About Me: I am a Nash County native. I have always liked chi ldren and working with them. I'm not sure if children gravitated to me or if I was drawn to them, but I have always had a close bond with the children around me. I'm sure that working with children is my calling. I served at the nursery in my church while in youth ministry, I'm the "go to" family babysitter, and I'm the person who hangs out with kids at various events. My journey in Early Childhood Education started at the daycare program at Nash Central High School. Since then, I've found myself seeking places to invest in children in my personal and professional life. I love creativity and hands-on learning in the classroom. Creativity sparks imaginations and it can help children understand things within their perspective. I believe the classroom is not about teachers pushing content to children but teachers engaging with children in a way that allows them to explore ideas and concepts. I like for children to show me how they view what we saw and learned. I love watching movies, going to live shows, spending time with family and friends especially my godson Kaiden! My Education: I graduated from Nash Central High School in 2015. I then attended Nash Community College to obtain my Early Childhood Education Credentials. I'm now enrolled in Arizona Global Campus where I am studying Early Childhood Education. My Family: My amazing mother is a 911 Telecommunicator in Rocky Mount. I have 3 younger siblings that I am very close to. I have a 1 year old godson that means the world to me. My Favorites: Sunflowers! & Any sweet snack! I'm a coffee and tea lover so Starbucks is my "go to" spot!
