Ambint comes from two words: ambient and intelligence. Ambint is a system innovation group spun off from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are specialized in Symbiotic Perception technologies that fuse human vision with machine vision, including real-time video analytics, augmented reality, and innovative design for human-machine teaming. The broader applications include drones, smart helmets, museums, archeology fields, smart homes, smart cities, and medical diagnoses. We won the NASA SBIR Phase I Award in 2007 for Interactive Visualization Toolkit for Satellite Data. In 2019, we won the First Place Award from the NIST PSCR Haptic Interface for Public Safety Challenge and the award of "The Most Commercially Promising Technology." The team was invited to exhibit the haptic helmet at CES 2020 in Las Vegas.
