Alicia Ball Steinberg is a Development Director for Shatterproof based in New York. She leads engagement with fundraisers, sponsors, community partners, participants and volunteers for the Rise Up Against Addiction Walk in New York City and Washington DC. She first came to Shatterproof in 2017, where she helped to launch the inaugural Rise Up Against Addiction Walks and, in her time with Shatterproof, has supported Create Your own Fundraising Events, Corporate Partnerships, Virtual Fundraisers and more.
Alicia began her career in fundraising as an undergraduate at Brandeis University. Since then, she has worked as a fundraising professional for a variety of causes and events, including as Development Coordinator at the One Love Foundation in Bronxville, NY and as Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the National Organization on Disability.
Alicia lives in New Jersey with her husband and two dogs.

Alyson Levine is the Vice President, Community Fundraising and Brand Experiences and is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of brand engagement experiences, physical and virtual, that broaden the grassroots footprint of Shatterproof nationwide and leverage peer to peer fundraising.
With more than 20 years of fundraising, development and campaign marketing experience, Alyson had been providing the strategic vision and leadership for all of JDRF's core fundraising programs and lead the teams responsible for all national events including Walk, Gala, Ride, Endurance and DIY. By honoring the unique characteristics of these events, Alyson leverages innovative digital strategies to improve overall donor experiences.
Aly comes to Shatterproof after serving in various roles at JDRF where she has worked since 2004, most recently as Associate Vice President, Fundraising Programs. During her career at JDRF, Aly grew the Ride to Cure Diabetes into an experience for thousands of riders from around the world to come together as one community raising more than $55 million to date. The Ride program was listed as a top 10 cycling program in our industry over the past few years. Most recently, Aly created and implemented the DIY/JDRF Your Way program and platform and lead the efforts to integrate fitness activity tracking into all peer-to-peer programs for innovative storytelling, corporate engagement and collective goal challenges.
Alyson knows the power that peer-to-peer events can have in building community, raising awareness and empowering supporters to activate their networks on behalf of your mission.

Amanda is a PhD student in the Health Management and Policy Department at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her research focuses on issues related to behavioral health policy domestically and abroad. Specifically, she combines political science and health services research methods to evaluate national and local policies related to insurance equity, opioid misuse, and behavioral health provider shortages. At Shatterproof, Amanda works on a variety of initiatives related to improving access to and quality of substance use disorder treatment nationally.
Previously, Amanda worked as the Policy Advisor at the Kennedy Forum and Thomas Scattergood Behavioral Health Foundation. In this position, she analyzed legislative and regulatory actions related to behavioral health insurance coverage. She mainly focused on behavioral health parity implementation, providing technical assistance to health plans and regulatory agencies and assisting in the development of accreditation standards and auditing protocols.
Prior to starting this position, Amanda was the senior researcher on A Common Struggle by Patrick Kennedy and Stephen Fried. In this role, she researched the development of U.S. mental health policy from 1960s to today and co-authored a roadmap to improve the U.S. behavioral health system featured in the appendix.
Amanda received both a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Society and Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania.

Amy Bridges serves as the Director of Digital Strategy for Online Giving. A digital marketing expert in nonprofit fundraising and email communications, Amy develops cross-channel digital communications that support and grow year-round online giving and contribute to the retention and growth of Shatterproof supporters.
Amy brings over a decade of experience in running digital marketing campaigns for large and small nonprofits. At The Nature Conservancy, she oversaw a highly profitable SEM program and planned and executed cross-channel digital campaigns. Her time at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum was spent developing multi-faceted email campaigns for fundraising and donor retention specifically focused on audience segmentation and journey-building. Her work at the International Fund for Animal Welfare saw her expand her strategic input to a worldwide audience to build a best-in-class digital fundraising program.
Amy loves all things digital, and there's never been a digital platform she hasn't mastered. She has a special knack for audience segmentation, email deliverability rehab, letting data inform decisions, and building relationships across teams.
Amy loves singing, creative writing, and making people laugh. Her motto is, "if you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong." A native of Louisiana and graduate of the University of Virginia, Amy currently lives in Washington DC with her cat, Otis.

Angad Buttar acts as Director of State Engagement for Shatterproof's ATLAS team. In this role, Angad manages stakeholder engagement within states participating in Shatterproof's ATLAS® quality measurement system for addiction treatment programs.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Angad spent over 15 years in healthcare, both in operations and consulting. Angad's operational roles have included managing teams conducting Revenue Cycle operations, Project Management and multiple Electronic Medical Record implementations for large healthcare systems. Angad has also served as a consultant and partnered with clients to introduce new solutions (online work drivers, enhanced analytics capability, and process improvement) to address business needs.
Angad is originally from Connecticut where he attended The University of Connecticut, majoring in Political Science. He also has a Master's degree from George Mason University in Healthcare Administration.

Asha Carroll (she/her) is Director of Social Media Engagement for Shatterproof's National Stigma Initiative. In this role, Asha is responsible for creating, growing, and managing the paid and organic social media strategy of the National Stigma Initiative's statewide stigma reduction campaigns.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Asha worked at the Vermont Democratic Party as Communications Director and Spokesperson, where she served as chief on-the-record spokesperson and led partywide messaging and communications strategy and implementation. Previously, she served as the organization's first ever Digital Organizing Director, developing and managing the Party's first statewide comprehensive digital plan and expanding digital communications to include storytelling and video content.
Asha's chief interest is using modern storytelling to drive social change. She grew her career matchmaking consumer brands with fast-growing influencers in the early days of Instagram, and has created partnerships, marketing initiatives, and content for brands including Bob's Red Mill, Justin's Nut Butters, and Almond Breeze and influencers including Food Network's Molly Yeh and New York Times bestseller Tieghan Gerard. She has worked four cycles as a political strategist and organizer and is the founder of Phasey, a CPG startup with a mission of destigmatizing hormonal and reproductive health, distributed at national and regional retailers including Urban Outfitters, Erewhon, and Foxtrot, and in publications including Harper's BAZAAR and WWD and on TV shows including Access Hollywood.
Asha holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and a MM from New England Conservatory, both in Opera Performance. She serves on the board of Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains and is active in several organizations in her community, focusing on education, reproductive health and economic empowerment. She is a retro clothing collector, a pop culture enthusiast, and splits her time between Minneapolis and Vermont with her husband Andy and dachshund Sprout.
Ashley is the Program Coordinator for ATLAS®, Shatterproof's quality measurement system for addiction treatment facilities. Ashley provides support for states that have already implemented the ATLAS® platform and those working towards the development and implementation of expansion of ATLAS into new states.
Ashley has both professional and personal experiences in the field of recovery. At 21 years old, Ashley began her journey as a person in recovery from substance use and has now been sober for 7 years. In 2016, Ashley designed and implemented a Collegiate Recovery Program at Colorado State University helping hundreds of students enter into a life of recovery. She also has professional experiences working one-on-one with people who have mental health and substance use concerns. Ashley is an advocate for young adults in recovery and people in the LGBTQ+ community.
Ashley is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado State University and her passion continues to be recovery advocacy, networking, and designing and implementing programs. She lives in Connecticut and enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and being in nature.

Catherine LaMendola is the Development Coordinator for Shatterproof. She manages the organization's donor data and works to improve stewardship and the cultivation process.
After beginning her nonprofit career in arts and culture, Catherine served as the Development Associate for Howard Area Community Center, a social services nonprofit empowering communities on the North Side of Chicago. Catherine is passionate about connecting activists with the resources they need, and helping donors understand the impact of their support. She is committed to Shatterproof's mission of meeting those who struggle with addiction with compassion, equitable access to care, and community connection.
Born and raised in Texas, Catherine pursued her studies in Montreal and Chicago and is currently based in San Juan, where she lives with her partner and their very large cat.

Prior to Shatterproof, Chad worked within the human service field for over 20 years within varying roles including direct care of intellectually disabled children and adults, school-based addictions prevention education coordination and correctional therapeutic community facilitation. Most recently Chad spent the last 10 years at the State of New Jersey Division of Mental Health Addiction Services where he had the privilege to work in several rolls including Substance Use Disorder fee-for-service initiative manager, data analysis for executive reporting for the Mental Health fee-for-service transition period and Mental Health fee-for-service contract administration.
Chad has a BA in Sociology from Kean University as well as a Master of Public Administration from Capella University. As a continuous learner Chad is always looking to learn new skills to be an effective administrative tool for the behavioral health field. Chad has a strong interest in data analytics, Six Sigma methodologies to solve industry problems, and program research and development. It is impossible to know everything, but you can research anything.

Chapin Leatherwood is the Social Media Influencer Program Coordinator for Shatterproof. He is responsible for executing influencer marketing strategies to increase awareness and engagement for the National Stigma Initiative's statewide stigma campaigns, in current and forthcoming states. After getting sober at age 22, Chapin brings lived experience to the National Stigma Initiative.
Before joining Shatterproof, Chapin sold real estate in the top markets of Southwest Florida, moved to Tennessee where he created one of Nashville's fastest-growing brands and served as an artist manager before working in the residential treatment industry. As a member of the recovery community himself, Chapin is passionate about transforming the way the world views substance use disorder, prompting him to create a community outreach program to help young adults find solidarity in recovery.
An avid concertgoer and dog-lover, the small town Norwich, Vermont native enjoys spending time with his dogs Ford and Chief and exploring the live music scene that his home of Nashville, TN has to offer. You can find Chapin in front of the TV every Saturday cheering on the Auburn Tigers.

Christine Mack acts as Program Coordinator for Shatterproof's ATLAS team. She is primarily focused on the ATLAS platform redesign as she assists in improving user navigation through project management of data validation, website analytics, quality assurance testing, and content updates. She also coordinates quality measurement tasks regarding claims-related planning and public commenting.
Prior to Shatterproof, Christine held various roles relating to healthcare and behavioral healthcare improvement. She has experience working in the public, private, and research sectors of healthcare. Her enthusiasm for professional growth and making a positive difference often led her to take on flexed roles. Her most memorable experience is holding a key role in building a grant-funded crisis intervention program through Health Homes of Upstate New York. Core efforts included enhancing corporate responsibility in improving access to quality care for the Medicaid population, addressing inequalities in behavioral healthcare related to social determinants of health and assessing gaps in care through Value-Based Payment education and incentives. Her drive for change pushed her to take on responsibilities in proposal writing, program coordination, data management, internal systems change, and partner relationships to successfully expand this program across New York State.
Christine is thrilled to join the Shatterpoof family given its essential efforts in stigma-reduction and improving accessibility to quality-driven information when navigating care. She is grateful not only execute her passion in health systems change but also work alongside individuals so fiercely dedicated to person-centered care and patient empowerment.

Dana has worked in various positions from local government to the New Jersey State Senate, most recently serving as Mayor of Camden where she successfully transitioned the city from state takeover to local control; led a full state intervention into the public school system to improve academic outcomes for urban youth; and most notably instituted fiscal controls to improve and stabilize the finances of the city that was recognized by Standard and Poor's Rating Services with an investment grade rating of BBB+ - a first in more than 15 years.

Dr. Lipi Roy is an internal medicine physician board certified in addiction medicine as well as an MSNBC and NBC News Medical Contributor. She also serves as clinical assistant professor at the NYU Langone Health. As the former Chief of Addiction Medicine for New York City jails including Rikers Island, Dr. Roy oversaw substance use treatment and recovery services at the nation's second-largest jail complex. Previously, she was a primary care doctor to Boston's vulnerable homeless population, among whom the leading cause of death was drug overdose. Dr. Roy's experience spans leadership roles from state-run to private addiction treatment centers. She also served as an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and as faculty at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Roy completed her medical and master's in public health degrees at Tulane University, followed by residency training in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Roy is a strong advocate for public service. In addition to caring for incarcerated and homeless men and women, she has served the underserved in Nicaragua and India, as well as New Orleans residents affected by Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Roy has also provided medical relief to earthquake victims in Haiti, and volunteered in the medical tent at the Boston Marathon. She currently volunteers with the New York City Medical Reserve Corps.
Dr. Roy is a sought-after, charismatic speaker and media personality whose mission is to educate and empower the public to make healthy decisions through addiction awareness, nutrition, and mindfulness. Emilia is the Program Coordinator for ATLAS®, Shatterproof's quality measurement system for addiction treatment facilities. Emilia provides support for states that have already implemented the ATLAS® platform and those working towards the development and implementation of expansion of ATLAS into new states.
Emilia works for those with a substance use disorder and their loved ones with a sense of compassion and empathy, derived from personal experience as the daughter of a parent with a dual diagnosis of serious mental illness and a substance use disorder. She is an advocate for policy changes surrounding the criminalization of those with a substance use disorder, and for an increase in support for harm reduction programming and outreach. Emilia previously developed Kyah's EPICourse - a free online food allergy and epinephrine training program for the Kyah Rayne Foundation (KRF). She also has experience working in harm reduction at the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF), at the Syringe Access Program, conducting HIV/Hepatitis C tests, and developing LGBTQ+ youth summer programming around substance use and suicide.
Emilia is committed to increasing access to scientifically proven methods of successful addiction treatment and ending the stigma which causes immense harm to those with addiction and their families.

Erika Mitchell is the Chief Financial Officer for Shatterproof. She leads the financial, contract administration, and risk management functions of the organization.
Erika has several years of experience in the finance, operations, and strategy fields. She most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at MedShare International where she led the national finance and accounting functions and provided strategic direction in support of international relations. Prior to MedShare, Erika served as the CFO at Communities In Schools of Atlanta where she led the finance, human resources, information technology and administrative functions including the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies.
Prior to joining the nonprofit sector, Erika spent several years at Deloitte in various leadership roles. During her tenure at Deloitte, Erika served in the M&A advisory services group where she provided due diligence, transaction structuring and advisory services to domestic and international corporate strategic buyers, sellers, and private equity investors. She also worked in the Talent Development group where she led business critical activities including designing and executing high profile strategic initiatives in talent development. Lastly, Erika spent time in the Audit practice where she served both public and private financial services clients.
Erika is very active in her community, devoting much of her time to helping underserved communities. She currently serves on the boards of Our House and the State Charter Schools Foundation of Georgia. She also serves as a site coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program which provides free income tax preparation to low-to-moderate income individuals.
Erika earned her BS in Accounting from Syracuse University and MBA with a concentration in Finance and Strategy from Emory University's Goizueta Business School. Erika is an active CPA licensed in New York and Georgia. She is based in the metro Atlanta area.

Gary Mendell is the founder and CEO of Shatterproof, a national nonprofit focused on reversing the course of the addiction crisis in America. After losing his son Brian to addiction in 2011, Gary founded Shatterproof to spare other families the tragedy his had suffered.
Since founding Shatterproof in 2012, Mr. Mendell has been a national leader in the addiction field creating solutions that will ensure that substance use disorder will be prevented and treated for generations to come, including providing the support needed to those in recovery and removing the shame and stigma so often associated with those afflicted with this disease.
He is a frequent speaker on how our society can end the stigma unjustly associated with addiction, has been honored numerous times for his leadership related to reversing the course of the opioid epidemic, testified in front of the President's Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis, testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance on Treating Substance Misuse in America, and has been a guest several times on CNBC and MSNBC to provide his perspective on commonsense solutions to the opioid epidemic, and his opinions are frequently reflected in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and The Washington Post. Mr. Mendell is a member of the National Leadership Steering Team for the Grand Challenge to Eliminate Stigma around Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder with the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, a member of the National Quality Forum's Technical Expert Panel for Opioid and Opioid Use Disorder and is an advisory member of The Opioid Policy Research Collaborative at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
Mr. Mendell spent decades as an entrepreneur. He founded HEI Hotels & Resorts, a multi-billion-dollar company that oversees a portfolio of approximately 85 first class hotels. He raised and managed $1.2 billion in discretionary capital from some of the most prestigious universities in the United States and managed more than $2 billion in assets. He is also a former trustee and president of Starwood Lodging Trust. That business-world experience gives him a unique perspective in running a nonprofit organization like Shatterproof.
Mr. Mendell received his B.S. from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration and his MBA with distinction from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
After losing Brian, Gary promised to do everything he could to spare other families the pain his had experienced. And today, Gary's promise has become a movement.
Loving and compassionate, through it all Brian wished others did not have to suffer from this devastating disease. During a visit home in the summer of 2011, as we sat on our back porch one evening, Brian spoke about the stigma and shame he felt.

Before joining Shatterproof, Gwen spent 5 years providing direct services to victims and survivors of trauma. In addition, she worked to educate her community on several public health issues, including sexual and domestic violence. Working through an intersectional lens, Gwen is committed to ending the stigma and increasing access to scientifically proven successful treatment.
Gwen lives in Pennsylvania with her two cats, Getty and Bug. In her free time, you can find her watching true crime documentaries and baking.

Holly Jespersen is Shatterproof's Senior Communications Manager. She is responsible for digital marketing and public relations support, alliance management and support to the Founder and CEO. She has been with Shatterproof since the launch in September 2013.
Prior to Shatterproof, she had a 16 year public relations career with PR agencies in DC, Chicago, NYC and Connecticut, working on a variety of clients across industries.
She has a B.A. from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Jespersen resides in Darien, CT where she is an active member of Noroton Presbyterian Church, Tri Delta Alumnae Fairfield County and other community organizations.

Juliana Burns (she/her) is the Program Coordinator on the Education team at Shatterproof. She helps to create content for Shatterproof's Workplace and Family Support Programs, as well as assist with outreach for education initiatives.
Juliana first got her start in the nonprofit world when she interned for LatinoU College Access, an organization dedicated to increasing college enrollment and success among first generation college students.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Juliana worked at The Threshold Foundation, a progressive membership organization devoted to creating social and environmental change.
Juliana graduated from Pace University with a B.A. in English and Communications and a minor in Psychology. With creative writing being one of her favorite pastimes, she regularly contributed to the university's original arts and literary magazine.

Kevin Roy is the Chief Public Policy Officer for Shatterproof. He leads its national advocacy initiatives as both federal and state leaders push for comprehensive solutions to the opioid epidemic.
Prior to Shatterproof, Kevin was Executive Vice President for Autism Speaks and was engaged in public policy on behalf of Autism Speaks since 2007. At Autism Speaks, his work resulted in significant federal and state improvements to address gaps in research and lifespan needs for the autism community. He led efforts to pass the Combating Autism Reauthorization Act of 2011 and the Autism CARES Act of 2014, which have more than doubled the amount of federal research dollars allocated to autism on an annual basis over the last ten years. He successfully partnered with numerous disability organizations to pass the Stephen Beck, Jr., Achieving a Better Life Experience Act of 2014 (ABLE Act). The enactment of the ABLE Act culminated an eight-year campaign to gain approval for tax-free savings accounts to help individuals and families finance disability needs and is considered by some to be the most significant disability legislation since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
In addition to his work for Autism Speaks, he has advised early-stage biotech and technology firms on their public affairs and market strategies through the consulting firm he founded, Chesapeake Bay Ventures. Prior to his time as a consultant, Kevin worked on Capitol Hill, serving as a senior advisor on federal budget policy. Kevin began his career as an auditor for Deloitte & Touche in Boston.

Kirsten Suto Seckler is the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for Shatterproof, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in America.
Seckler has spent her career using marketing and communications to drive social change and impact. At Shatterproof, she addresses the ever-growing substance use disorder epidemic impacting the nation. Her work is focused on bringing science-based interventions to the public and ending the stigma of addiction negatively impacting those with substance use disorder and their families. She is leading the organization through a brand alignment and will be launching the organization's first public-facing social impact marketing campaign for the organization in 2023. She helped launch new initiatives such as the Shatterproof Treatment Atlas, a platform to help individuals and their families find the right type of quality addiction treatment, and a national plan to end addiction stigma in the United States. She also leads mass-market fundraising initiatives for Shatterproof.
For over 20 years, she was with Special Olympics International, most recently as the global Chief Brand and Communications Officer, leading a team worldwide to creatively shape and challenge perceptions about people with intellectual disabilities through sports.
As a member of the global executive leadership team, and over her time with the movement, she was instrumental in the global growth of Special Olympics, which is now in nearly 200 countries around the world and reaches more than 6 million athletes, and has nearly 90 percent brand recognition and familiarity. Her accomplishments included setting the global strategic agenda for the organization and organizing and promoting 11 Special Olympics World Games, both Winter and Summer, in locations throughout the world, including China, Japan, Korea, Ireland, Greece, Austria, and the United Arab Emirates. She established a multiyear global broadcast partnership with ESPN, which grew to be the first-time athletes with intellectual disabilities received live sports coverage. She also took the Special Olympics from being a U.S.-Centric brand to a global brand.
Seckler has been an Adjunct Professor at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, teaching with the Integrated Marketing and Sports Industry Management Programs since 2013. Before joining Special Olympics, Seckler worked in the marketing department at Kraft, where she helped manage the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile brand icon and year-round marketing tour. She also spent five years working as a print journalist.
Seckler was an honoree of the Washington Women in Public Relations Woman of the Year Award and is an accomplished speaker and guest lecturer. She was recently named one of PRWeek's Health Influencer 30 Class of 2022. Seckler has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware and a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Management from Georgetown University.

Kristen Pendergrass serves as the Vice President, State Policy at Shatterproof. Previously, she worked at the Pew Charitable Trusts leading state relations and strategy for the Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Initiative and for the Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative helping state and local governments incorporate evidence-based policymaking into the budget and policy processes.
Before joining Pew in November 2015, Ms. Pendergrass worked as a policy advisor for the House Majority Caucus in the Oregon Legislature, chief of staff to the Oregon House Majority Whip, and as a legislative assistant in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Patrick Reedy is the Chief Development Officer for Shatterproof. He leads fundraising and development activities to enhance Shatterproof's financial resources, visibility and impact.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Patrick has served in leadership roles at several highly respected medical centers and national healthcare nonprofits. He has established a record of success across all development functions, with expertise in major gifts and board development.
Patrick has proven experience in helping organizations of various sizes to amplify the impact of their mission by analyzing data to develop strategy, implementing systems to drive efficiency and growth, and mobilizing both staff volunteer resources to support a relationship-based revenue model.
Patrick served as Region Lead (Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky) and Executive Director (Illinois) for the Alzheimer's Association from 2018 to 2020. He served as National Vice President, Leadership Giving for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) from 2015 to 2018. Prior to assuming this role, Patrick started with JDRF as the Executive Director of the Illinois chapter in 2008. In 2011, he was promoted to the role of Regional Director for the Upper Midwest region while retaining the role of Executive Director for the Illinois chapter.
Patrick has also held various fundraising positions over the course of his career at highly respected academic medical centers, including Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital and NorthShore University HealthSystem. Laura is the Outreach and Communications Coordinator for Shatterproof's ATLAS®. She provides support to the ATLAS team in sustainability of ATLAS within participating states, as well as development and implementation in expansion states.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Laura spent over thirteen years providing direct services to clients in the substance use field. Working first in outpatient treatment, Laura served as the treatment liaison for family courts in Snohomish County. Within this role, she worked closely with her clinical team to bridge the gap between treatment providers and the legal system. Following this role, Laura served as the coordinator for the Snohomish County Adult Treatment Court for eight years. She supported programs by ensuring expedited access to treatment, quality services and support from community stakeholders.

Lauren is joining us from Dallas, TX where she has served as a Corporate Development Director for the American Heart Association. She was a part of their Heart Challenge team where she helped champion community campaigns such as Heart Walk, CycleNation, & Field Days. Before joining the Heart Challenge team, Lauren served as a Youth Market Director at the AHA in Nashville, TN. Supporting over 24 school district and 50,000 families by promoting the importance of physical activity, social/emotional learning, and raising over $500,000 annually, in lifesaving funds. Lauren has also been part of several committees focused on national- media content creation, peer to peer fundraising strategies, & employee experience. Lauren's journey in nonprofit started in 2008 where she had the opportunity to share her own "why" as a spokesmodel for the AHA, after having open heart surgery at age 11. But there is more to her story...
Lauren is very passionate about the mission of Shatterproof as her mother along with several other family members have struggled with substance abuse. She feels so strongly about sharing her personal connection, reducing the negative stigma, and supporting the research and educational efforts that help make that possible.

Leah Kaufman is the Assistant Vice President of Public Policy for Shatterproof. Leah has over a decade of experience working with state governments and the private sector to implement partnerships aimed at improving the quality of care for consumers.
She joined Shatterproof in 2018 as Director of State Engagement, working with the state governments to oversee the implementation of ATLAS, the nation's first addiction treatment quality measurement platform.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Leah managed strategic partnerships at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), where she led the Partners in Quality program, working with states, along with public and private payers to design value-based payment programs and statewide technical assistance projects aimed at increasing adoption of the patient-centered medical home model of care.
Before joining Shatterproof, Leah also held positions at the non-profit Doctors Care, advocating for underserved and immigrant communities, and with The Colorado Academy of Family Physicians, where she led a statewide initiative aimed at increasing the adoption of the state immunization registry.
Leslie Litsky is the Head of Learning for Shatterproof. In this role, she is responsible for creating content for the new Workplace and Family Support Programs and assuring the symmetry of the Shatterproof message across these and future educational programs.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, she held a position as Director at IntegraMed Fertility, implementing standard system operations for new medical practices in North America. Prior to that, she spent decades at the Phoenix House Foundation, most recently as the Director - Program Support Services, where she oversaw the implementation of new systems including quality improvement tools, medical records, and a learning management system. She worked with state and accreditation bodies to write standards for program evaluation. She also created content to advance the quality of treatment services including online trainings on addiction assessment tools and system usage.
Leslie received her BA from Vassar College and a MHSA from the University of Michigan. She lives in Westchester, NY, with her husband and two teenage daughters.

Lynne oversees the national volunteer program of Shatterproof - including Ambassadors, Junior Council members, students, advocates, and others. Bridging the generosity of time and talent of our grassroots community, with the goals of Shatterproof, much is accomplished - from advocacy to raising awareness, shattering stigma, and fundraising.
She brings 30-plus years of professional executive experience in nonprofit development, strategy, communications, team building, and fundraising to this role. Lynne is one of fewer than 4,500 certified fundraising executives in the U.S. - a testament to her expertise in the areas of volunteer empowerment and philanthropic development.
A native of New Jersey, she is a graduate of Douglass College at Rutgers University where she earned in BA in Journalism and minored in Political Science. A New Jersey native, she now resides in Virginia's Shenandoah County. She and her husband have three adult children and enjoy grandchildren. Lynne spends her free time appreciating the mountains, serving on community boards and initiatives, and enjoys cooking and entertaining.
Marissa Williams (she/her) is a Program Coordinator for Shatterproof's National Stigma Initiative.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Marissa worked as a Project Manager at Prospero Health, an in-home palliative care provider. In her role, she worked alongside Prospero's clinical leadership and external stakeholders to implement Prospero's services in new states. In addition to being a Project Manager, Marissa co-spearheaded the formation of an interdisciplinary, employee-led, leadership advisory committee; the team was dedicated to creating a culture of acceptance and understanding through diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Marissa is devoted to being an advocate and ally for minority inclusivity, health and social equity, and women's and LGBTQ+ rights, both at work and during her personal time.
After graduating with a B.S. in Marketing from Winona State University, Marissa moved to Tennessee where she received a Master of Health Administration from the University of Memphis.
