Tim Bryant qualified in 1979 and worked in London's West End as a commercial surveyor, before setting up a general practice surveying firm, which developed into a chain of five offices throughout the Home Counties.
During the 1990s, he focused on project management and, amongst other projects, delivered the first off-airport bonded cargo warehouse at Heathrow for KLM. This involved the negotiation of the purchase of the land from Esso, overseeing the construction of a 25,000sq m building, the fit-out and the investment sale.
At the same time, he was managing the development of several mixed office/retail/residential buildings in Clerkenwell, on the edge of the City of London, and he entered into a number of joint venture companies with his clients.
Another notable project during this period was the purchase of the former Oxfam offices in Summertown, Oxford, following Oxfam's relocation to the Oxford Business Park. As a principal of Summertown Properties, he oversaw the acquisition, refurbishment and extension of the properties, culminating in the letting and sale of the properties.
Now, as a director of Abingworth Developments, Tim continues to pursue both residential and commercial projects in the West and East Sussex areas.
