects throughout the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. Projects varied from 500 home multifamily development communities to 200,000 sf commercial redevelopment projects. Mr. Caldwell received his Bachelor of Science Degree from George Mason University in Civil Engineering and his Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA), the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He also has served in various capacities with the Northern Virginia Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

Sean G. Hyatt

Sean Hyatt is one of the original founding members of Mill Creek Residential and serves as Executive Managing Director for the Pacific Northwest and Northern California divisions, where he is responsible for oversight of all development activity. Prior to his role as Executive Managing Director, Mr. Hyatt served as Senior Managing Director for the Pacific Northwest. In his role as Senior Managing Director, Mr. Hyatt was responsible for identifying, developing, and delivering all Mill Creek communities in his area. Immediately prior to Mill Creek's founding in 2010, Mr. Hyatt was a Managing Director with Trammell Crow Residential (TCR). He has over 28 years of experience in civil engineering, land use planning, and real estate development in California, Washington, and Oregon, and has developed multifamily, senior, and condominium communities as well as mixed use projects. Prior to joining TCR, Mr. Hyatt was Vice President of AMCAL Multi-Housing, where he developed communities throughout California, and was previously with The Related Companies. Mr. Hyatt began his career with regional civil engineering firms in the Seattle area. Mr. Hyatt earned a Master of Business Administration from The Marshall School of Business at The University of Southern California, and is a graduate of The University of Washington. He is a long-standing Urban Land Institute (ULI) member, and is active with the regional Multifamily Product Council.

Shari Steinhardt

Shari Steinhardt is the Vice President of Accounting for Mill Creek Residential. As Vice President of Accounting, she oversees the team that is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting. Prior to joining Mill Creek, she was the Chief Accounting Officer of Trammell Crow Residential. Ms. Steinhardt was with Trammell Crow Residential and other affiliated entities for over 25 years serving in different accounting capacities. Shari started her career in South Florida with local CPA firms, focusing on audit and tax. Ms. Steinhardt received her BS degree in Accounting from Auburn University. She is based in our Boca Raton, Florida office.

Stephen Prochnow

Stephen Prochnow is a partner, serves as Executive Vice President of Property Management for Mill Creek Residential. In his role, Mr. Prochnow is responsible overseeing the day-to-day operating performance of Mill Creek's communities, assisting with community transactions, and pursuing operational goals that are designed to increase the value of Mill Creek's communities. Mr. Prochnow joined Mill Creek in 2012 as a Regional Manager and was rapidly promoted to the position of Vice President of Property Management for the Texas, Mountain, and Pacific Northwest regions. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Prochnow served as a Regional Director for Verde Realty. While with Verde, he was responsible for managing the operational activities of a portfolio of assets in Texas until the portfolio was sold. Prior to joining Verde Realty, he worked as a Regional Director for PRG Real Estate. Mr. Prochnow was responsible for day-to-day operations of a large, multi-state portfolio. Mr. Prochnow holds a Masters of Real Estate from the University of Texas - Arlington and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of South Carolina.

Bill MacDonald, a founding partner, is Mill Creek's Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President. Prior to his role as CEO, Mr. MacDonald served as Chief Investment Officer and President with overall responsibility for all development, construction, acquisition and market research activity. Mill Creek's current pipeline and developed rental communities has a total capitalization of over $14 billion. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. MacDonald served as Executive Managing Director of the Eastern United States for Trammell Crow Residential (TCR). During his tenure, his divisions developed more than 40,000 units with a total capitalization of over $5 billion. Prior to his role as an EMD, Mr. MacDonald served as the Chief Financial Officer of Trammell Crow Residential for the South Florida Division. Prior to joining TCR, Mr. MacDonald was a Senior Vice President for a private real estate development company in Connecticut. Mr. MacDonald received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Maryland and his Master of Business Administration from the Columbia Graduate School of Business. Mr. MacDonald is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), the former Counselor to the five Multifamily Councils at the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and is currently a Governing Trustee at ULI.
