Adriana joined The Resolution Center in November 2020 and completed mediation training in February 2021. With a B.S in criminal justice, Adriana began her transition into social services in 2016. She brings to The Resolution Center a background in community outreach, treatment planning, teaching, goal setting, advocacy and case management. Adriana also lived abroad in Spain and facilitated classes and small groups of students to develop their listening and conversational skills in English. Adriana's wide range of experiences has provided her with great case management skills.

Anya joined The Resolution Center in 2010. She comes to the Director of Youth Programs position after working in Higher Education for 5 years teaching / supervising students in community service and leadership initiatives and 10 years in the Youth Development field focusing on service learning, civic engagement, intercultural relations and violence prevention. In particular, she teaches youth to make healthy life choices for themselves, towards others and the environment. Anya is a trained mediator and violence prevention specialist. She holds a B.A. in Applied Sociology and an M.A. in Intercultural Relations with a specialization in conflict management. Anya's broad range of experience has given her a firsthand perspective and insight into youth conflict and youth driven solutions.

Bill Saa, our Manager of Mediation Services, is a trained and passionate mediator who joined The Resolution Center in May 2022. He has extensive experience in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, training, and is well known for his ability to facilitate group processes in support of sustainable peace. For at least two decades, he has mediated difficult conflicts, initiated reconciliation processes, and facilitated dialogues at the community, organizational and national levels. Along his path, he has inspired countless people to change their behavior, think in a new way, and to see things from another perspective. Bill was awarded the coveted ‘Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Citizenship Award' by the US Embassy in Liberia, for outstanding contribution to promoting social change and ideals of Dr. King.

Bob is a Massachusetts lawyer who represents clients at the intersection of law, media and technology. A news media veteran, he is the only person ever to hold the top editorial positions at the two leading national U.S. legal newspapers, the National Law Journal and Lawyers Weekly USA. He is also internationally known for his writing and blogging about the Internet and technology. Bob represents a range of businesses and individuals, concentrating in print and electronic media companies and the editorial, sales, marketing and technology professionals who work in them. He also counsels businesses and individuals in employment matters.
An established professional in alternative dispute resolution, Bob has been an arbitrator since 1994, focusing on labor and employment and securities disputes. A mediator in a range of civil disputes, Bob completed the training required by Massachusetts law to protect confidentiality. A 1980 graduate of Boston College Law School, Bob is a life member and trustee of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, which honored him in 1994 with its President's Award.

Bob began mediating with The Resolution Center in 2016. He has continued to round out his capabilities as a mediator, working with folks to resolve small claims cases, landlord/tenant disputes and with couples working through the difficulties of divorce. Bob takes great satisfaction in two aspects of mediation: helping people to resolve conflict in their own lives, and teaching adults and children to alleviate conflict as they come across it in the world around them. He joined the Board in 2019. As a board member, Bob has found it particularly rewarding to help guide The Center through what has been a very difficult economic, social and political environment.
Bob's experience in the non-profit sector includes volunteering as a suicide prevention specialist with The Samaritans, as a member of the Board of Overseers for The Jewish Journal of the Northshore and as Board Secretary for Sterny's Way.
Bob has spent most of his professional career working as a Relationship Manager in the Financial Services industry, a role in which he enjoys establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals across complex organizations.
Bob has 3 children and lives with his wife in Marblehead.
Cynthia has been associated with North Shore Community Mediation Center since 1999 and held the position of Executive Director from January, 2002 until her retirement in June, 2021. Cynthia came to this position with experience and training in mediation beginning in 1983 when she coordinated the Adolescent and Family Mediation Project for the Salem Mediation Program, the prior community mediation program serving the North Shore area of Massachusetts. With a background in higher education administration, specifically college admissions, Cynthia has a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Education.

Dacia has been a mediator with The Resolution Center since 2014 and has been on the Board of Directors since 2018. For Dacia, helping people effectively communicate with one and other to resolve conflict through mediation is extremely rewarding. Dacia especially enjoys her work training young people to be peer mediators so that they can help their classmates resolve problems at school and along the way, learn valuable communication skills.
Dacia was formerly with Ropes & Gray, LLP and the General Counsel's office at the National Institutes of Health. Her practice areas included Technology Transfer and Health Care Law. After retiring from law practice, Dacia has been an active volunteer in her community as a civic leader, elected official and youth sport coach. For many years, Dacia has been on the Steering Committee of the League of Women Voters of Hamilton-Wenham focusing primarily on civic engagement and voter education. In 2017, she was the Co-recipient of the Hamilton-Wenham Community House Volunteer of the Year Award for work related to the initiation and running of the community-wide LWVHW Annual Civics Bee.
Dacia holds a B.A. in Economics from Smith College and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She lives in Wenham with her husband. Her two adult daughters are pursuing careers in teaching and music. For fun, Dacia enjoys skiing, ice hockey and all racquet sports.

Hannah Bowen joined The Resolution Center in June 2021. Her nonprofit management experience includes serving in leadership roles at the Intentional Endowments Network, RESULTS, and Malaria No More. In her work across international development, global health, sustainable investing and good governance, Hannah has focused on bringing people together to solve problems and create opportunities. She brings to The Resolution Center a background in strategic planning, policy, advocacy, communications and partnership management. Hannah holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Yale and a Master's in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. In between, she was a project manager at a county agency in California's wine country and a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Ghana. As Executive Director, Hannah oversees the everyday operation of The Resolution Center including the administration and management of programs and training, supervises mediators and staff and oversees court operations. Outside of work, she also serves as a City Councilor at Large in Beverly.

Joanne has been a mediator with The Resolution Center since 2021 and has been on the Board since 2020. Joanne was formerly an instructor of writing and literature at North Shore Community College, Endicott College and Emerson College. As a writer herself, she has had her work published is many small literary presses and several anthologies. Prior to her career in writing, Joanne practiced law, an experience which, while enjoyable, convinced her that there was a better way to resolve disputes. The mediation center training has provided her with the opportunity to see conflict as an opportunity for growth. Joanne has been involved as a director/trustee of many organizations, including the Waring School where she served as Chair of the Board, Beverly Bootstraps, The Beverly Affordable Housing Coalition (now part of the North Shore CDC) and the Beverly Public Library.
Joanne holds a B.A. in Literature from Wellesley College, a J.D. from Cornell University, and a M.F.A. from Emerson College. She and her husband live in Rockport. Her two adult children are pursuing careers in film, one in New York and one in Los Angeles. Joanne enjoys swimming (cold water especially), skiing, yoga and hiking.

Laura has been a mediator with The Resolution Center since 2018 and joined the Board in 2022. As an instructional designer, she became interested in mediation after updating a basic mediation training program for a client, who then offered her the opportunity to participate in the training. Mediation was aligned with her passion for helping people and her background in communication. Since then, she has been mediating in small claims court and is expanding her skills to work with folks who are currently incarcerated as they prepare for re-entry into the community. In her professional life, Laura is a Leadership and Professional Development Consultant, focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She is also a certified Executive Coach who works with clients in both non-profit and for-profit sectors.
Laura has a BA in Communication from Northeastern University, a Master's in Business Communication from Emerson College, and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from William James College. She lives in Merrimac with her husband and four children (a son and triplet daughters). She spends her free time exercising, relaxing with her chihuahuas, Phoebe and Spice, and baking gluten-free treats.

Linda is a past Board Chair of The Resolution Center and has volunteered as a mediator with the Center for over a dozen years. Trained as an attorney, Linda has worked in health care law and consulting. Her community involvement includes serving as an elected School Committee Member in Beverly from 1991-1999, appointments to Beverly's Conservation Commission, Youth Collaboration Board, and Master Planning Steering Committee, and volunteering with Senior Partners for Justice as a Judicial Designee.
Linda enjoys mediating cases referred by the District and Juvenile Courts, and is a valued mentor to new mediators. She received her BSN from the University of Rochester and JD from Northeastern University. Linda and her husband have two children and live in Beverly. Linda enjoys traveling, gardening, golfing and walking with her Sheltie, Saskia.

Madalyn joined The Resolution Center in November of 2021 and completed mediation training in June of 2022. A Graduate from Gordon College, she studied International Development and Economics. Her passions and skills range from Non-profit fundraising to International Economic Development. Her recent experience was in Mukono, Uganda where she helped women achieve financial independence. When we asked Madalyn about her interest in mediation she replied: "If we want to see any social justice it has to start within our community... Mediation empowers them to live better lives." As Program Coordinator, Madalyn assists in scheduling, database management, development, and supports the Director of Youth Programs.

Tom has been a mediator with The Resolution Center since 2017. As a former school administrator he takes a special interest in working with and helping train young people to become better problem solvers. In addition to his work with youth, Tom mediates small claims cases and has been trained in resolving housing disputes as well as working with currently incarcerated people (and their families) as they prepare for the transition of being released. Tom has also served on the Board for the past three years.
Tom is a retired school administrator, having served 14 years as Superintendent of Schools in districts in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Prior to that he was an Elementary School Principal for 20 years (where he developed an interest in the field of conflict resolution). He began his career as a 4th grade classroom teacher. Currently he serves as an adjunct faculty member at Endicott College teaching courses in Law, Policy, and Ethics for prospective school administrators. He holds a B.A. from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an Ed.D. from the University of Hartford.
Tom and his wife have resided in Beverly for the past 11 years. Their adult son and his wife balance careers in finance and nursing with raising their two small children. In addition to the joys of grand-parenting, in his spare time Tom enjoys travel, golf, hiking, skiing, and taking courses at the Salem State Explorers Lifelong Learning Institute.
