Adam Fitz-Henry

Adam is an operational high performer with over 10 years' experience in the georesources industry in Australia. Adam started his career in remote mineral wireline logging where his troubleshooting, precision and exemplary customer service skills were built and honed. In 2012 Adam moved into the CSG sector, working for WellDog. In his position with this company, he was required to continue to deliver performance and cost enhancements and improvements to customers, whilst helping to secure repeat contracts through exemplary KPIs and industry relevant metrics. Since transferring to an office based position, managing a team of skilled and technical staff through a period of hypergrowth, Adam has acquired significant managerial skills to innovatively solve the challenges faced by a company undergoing rapid large-scale expansion.

Arthur Hood

Job Titles:

Arthur qualified as a Civil Engineer in the UK and has a career spanning over 40 years. He initially worked on large scale civil engineering design and construction projects; 10 years in coal mining and 20+ years in metalliferous mining projects working across the world. Arthur brings a history of strong operational and organisational performance, company growth and corporate experience at all levels and in a variety of operating and governmental environments. From 2005 to early 2010, Arthur served as CEO and Managing Director of Lihir Gold Ltd during which time the company's share price doubled and market capitalisation grew from US$1.2 billion to over US$7 billion and the company was firmly established as an ASX Top 50 company. Prior to his time a Lihir Gold, Arthur served as Managing Director of Placer Dome Tanzania and Placer Nuigini, and as VP of Business & Sustainable Development for Placer Dome Asia Pacific. Prior to the merger with Qteq in October 2020, Arthur was Chairman of Prospect Group.

Brian Miller

In the 1980's Brian joined the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra with a Masters degree in Sport Psychology. Even today, Brian maintains close connections to the world of sports. This includes working with and learning from more than 120 Olympic medalists and various other great sports teams and individuals. After 4 years with AIS, Brian returned to the UK to pursue a career in the IT industry, including a lengthy career with AMT-Sybex. Brian helped grow the company from 4 to 350 staff, when in 2014 it was then acquired by a Times Top 100 company. Following the AMT-Sybex takeover, Brian wore golden handcuffs for 2 years, but was certainly not sitting on his hands. Thereafter, in early 2016, Brian took up the role of CEO at K2fly (an Australian ESG software firm). Using his vast experience gained during his meteoric career at AMT-Sybex, and from Board positions held with various other companies, Brian was able to provide significant business and financial insights to K2fly, helping steer the company to a successful IPO later the same year. Joining the Qteq Board in 2021, Brian is set to enhance the company's ESG vision and mission, and help grow Qteq's ESG services, through his deep knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) and Data as a Service (DaaS) platforms.

Damian Element - CFO

Damian has 25 years' experience in corporate finance, governance and commercial business management. He has held senior roles at Woolworths and AAPT, as well as Group CFO roles for a number of high-growth global ASX-listed, public and private companies in the services and technology sectors. Damian specialises in complex corporate actions such as corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, ASX listing, international business, commercial risk management and governance. Known for his commercial acumen, pragmatism and leadership, Damian is passionate about commercialising technology and building profitable businesses. He holds graduate and post-graduate qualifications from Macquarie University, and is a graduate of both CPA Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ewan Meldrum - CEO

Ewan started his career in the Oil & Gas industry in 1985 and has been in senior leadership roles for the last 15 years. He spent 10 years at Baker Hughes where he held both Operations and Sales Director roles and 20 years with The Expro Group, latterly as Area Manager for Australasia. Ewan is specialised in successfully leading multi-discipline teams to achieve exceptional outcomes. He is passionate about safety and is a proud member of the Senior Leaders Group and Board of SaferTogether, a not-for-profit organisation in Queensland, Australia. Ewan has been Qteq's Chief Executive Officer since January 2019.

Gareth Ashton

Gareth is an experienced lawyer in the georesources field. He has more than 15 years' experience working in senior legal roles in the UK and three other continents where he has developed excellent technical, legal and negotiating skills. While working in the UK, Gareth spent six years in private practice with a top-tier corporate firm, primarily focused on private equity deals as well as mergers and acquisitions in the oil and gas sector. He has since held executive positions with multi-national oil and gas corporations in North America, Europe and Asia, including as head of legal. Each of those roles involved global legal oversight and capitalised on his pragmatic business approach. Gareth is also a professionally certified business coach.

Jeremy Phillips

Jeremy has over 11 years' experience working in the local and international Oil and Gas industries. After completing his Bachelor of Applied Science degree, Jeremy started his career working in the Hydraulic Fracturing division for BJ Services/Baker Hughes. During this time he also worked across the cementing, nitrogen pumping and coiled tubing divisions, both domestically and internationally. In 2012, Jeremy joined WellDog, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business. Holding senior positions in the company, he helped expand the business and manage the challenges faced by SMEs during periods of extreme growth. From his previous role of Supply Chain Manger, Jeremy brings to Qteq a keen eye for business improvement, operational efficiency and managerial skills to confidently tackle the challenges faced by companies undergoing exponential growth.

Mark Donovan

  • Mining and Corporate Governance Specialist
Perth-based mining and corporate governance specialist Mark Donovan has been appointed to the Qteq Board as Non-Executive Director. Mark has 25 years' experience in the minerals industry and prior to then worked for more than 10 years as a lawyer and partner in a Perth legal firm where he specialised in criminal and commercial litigation. After moving into the minerals field, Mark has held senior legal and managerial roles with WMC Resources and BHP. Before his departure in 2017 Mark was the head of corporate affairs for BHP Iron Ore. Mark is currently the General Manager, External Affairs for Mineral Resources Ltd. Mark has a thorough understanding of the industry across legal, risk, governance, communications and government affairs. He has extensive experience in commercial and contractual negotiations and has led multi-disciplinary teams in a broad range of areas, from exploration to negotiating native title agreements and development agreements with state governments.

Michael Siefert

Michael joined the georesources sector in 2010, initially gaining extensive experience in field operations. He then progressed to the role of Engineering Supervisor where he was exposed to international operations and clients. Michael has played a major role in commercialising the company's new products and has led many of Qteq's high profile installations in both CSG and Water projects across Australia. Michael holds a BSc in Information Technology and an MSc in Engineering Management and is widely respected for his project delivery and in-depth knowledge of the company's products and how these can be deployed safely and efficiently to ensure positive outcomes for its clients.

Nathan Poy

Job Titles:
  • General Manager ( Disaster Mitigation & Alert )
Nathan has extensive experience in operational leadership, senior stakeholder management and executive roles in various government, military and mining industry positions. Prior to the merger with Qteq in 2020, Nathan was the Managing Director of Prospect Group. In this position he developed and grew the Group's environmental surface monitoring division Prospect Environmental.

Quentin Morgan - CTO

Quentin has 37 years' experience at both small and major international oilfield services companies. After several years in various field positions, he spent 13 years at Expro helping to establish new geomarkets for reservoir logging, monitoring and sampling services, and a further four years managing the company's R&D team. Quentin then spent 10 years at Weatherford, first as a region product line manager for intelligent completions and then for sandface completions, with his growing expertise and knowledge culminating in his appointment as a Technical Director. Quentin was appointed CTO of Qteq's forerunner in 2011. He holds a BSc in Nuclear Physics and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering.

Simon Ashton - Chairman
