Alex Robertson

Alex Robertson is an Associate at Tsircou Intellectual Property Law. Alex focuses primarily on copyright and trademark, as well as business and corporate law. Alex's technological expertise spans a number of fields including, software, 3D printing, medical device innovation, virtual reality, and emerging competitive sports. Examples of clients he has served include: Not Impossible Labs, Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, and the World Freerunning Parkour Federation. He also advises a broad range of startups and entrepreneurs in a variety of matters including, IP protection and monetization, business planning, and commercialization. He has successfully helped clients both offensively and defensively assert their intellectual property rights in both Federal and State court. Examples of Alex's work include: Defending artists and creators against allegations of copyright infringement Asserting design and utility patents against both national and international infringers Corporate formation and IP portfolio management and monetization for technology startup Prior to joining Tsircou Intellectual Property Law, Alex worked with a number of startups in the Silicon Beach area, advising on business development and legal strategies. Alex received both his undergraduate degree in political science and philosophy and his law degree from Pepperdine University. He is admitted to the California Bar. Alex joined Tsircou Intellectual Property Law in 2015. Outside of practicing law, Alex enjoys training jiu jitsu, surfing, and cooking for those brave enough to sample his creations. Konrad Trope

Konrad Trope is Of Counsel to Tsircou Intellectual Property Law. Konrad chairs the firm's litigation practice where he prosecutes and defends infringement claims involving patents, trademarks, and copyrights, as well as protecting trade secrets and prosecuting cybersecurity data breaches. Konrad also represents clients in a variety of new technologies, including Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Smart Phone Internet Application, and emerging technologies in medical treatments addressing obesity. For the past 30 years, Konrad has successfully litigated many cases involving design patents, mechanical patents, copyrights for interactive websites, and trademarks for the entertainment industry. He has appeared before Federal Courts across the country, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Trademark Trial and Appeals Board and U.S. Court of Federal Claims, where Konrad has consistently obtained successful verdicts and favorable settlements. Prior to joining Tsircou Intellectual Property Law, Konrad worked in the Washington, D.C. offices at both Finley, Kumble, Wagner, Heine, Unterberg, Manley & Casey and Foley & Lardner in their business, intellectual property and litigation departments. Konrad also served as a law clerk to the Honorable H. Robert Mayer of the United States Court of Federal Claims and to the Honorable Wilson Cowen, Senior Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Konrad received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Pomona College, and his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Active in the community, Konrad has authored more than a dozen articles and spoken on a variety of topics, including protection of patents, trademarks, and copyrights, as well Internet security, Internet privacy, government wiretapping, VoIP, and other related Internet/e-commerce issues. Konrad has also provided pro bono legal advice and counseling to the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Polo Pony Rescue.
