Before Aduro, I was a Manager at VMS Fund Administration. I have over 10 years of experience in the Venture Capital and Private Equity space. Over that period, I have supported all types and sizes of funds from emerging managers to the most established firms in the industry.

Out of college, I worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers San Francisco in the investment management audit practice then went to Farallon Capital Management, a large hedge fund in San Francisco, for almost seven years. I moved into VC when I took a Controller position at Northgate Capital where I worked for a few years before I decided to move to Aduro.

Prior to Aduro, I was a Senior Manager at VMS Fund Administration. I have over 15 years' experience in the alternative investment space supporting funds with various investment approaches: venture capital, private equity, direct trade, real estate, fund of funds, crypto and hedge funds.

Jess is responsible for the Aduro client experience and ensuring high-touch, thoughtful service as Aduro grows. With over 15 years of industry experience, Jess balances a technical approach with practical solutions to ensure Aduro clients achieve great outcomes. Since becoming COO in 2017, Jess has led the expansion of the client service team to its current scale.
Joe joined Aduro as Partner in 2022 following the acquisition of VMS Fund Administration. During his nearly twenty years at VMS, Joe was instrumental in the firm's growth to over 60 employees and 170+ clients.

Experience:
I was a Senior Manager at VMS Fund Administration, where I was focused on working with a variety of venture capital and private equity funds. I started my career as a mutual fund accountant at Merrill Lynch. From there, I joined Accel Partners in Palo Alto, where I gained tremendous experience in accounting and internal operations for a VC finance office. I later became a Controller for New Venture Partners, providing analysis and decision support on investment deals.

Prior to joining Aduro, I spent over 12 years at a private equity fund administrator. In addition to my fund administration and accounting work, I have 10 years of partnership & foreign corporation tax experience.

Katie is responsible for the Aduro employee experience, including recruiting and people operations. Katie designs programs that help our team thrive and it's her mission to support Aduro as it grows. Katie has expanded the Aduro team sevenfold, scaling Aduro from 40 to 275 team members.

I joined Aduro in 2022 and oversee People Operations to help create the best possible employee experience for our team. Prior to joining Aduro, I was an HR consultant for nonprofit organizations where I provided a variety of support across the employee lifecycle to a portfolio of clients. Before my time as a consultant, I gained experience in both human resources and nonprofits across various industries.

I have over 15 years in fund accounting and financial reporting. I started my career on the East Coast as an accountant at TIAA and AIG. Prior to joining Aduro, I was a Vice President at BlackRock focusing on alternative fund accounting.

Experience:
Prior to joining Aduro, I was a Senior Manager at VMS Fund Administration. I started my career at Apex Fund Services focused on the administration of long/short equity hedge Funds. Earlier in my career, I was a Vice President at Fortress Investment Group responsible for financial reporting and fund accounting for various credit private equity and hedge funds, as well as, the Fortress Partners Funds. While at Fortress, I also worked on initial fund modeling and new fund launches.

Experience:
I joined Aduro in 2022 and work closely with the Executive team, Directors and Senior Controllers to ensure that Aduro maintains consistent, high-quality client service. Prior to joining Aduro, I was a Vice President of Fund Accounting and Administration where I oversaw Fund Accounting teams that serviced a portfolio of Real Estate Funds. Prior to this, I was a Senior Manager in Fund Services and started my career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Experience:
Prior to Aduro, I worked for a $1.5B endowment, so I understand the institutional LP side as well as the fund side. In my prior role, I had many tasks, including completing our fund due diligence for all new investments, quarterly reporting to the investment committee, and all capital calls and cash reconciliations.

Prior to joining Aduro, I started my professional career with an audit and tax firm that focused on private equity and hedge funds, and later worked for a large private equity fund administrator.
