Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana mni was born in 1971 into the family of Alhaji Abubakar Kana. He hails from Nasarawa State. Dr. Kana began his educational career in Ahmadu Maikwato Primary School, Keffi before gaining admission to Federal Government College, Odogbolu, Ogun State. He completed his secondary education at Government College, Keffi, after which he obtained the Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Jos, Plateau State.
He embarked on the mandatory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) at the Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital, Kaduna. He obtained Fellowship in Ophthalmology after completing the Residency Training of the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria. He further obtained Certificate in Community Ophthalmology from Kilimanjaro Centre for Community Ophthalmology - Arusha, Tanzania. He also had his Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (PGDPA) from the Department of Political Science, Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto.
He attended the World Bank Institute - Budapest, Hungary; Islamic Development Bank funded training on Leadership/Innovation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and later obtained a certificate in KAIZEN from the Malaysia Institute of Technology (MIT) - Kuala Lumpur as well as certificate in Leadership from the John Hopkins University, Maryland, USA. He is a proud Alumnus of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.
In year 2000, the Permanent Secretary worked in the Department of Ophthalmology, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also held several other National positions in the Federal Civil Service including Head of the Federal Government Staff Eye Clinic, Abuja, Technical Adviser to the Minister of State for Health, Head of Health Desk, Office of Senior Special Assistant to the President on MDGs under the leadership of Amina Muhammed, the current Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations.
Dr. Kana also served under four different Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Ministry of Health as Senior Special Assistant. During Kana's tenure in the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) where he represented the Ministry as Commissioner in Charge of Health, he initiated major reform programmes which led to the complete turnaround of healthcare provision for Nigerian Pilgrims from 2011-2019.
He was the National Program Manager, Saving One Million Lives Programme for Results- a 500 Million USD World Bank supported programme, a task he successfully discharged.
Dr. Kana is a recipient of several National and International Awards and has served on many Presidential and Ministerial Committees.
Touted to be exceptionally hardworking and thorough, feelers have it that, his appointment signals a new vista for the emergence of new generation of Permanent Secretaries with a fresh level of thoughts and ideas common to prevailing reality.
As Permanent Secretary, Dr. Kana will deepen and bring to bear sparkling brilliance and excellence that he has expended since joining the Civil Service as a Medical Doctor and Ophthalmologist.

Engr. Joseph Oluwafemi Adodo hails from Erinje in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State. He completed his Secondary School Education from Birch Freeman High School, Surulere, Lagos in 1979. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo state between 1979 and 1984.
He graduated in 1984 with Bachelor of Engineering Decree; he served as a Physic and Mathematics Teacher in Government Secondary School, Wukari, in old Gongola State during his National Youth Services year between 1984 and 1985. He is a Member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers. He is a certified registered Mechanical Engineer by COREN. Worked briefly with Leventis Motors Plc between 1985 and 1991 as a Workshop Engineer/Manager and other Private Engineering Organisations after which he joined Ministry of Defence in 1993 as a Senior Engineer.
He was promoted to the position of Deputy Director (Mechanical) on the 1 st January, 2010.
He is presently sitting in for Director (General Services) Ministry of Defence with effect from February, 2021.

A Deputy Director (Finance & Accounts) in the Federal Civil Service, Mr. Fayemi who is an experienced Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and member of several other Professional bodies had worked in the Banking Sector and SDV as the Cash Planning Manager before joining the Civil Service. He had also worked in the Presidential Committee on Barracks Rehabilitation (PCBR), Funds Department of the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) and Federal Ministry of Agriculture before he was posted to the Ministry of Defence in 2014. He is currently the Ag. Director of the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry of Defence.

Mr. Shittu was born on the 26 th of September, 1963. He attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1985 - 1989, he graduated with B.Eng. Hons (Civil - Engineering). He proceeded to the University of Birmingham in the year 2001 - 2002, where he obtained his M.Sc. (Water Resources Technology and Management)
His work experience has spanned over 30 years. He started his career with ETTEH ARO & PARTNERS, Kaduna - Nigeria and had worked as a project Engineer with many private entities which include Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) Conference Centre Abuja, Cross River State College of Education, Apkampa, Intelligence Academy Abuja, National War Museum Umuahia, Federal Technical College Shiroro and also as Contributing Engineer on design of 11 story block of flats at Nigeria Paper Mill Ltd lagos, Abuja Stadium Complex, and University of Agriculture permanent site Makurdi.
He joined the Federal Civil Service Commission in 2005 as Assistant Chief Engineer (Procurement) and had since served in various Federal Government Ministries and Parastatals which include Bureau of Public Procurement State House Abuja,Federal Ministry of Transport and Aviation, Satellite Towns Development Agency, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Federal Ministry of Works & Housing and Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
He is a member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE) and that of Council for Regulation of Engineering Practice in Nigeria (COREN)
My Shittu is currently the Director Procurement in the Ministry of Defence and he is happily married with children.
