Dr Ali Ajaz

Dr Ali Ajaz is a Consultant Psychiatrist and an academic with a specialist interest in medical education and research. He graduated from Guy's, King's & St Thomas School of Medicine and trained in East London in the field of forensic mental health. He worked in the NHS for 17 years, before starting his own clinical practice in Canary Wharf, London. Dr Ajaz has held Consultant roles in adult forensic mental health, neurodevelopmental disorders and older adults with neurodegenerative disease. Dr Ajaz uses a functional health approach to finding mental health solutions for his patients, with a particular focus on identifying and treating root causes. Dr Ajaz has enjoyed an academic career as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University London for over 10 years where he was responsible for delivery of the psychiatry curriculum teaching for medical students. His academic work has been consistently published in peer-reviewed journals during this period and continues to undertake both local and international research in medical education. Dr Ajaz holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Bedfordshire and he is currently undertaking a research doctorate degree (MD Res). He is co-chair of the Doctors for Patients UK group, which provides free CPD meetings for UK doctors focusing on patient-centred and ethical medicine.

Dr Andrew Aswani

Dr. Aswani is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine & Anaesthesia at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London. He is also Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at London Bridge Hospital (HCA). Dr Aswani has been dedicated to a top tier career in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia since 2001. Dr Aswani is the Clinical Lead for Vascular Access at Guy's and St Thomas'. He has a PhD in Translational Therapeutics with a special interest in the innate immune response to illness. He is Chief Medical Officer of Santersus Ltd.

Dr Balu Pitchiah

Dr Balu is a medical Doctor and a Consultant Psychiatrist in Central London working both in the National Health Service, United Kingdom and Private Practice. Voted as the "Doctor of the year 2018", by the readers of Asian Voice in the United Kingdom, he is well known for his holistic mental, emotional and behavioural health work focused on reducing the impact in common mental health problems on the functioning of individuals and groups.

Dr Daniela Tonucci

Dr Tonucci is a Consultant in Chronic Pain and Anaesthesia. Her NHS practice is at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, where she provides a comprehensive interventional pain service for chronic pain patients. She has published extensive pain research in the UK and internationally. Dr Tonucci graduated from Bristol University in 1995 before embarking on a career in anaesthesia and pain medicine and gained valuable experience in general medicine and paediatrics, including a year in Sydney Australia specialising in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. In 2001, she began specialist training in anaesthesia at the Bristol School of ​Anaesthesia. She undertook structured pain training at the Royal United Hospital, Bath and continued advanced pain training with a senior fellowship at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London. Dr Tonucci gained a Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Dr Tonucci has an interest in neuromodulation which includes Radiofrequency Denervation of lumbar facets and sacroiliac joints. She also has an interest in cancer pain and neuropathic pain. Dr Tonucci is interested in teaching and regularly lecture both regionally and nationally on chronic pain management, including at the University of Surrey and at The Royal College of General Practitioners. I have been involved with our primary care trust developing guidelines for the treatment of neuropathic pain, working closely with local GPs. She also regularly runs teaching sessions for anaesthetists, physiotherapists, and other health professionals. She is also an anaesthetist and has regular anaesthesia sessions to maintain her skill set.
