Major General Alfred K. Flowers is an author and senior strategic advisor for a San Antonio minority-owned business. He is the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Budget where he was responsible for $170 billion dollars of Air Force funds.
Following high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of seventeen. After completing basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB) in San Antonio, Texas, he was assigned as a supply warehouseman at Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota, followed by a year at Da Nang AB, Vietnam (as well as five other assignments prior to 1975). He received his A.A. degree from Thomas Edison University, B.S. Degree from Southern Illinois University, and Master's Degrees from Ball State and The National Defense University. In 1978 after thirteen years of enlisted service, he attended Officer Training School where he was a distinguished graduate and commissioned a Second Lieutenant. He served as a budget officer at several Air Force bases; Chief of Budget at Headquarters Air Combat Command; Director of Budget Programs at HQ USAF; and Chief Financial Officer, HQ Air Education, and Training Command at The United States Special Operations Command, J-8. He Commanded the Holms Center at Maxwell AFB, Alabama, and The Second Air Force at Keesler AFB, Mississippi. In 2009, he was appointed as The Deputy Assistant Secretary of budget in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force. On 1 January 2012, after forty-six years and five months of service, he retired from the United States Air Force, making him the longest-serving airman in Air Force history, the longest serving African American in defense history, and the longest serving continuous active duty member in the history of The United States Department of Defense.
His military recognitions include two Distinguished Service Medals, the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit with oak leaf cluster, and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (plus seventeen other decorations). He previously served on the board of directors for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, the Air Force Aid Society, and the Air Force Services Agency, and is currently serving on six boards as Vice Chairman and director. Major General (R) Flowers was inducted into the Air Education and Training Command "Order of The Sword" on April 6, 2012, making him the 224th Air Force inductee since 1967. He was also inducted into "The Order of The Long Leaf Pine" by the Governor of North Carolina in August 2016. Additionally, he was recognized by the Air Force Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award September 2018. He is married to Ida M. Flowers and they have one son, Colonel Alfred K. Flowers, Jr.

Andrew Santos is an Outreach Coordinator for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio and the Endeavors Veteran Wellness Center where he is responsible for the recruitment of clients through various outreach opportunities. He works closely with local community partners including veteran service organizations, multi-service organizations, the military population, the Veterans Administration, and many others to communicate that our services are available to those in need.
Graduating at the top of his class, Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership.
In his off time, Andrew enjoys riding his bike, walking his dog Raina, playing basketball, and spending time with his daughter and family.
Andy is the COO for ATKG, which is a tax, accounting, advisory, assurance and litigation support firm that provides services for a select client base of closely held businesses and large family groups. Andy has 27 years of finance and accounting experience. Prior to joining ATKG, he served as CFO of Health by Design, and SVP CFO of Firstmark Credit Union. Andy has a BBA in Accounting from Abilene Christian University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Antoinette D. Ivey is the Administrative Assistant for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio.
She helps provide first-rate and easily attainable mental health care to Veterans, active duty service members, and military family members by utilizing her highly motivated and organized extensive work experience. Whether taking initial calls, gathering personal information, referring potential clients to the appropriate clinician, assisting with scheduling appointments as needed, or supporting the office manager and clinical staff, Antoinette takes pride in her work and is always ready to help those in need.
As a Veteran, Antoinette is passionate about assisting Veterans, active duty service members, and their families. She enjoys being part of a diverse team serving the Veteran community via the Cohen Clinic.

Charlie Keller is a CVN Fellow at The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio.
After 12 years of leadership and quality assurance in the corporate world, she has transitioned into a full-time role within the mental health field. Her clinical experience includes individual counseling for adults, adolescents, and children. She also specializes in working with life transitions and depression, as well as with the LGBTQ+ population.
Charlie is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, as well as two Master's Degrees from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
In her spare time, Charlie is working on her Ph.D. in Depth Psychology and enjoys spending time with her partner, reading, relaxing outdoors, and traveling.

Chip Fulghum serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Endeavors. Prior to his employment at Endeavors, Mr. Fulghum experienced a successful career within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), where he oversaw all aspects of the Department's management programs, including financial, human capital, information technology, procurement, security, and asset management.
Beginning first as the Budget Director within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and later being confirmed by the Senate as the Department's CFO, Mr. Fulghum had stewardship of internal controls to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse across DHS, leading the formulation and execution of the Department's $90B budget.
As his career progressed with the DHS, Mr. Fulghum was named Deputy Under Secretary for Management, where he provided support and guidance to the department's acquisition oversight process and represented DHS in a number of management-related interagency committees. Toward the end of his career with DHS, Mr. Fulghum twice served as the Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Deputy Secretary, followed by his appointment as the Acting Under Secretary for Management, the Department's number three official. In 2019, Mr. Fulghum was recognized as a Presidential Rank Award honoree and a Distinguished Executive for his exemplary service as Deputy Under Secretary for Management at the DHS, and in 2021 he was recognized as a Veterans in Business honoree by the San Antonio Business Journal for his contributions to Veterans in the community and in the workplace.
Prior to joining the DHS, Mr. Fulghum served as a U.S. Air Force officer for 28 years, rising to the rank of Colonel. He is a graduate of the Air War College, the Air Command and Staff College, Professional Military Comptroller School, and Squadron Officer School. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.
Chris Crawford is a successful business professional, entrepreneurial executive and investor with over a decade of experience of partnering with growth company leadership teams. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at JET IT, LLC, a rapidly growing, founder-led company providing fractional business jet ownership and private air charter.
As a West Point graduate and decorated Veteran, Crawford's connection to Endeavors' mission is clear. Crawford's history of philanthropic service includes serving on the board of Crossroads Community Services, an organization with a mission to nourish the local community's low-income families and individuals by providing nutritious food and supportive education.
Now, as an Endeavors board member, he is excited to serve his fellow former service members.
Crawford received his B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He resides in the North Dallas area with his wife, Travene, and their two children. Crawford began his term on the Endeavors board effective in July, 2022.
For more than three decades Chris Talley led communication programs and delivered results from the front row, culminating in his role as a FORTUNE 100 chief communications officer.
Through the years he led teams at USAA and Lockheed Martin and dozens of others while at one of the world's most prestigious public relations agencies, FleishmanHillard. Most recently, Chris was chief communications officer for USAA. Today, he leads Talley Communication Strategies, volunteers in the community and devotes time speaking at colleges across the country, supporting students seeking careers in communications.
Chris earned a journalism degree from Baylor University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is a trustee for the Institute for Public Relations and a member of Page. He proudly serves on the Endeavors board and the Alamo Area Council - Boy Scouts of America board, along with the Baylor Journalism, PR & New Media advisory board. Previous board service includes KRLN-TV (PBS) and Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children. Chris and wife Laura have been married for more than 30 years and are proud parents of three adult children.

David (Dave) Alvarado serves as the Office Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio. He strives to build a positive client experience through management of the clinic's day to day administrative operations that supports the clinical, outreach, and case management staff. Process improvement through tracking of key performance indicators (KPI's), verifying authorizations, billing inquiries, and management of operational expenses and supply inventory are also under his preview.
Dave retired from the Air Force after of 26 years of service as a medic. During his service he had multiple deployments and oversaw the Hospital Inpatient Units including Intensive Care Unit, Labor & Delivery, and the Medical/Surgical Units. He has a diverse history of leadership and customer service along with a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Studies and a Master's degree in Homeland Security. He has been recognized for his volunteer work with the Institute for Human Services Soup Kitchen and Overseas Special Olympics. Joining the Cohen Clinic team gives him an opportunity to continue to serve those who serve or have served and their families.
Dave enjoys spending time with family, watching foreign films, exploring culinary adventures, football, and opportunities to learn and teach new things.
David (Dave) Eaton is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio. He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) who specializes in adult, individual, and couples therapy. His professional focus involves trauma, suicide prevention, peer to peer support, and stress management.
Dave is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel who started his Army career as an enlisted soldier in December 1987. Retiring on September 30, 2019, he served in several overseas combat deployments as an infantryman in the 82nd airborne division. Additionally, Dave completed assignments at the United States Military Academy, the Army Command and General Staff College, and in France with the French Rapid Reaction Corps.
Dave's hobbies outside of work include traveling, scuba diving, hunting, and fishing.

Davie White is a Regional Data Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics at Endeavors. In his role, Davie coordinates, develops, and creates reports that show the clinic's health by making key performance indicators (KPIs) readily readable.
Additionally, Davie is the administrator for the Electronic Health Record (EHR); he is responsible for upholding data integrity and maintaining up-to-date records by using data visualization software that shows if there are missing, overdue, or out-of-the norm items. Davie's background and experience in hardware repair allow him to contribute to the clinic as the De Facto onsite IT tech. He took it upon himself to learn Tableau Desktop, the record-keeping interface for Cohen Veteran Network and earned his Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification.
A U.S. Navy Veteran, Davie is a current Assistant Scoutmaster with a local Boy Scout Troop, where he mentors scouts in the area of personal fitness, archery, and orienteering. He is also a second degree Black Belt in the Korean martial art of Mu Sool Won, a Level 1 Certified Instructor with the United States Archery Association (USA Archery), and a Harley Davidson rider.

Dr. Karina L. Bocanegra is a Supervising Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio, and has worked in the behavioral health field since 2013.
A native El Pasoan, Karina holds a Bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at El Paso in Psychology. Additionally, she holds both a Master's degree and a Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas.
With clinical experience including individual counseling, as well as couple and family therapy, Karina helps the Cohen Clinic treat couples and families with relationship issues using evidence-based practices and treats individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Karina is fluent in both English and Spanish and has experience in Crisis Response Planning and was selected to be part of the Minority Fellowship Program of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists for two years in a row, where she presented her research on Hispanic soldiers and substance abuse.
Coming from a Veteran family in which her grandfather, father, and older sister all served on active duty, Karina is familiar with the many challenges service members and their families face.

Frankie Lara is a Clinician for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio, and has worked in the behavioral health field since 2011.
A native Texan, Frankie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Minor in Neuroscience from Texas A&M University. Frankie was selected as a Texas A&M University Undergraduate Research Scholar for 2 years in a row, winning 1 st Place in Taxonomy each year for his research and moved on to be first author of several publications. Additionally, he holds a Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University in San Antonio, Texas.
With clinical experience including individual counseling, adolescent, and couples and family therapy, Frankie helps the Cohen Clinic treat adults and adolescents with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), as well as a range of other disorders using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Frankie has extensive practice in treating individuals in the community who are at acute risk of crisis, who experience complex trauma, with Serious Mental Illness, and with high comorbidities, including the position of Clinical Practitioner at the Haven for Hope Homeless Shelter and the position of Program Director at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio for the HHSC Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Program. He was eager to bring these skills to Endeavors to help their most destitute clientele.
Coming from a Veteran family in which both grandfathers, uncles, and brother previously or currently serve on active duty, along with prior experience treating veteran's and their families, Frankie is familiar with the many challenges service members and their loved one's face.

During his 45 year career, Gary Skidmore has been an entrepreneur, public company senior executive and builder of companies in the business services, data, software and retail industries. He is a board member and advisor for many successful companies in diverse industries.
Most recently Gary has been Chairman and CEO of Aberdeen (Boston, London and Madrid). Aberdeen helps global technology marketers and sellers know which accounts to target and which content will engage them so a sale happens faster. Aberdeen was acquired by J2 (NASDAQ: JCOM) in 2020. (2015 - 2020)
Gary is an adjunct professor of Marketing, at Abilene Christian University and is a guest lecturer at the business schools at the University of Texas Austin and Lubbock Christian University.

She is fluent in both English and Spanish and provides online therapy via Telehealth to Veterans, active duty service members, and military families. Jeanette helps the Cohen Clinic lead efforts in providing a short-term treatment model utilizing evidence-based practices suited to meet the unique needs of the military population.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling for Mental Health from the University of Phoenix and has over ten years of leadership experience. Through holding a diverse range of management positions in social service nonprofit and for-profit agencies, she has garnered considerable experience serving victims of trauma, with much of her focus being on military/Veteran populations.
As the recipient of the 2018 "The Founder's Award" through Cohen Veterans Network (CVN), Jeanette has been recognized for her level of integrity, collaboration, and excellence as exemplified by the CVN founder, among other distinctions in the field.
In her spare time, Jeanette enjoys reading, hiking, and belly dancing. She is also a producer of self-help videos that she posts in an effort to benefit and inspire others.

As a Cohen Veterans Network (CVN) Social Work Fellow, Jennifer (Jen) Hoag Wydler provides therapy and resources to Veterans and military families at The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio. She is a Licensed Social Worker and has been a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for over 20 years, both within and outside of the military.
Jennifer (Jenny) Boyles is a Case Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio where she facilitates and provides community services for Veterans, active-duty service members, and military families.
She graduated with honors with her Master of Social Work from the Worden School of Social Work, Our Lady of the Lake University, and is licensed by the State of Texas. At the Cohen Clinic, Jenny provides case management services that include finding support for education, housing, continued mental health care, and employment. Moreover, she incorporates a strong mental health referral approach when services are deemed necessary.
Jenny is known for her empathy, intentionality, and professionalism. She is certified and provides trauma-focused telehealth therapy services to individuals through Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

John is a proven technologist, entrepreneur, business leader, and federal executive. He is currently the CEO of Luke, a provider of healthcare and professional services that focuses on delivering quality care to those who protect and serve our nation. Throughout his career, John has led efforts that support well-being and safety.
His passion for national security led him to public service when he twice answered the call to join the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), first under President Obama and then under President Trump. While at DHS, John served as the Chief Technology Officer for the Transportation Security Administration, where he was a key member of the team that established and implemented TSA PreCheck. He also served as Chief Operating Officer and Acting Commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), where he oversaw 60,000 employees, managed a budget of nearly $15 billion, and ensured the effective operations of CBP's mission to protect national security while promoting economic prosperity.
John has served on multiple Board of Directors for public and private companies. In addition to his corporate work, John has served as Trustee for a university and is the founder of the Blue Iris Fund, a partnership with Glasswing International, to help children and families affected by migration, poverty, and violence.

Jon Allman is the Chief Executive Officer of Endeavors, a national service organization of nearly 2,000 employees. Based in San Antonio, Texas, Endeavors provides community-based housing services, Veteran family mental health and wellness clinics, emergency disaster response, and humanitarian support for migrant families and unaccompanied children across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Endeavors has assisted vulnerable people in crisis since 1969, most recently serving over 80,000 clients in 2021.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Allman attended the University of Arkansas, where he completed the Air Force ROTC program and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, Allman earned an MA in Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri and served a successful 20-year career in the Air Force, where he flew combat missions while leading the only dedicated aeromedical evacuation squadron in Europe as Director of Operations. In October 2000, Allman piloted the MacKay Trophy award-winning mission to Aden Yemen, rescuing critically wounded survivors from the terrorist attack on the USS Cole.
Allman is a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars Associations and a recipient of the San Antonio Business Journal Veteran in Business Award. He serves on the board of directors of Endeavors and the Family Endeavors Foundation. He also serves on the executive board of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, and is Chairman of Urban Alliance, a San Antonio-based housing initiative for people with disabilities. Previously, he served as an elder at Oak Hills Church for ten years. He and his wife Tara have two grown children.

With more than 20 years of professional experience, Harle Solis is a veteran in the communications and marketing space - bringing expertise in public relations, brand amplification, corporate communications, and legislative consulting. After retiring from the military, she obtained a Master's degree in Counseling, leading her to an internship at the Vet Center, where she served Combat Veterans and Veterans who had experienced Military Sexual Trauma. Lucas Bagnara is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio. He has been working in the mental health field and serving the community of San Antonio since 2016.
Lucas holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of the Cumberlands in Psychology, as well as a Master's degree in Professional Counseling. With clinical experience including individual counseling for adolescents and adults, as well as couples counseling, Lucas specializes in using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat PTSD and adulthood attachment. Utilizing extensive knowledge of America's complex housing systems, Mark helps clients navigate the processes to find stability and rediscover dignity through his work with a variety of government and local philanthropic and community resources.
Mark has worked as a housing specialist for more than a decade. His career has been shaped by his own struggles with the instability of homelessness. He battled addiction for two decades - and homelessness for more than 10 years - before landing at Haven for Hope, a nonprofit for people in Bexar County, Texas, who are experiencing homelessness.
After graduating from the program in 2011, he became the very firstformerclient to work on the Haven for Hope campus - paving a trail for others who have successfully transitioned into support roles at the center.
After more than seven years at Haven for Hope, Mark joined Endeavors in 2018 to bring his expertise to focus more on supporting Veterans. He was inspired by the loss of his brother, a Navy veteran, who committed suicide. At Endeavors, Mark is enrolled in a Zero Suicide Training program to help clients and anyone else in need.
Mark's work at Endeavors - as both an employee and a member of the board - is inspired by his recognition that the stability of a home can be the first step to help vulnerable populations get back on their feet. He offers his clients a full range of support: locating and securing housing, assisting with documents and appointments, and - always - following up to build relationships. His goal is to one day establish and run a Permanent Supportive Housing apartment complex for veterans, using his story and experiences to help support others.

Melissa Baker is a Fellow and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors. She provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults, as well as group therapy to couples and families. Melissa graduated from The Catholic University of America, Washington DC in 2021. She has over 20 years' experience in providing case management and support services within the Military Healthcare system; her clinical experience including areas of assessment and diagnosis, trauma, adjustment disorders, depressive disorders, and anxiety disorders. Melissa is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Melissa is retired from the Air National Guard, having navigated moving every three to five years in support of her husband's military career while raising their two boys.

Natasha L. Walden is the Outreach Director for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio. Serving as a key member of the clinic staff, some of her primary responsibilities are dedicated to managing and executing the clinic's outreach strategy and developing the referral pipeline, recruiting post-9/11 Veterans, Active Duty Service Members with Tricare referrals, and military families in the community, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners, the VA, military bases, VSO partners, and resources for in/out referrals.
A Veteran of the United States Military, Natasha has over 20 years of service as an Intelligence Analyst. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and certifications in Equal Opportunity, leadership training, peer to peer facilitation, and Advanced Life Coaching. In addition to her role with the Cohen Clinic, Natasha sits on the Endeavors Diversity and Inclusion Committee as the Events Coordinator, where she helps to educate, train, and promote awareness of ethnicities and equality.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, working out, and doing community service.
Olufunke (Olu) Adetunji is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio, where she provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, as well as group therapy to couples and families. She is a licensed supervisor and recently took on the role of providing supervision to an intern.
Phylicia Felton is an Intake Coordinator for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, San Antonio where she manages all intake calls and initial appointments, administers paperwork and psychometric screeners, and schedules new clients with appropriate clinical staff.
Screening and scheduling an average of 120 clients each month for care at the clinic, Phylicia works to streamline the intake process, combining the collection of demographics, billing, screening, and scheduling clients during one phone call.
In addition to being a Veteran of the United States Army, Phylicia holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. Utilizing her degree to provide additional client care, she is currently obtaining hours to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Will Owen passed away shortly after this story was written in 2020. We are grateful for his many contributions to the Endeavors family, and we continue to honor his legacy through service and dignity.
Will has been an active Fairweather Lodge member since May of 1994. He is the President and Medication Monitor of Progressive Lodge and has also taken the lead in managing the lodge bank account and assisting his fellow lodge members with day to day living skills.
After a few months of entering the program, Will began working for Fairweather Professional Services, now known as Endeavors Unlimited in their janitorial and landscaping crew. He resigned several years ago. He volunteers with the San Antonio Club House in his spare time. Throughout his 24 years with the Fairweather Lodge Program, he has received numerous awards including Employee of the Month, Employee of the Year, Client of the Quarter, and Client of the Year.
