In response, I co-founded with graduate school peers the A-Frame collective through which we explored the intersection of social equity, digital entrepreneurship, and real estate. Together, we developed an institutional critique of the field, organized conferences on topics ranging from politics of maintenance and care to the blockchain, career fairs and workshops focused on social justice, exhibitions, and graduate seminars... It lead to many outcomes, including a two year residency at the Columbia GSAPP Incubator at NEW INC, New Museum↝, the world's first museum-led incubator for art, technology and design. More generally, it committed me to practice design at the intersection of contemporary political issues, namely climate change and social equity. I became curious about the distributive properties of both legal frameworks and digital technologies to create large-scale impact.
