Andy Willis is Chief External Affairs Officer (CEAO) for UNC Health Care and UNC School of Medicine. Mr. Willis previously served as the State Budget Officer for the State of North Carolina under Governor Beverly Perdue and as Chief Operating Officer for the Office of State Budget and Management under Governor Pat McCrory.
As Chief of Staff to Dr. Bill Roper, Mr. Willis is utilizing his years of government experience to assist Dr. Roper and other senior staff and executive team members in the design and implementation of collaborative projects with partners throughout the state. He serves on the Senior Executive Team for the School of Medicine and the Health Care System.
Mr. Willis has over 20 years of experience in government and higher education. He began his career in Pamlico County government, followed by time in the North Carolina General Assembly as a senior budget policy and fiscal analyst for the Fiscal Research Division. For four years, he was Assistant to the Chancellor for External Affairs at N.C. State, his alma mater, before being named by UNC President Erskine Bowles as the University of North Carolina General Administration's Vice President for Government Relations. Mr. Willis returned to state government in 2009 by being appointed as Senior Advisor to the Governor for Government Affairs. In 2011, Mr. Willis was appointed by Governor Perdue to serve as the Director of the Office of State Budget and Management. In this role, he served as the State Budget Officer, Secretary to the Council of State, and as a member of the Governor's Cabinet. He served as the Governor's primary fiscal advisor and as one of the three primary fiduciaries for the State of North Carolina. This included providing constitutional and statutory oversight and management of the State of North Carolina's $50 billion budget.
Mr. Willis holds a Master of Public Administration degree from UNC and a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina State University. He resides in Cary, North Carolina and is married to Jennifer Herrera Willis. They have two sons and one daughter.

Dr. Caesar oversees the DEI and health equity efforts at UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine (SOM).
Dr. Caesar comes to UNC Health from the City of Raleigh, where she created and led the city's first Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In this role she developed Raleigh's first racial equity action plan emphasizing workforce equity, police-community relations, business inclusion and community engagement, and served as an advisor to the Mayor and City Council on issues related to community health, social justice and equity.
Prior to her time with the City of Raleigh, Dr. Caesar held several positions where she has helped organizations better understand the social determinants of inequity. As Director of Community Outreach & Support for Union County's Department of Health and Human Services, she founded the Union Health Equity Collaborative, which trained over 150 providers and staff from Union County Public Health, Atrium Health Union, Novant Health and members of the community on topics related to social determinants using Union County-specific data.
Dr. Caesar is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Government teaching courses in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program.

Brianne Brown, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist and senior medical science liaison, serving North and South Carolina, and Virginia, for neuroscience medical affairs at Janssen Scientific Affairs. She has worked in pharmaceutical research more than 10 years which, included positions as an expert trainer, rater, and study responsible scientist; and previously worked clinically within the community focused on crisis intervention. Prior to joining Janssen in 2014, she held positions at MedAvante and Princeton House Behavioral Health. Brown's scientific interests include mental health conditions and evidence based treatments, clinical research to advance the field psychiatry, and innovations in the psychiatric healthcare landscape. An undergraduate University of Virginia, she received doctorate and master's degrees in clinical psychology from Florida Institute of Technology.

Dr. Thomas has more than 25 years of experience working with leaders in secondary and higher education, and is especially skilled at developing and implementing diversity, mentoring, and leadership initiatives. He earned his doctoral degree in Ecological-Community Psychology from Michigan State University and his Master's and Undergraduate degrees in Clinical/Community Psychology from Norfolk State University. Dr. Thomas has served as an executive diversity leader at the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine, the University of Kansas, and at the University of South Florida Polytechnic. He is recognized for his Thomas Principles, a mentoring model designed to increase college student progression and graduation rates. In 2018, Dr. Thomas with Dr. Arredondo received a $3.2 million grant to pipeline students from disadvantage communities to UMKC health science professional schools, and he helped the UMKC School of Medicine achieve national recognition by receiving the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award.

Dr. Harvey Lineberry serves as the Associate Dean for Human Resources in the School of Medicine. The UNC School of Medicine Human Resources Office is responsible for personnel functions for over 1,450 faculty and non-faculty employees, 2,700 permanent and temporary staff, and 1,000 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The office also is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to UNC School of Medicine departments, centers, and institutes in order to maximize the opportunities to recruit, develop, and retain highly qualified personnel and to otherwise enhance the UNC School of Medicine employee experience.
Prior to joining UNC-Chapel Hill, Dr. Lineberry served as the Assistant Dean for Personnel in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University for ten years. Prior to NC State, he was Assistant Director of Human Resources for Wake Forest University. In addition, Dr. Lineberry also served as an original member of an 18-state consortium of land-grant institutions comprising the "Change Agent States Project," the goal of which was to foster systemic change in regard to diversity and inclusion in the land-grant system. He is committed to the work of diversity and the processes necessary to understand our own sense of responsibility to the organizational change process around diversity and inclusion. To that end, he continues to serve as a facilitator in "Opening Doors," a three-day experiential workshop focused on personal work through which to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Dr. Lineberry also holds certification through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a Certified Public Manager (CPM).
