Alain Bénichou

Alain Bénichou joined Montefiore Investment in 2022 as a Senior Advisor. With a career of nearly 40 years in the field of technology in Europe, Asia and the United States, Alain Bénichou was President of IBM France between 2010 and 2015, Global Vice President IBM Strategy & Solutions in 2016, and CEO of IBM Greater China Group (GCG) from 2019 to 2021. He was especially in charge of the IBM Group's Distribution and SME sector globally. In 2015, Alain was elected Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in France. He launched the "Next Gen" initiative aimed at reinforcing start-up companies in their quests for growth and transatlantic collaboration. Alain is also Chairman of the Institut Henri Poincaré - The French Institute regrouping all Mathematics associations and home to France Fields Medals. Alain graduated from CentraleSupelec engineering school in Paris. He holds the rank of Knight of the Légion d'Honneur in France and is a member of "Le Siècle" Association.

Camille Claverie joined Montefiore Investment in 2019 as a Director. As a member of the investment team, she plays an active role in originating and executing deals and in the value creation process in portfolio companies. She began her career at Morgan Stanley, first as an analyst, then as an investment banking associate in Paris and London. She was involved in various transactions on behalf of investment funds and corporate clients. From 2011 to 2019, she worked for Sargard, lately as a Principal, where she executed and monitored several deals, particularly in the retail and network distribution sectors. Daniel ELALOUF - CEO

Daniel Elalouf participated in the creation of Montefiore Investment in 2005. His responsibilities include new investments, portfolio companies monitoring, and relationships with the AMF and AFIC. He is also Chief Compliance Officer. Daniel began his career as a product manager with the France Telecom group. After working for Morgan Stanley's London office, he became head of Mergers and Acquisitions of FTLIS, a service subsidiary of France Télécom. In 1996, he joined Schroders Ventures, that later became Permira, as a Principal. In this position, he was responsible for various investments in the European retail, Internet and telecoms sectors, such as Domoservices, GFI, AU System and Veba Electronics. Daniel graduated from École Polytechnique and Telecom Paris and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Eric Bismuth founded Montefiore Investment in 2005. He is in charge of the Investment Committee and of Montefiore Investment's development (human resources, marketing and investor relations). He is also involved in new investments and their monitoring. Eric Bismuth began his career as an entrepreneur by founding a financial software company. In 1990, he joined The Boston Consulting Group and became its youngest Partner and Director worldwide in 1997. He specialized in the Consumer & Retail sectors and ultimately lead the BCG Hotels and Leisure practice worldwide. Eric is a graduate of École Centrale de Paris.

Eric Schaefer joined Montefiore Investment as a Partner in October 2020. Priori to that, he was Managing Director at Eurazeo in New York since August 2016, in charge of the Eurazeo Capital team in the US. He started his career at Eurazeo in 2004 in Paris. Eric has led numerous acquisition transactions and served as a director of private companies (including Asmodée in France, Trader Interactive and Elemica in the US) and listed companies. He has accompanied the companies under his responsibility in some fifty external growth operations in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Eric is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and HEC.

Henri Topiol joined Montefiore Investment in 2012. From 2008 to 2012, Henri worked as an Investment Manager for L Capital, where he invested in consumer and retail goods, and was in charge of monitoring portfolio companies. Martin Vial joined Montefiore Investment in June 2022 as a Senior Advisor. He has over 40 years of experience as a manager and investor in the services sector and has developed a comprehensive experience in supporting, developing, and managing large French and European groups as well as SMEs. After various responsibilities in ministerial cabinets, Martin Vial was appointed Chairman and CEO of Aéropostale in 1993, and then became General Director of the La Poste Groupe in 1997. In December 2000, he was appointed Chairman of La Poste Groupe and at the same time Vice-Chairman of the Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance (CNP). Between 2003 and 2014, he was Chief Executive Officer of Europ Assistance Group, world leader in the assistance market with 44 subsidiaries in 33 countries. In 2015, Martin Vial was appointed Commissioner for State Investments, Chief Executive Officer at the Agence des participations de l'Etat and hold this position until June 1, 2022. He also has extensive experience in corporate governance, having served on the boards of directors of SMEs, SMIs and very large listed companies. He is a graduate of ESSEC Business School and of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Postes et Télécommunications.
