Alexis Lieberman

Dr. Lieberman has been a pediatrician since 1996, caring for babies, children and teens. She opened Advocare Fairmount Pediatrics as an independent practice late in 2009, and joined Advocare in 2020. A former Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, she brings an educator's high standards, attention to detail, and in-depth inquiry to her practice. She loves the communication aspect of pediatrics, spending time with families and connecting with children. Since 2009, Dr. Lieberman has focused on bringing the best of pediatrics and the best of customer service to her practice. Caring relationships, a focus on managing most problems within the medical home, and running on-time are her priorities. In her former position, she taught dermatology to pediatricians in training, developed and published protocols for managing pediatric obesity, and researched and published on mental health issues in pediatrics. She has expertise in many behavioral aspects of pediatrics, including treating ADHD and sleep problems, as well as obesity. Dr. Lieberman is also the former Director of Adolescent Programs at Albert Einstein Medical Center, and has expertise in the many issues faced by today's teens, including menstrual issues, adolescent ADHD, adolescent depression, and substance use. She welcomes teens to the practice! Dr. Lieberman has a teen at home herself, and understands the challenges faced by parents. She is thrilled to be in her own practice at Advocare Fairmount Pediatrics, and looks forward to getting to know your family.

Amanda Zorrilla

Ameet Ravital

Ameet has been practicing homeopathy for four years. He has also practiced as a clinical psychologist since 1999 (earning his doctorate from Temple University), with strong interests in positive parenting, mindfulness meditation and the stress-illness connection. He lives in Mt. Airy with his wife and two very active kids.

Carol Kaminski

Carol offers speech and language evaluations and treatment to address needs in the areas of articulation, expressive and receptive language, pragmatic language (social skills), and fluency. She is also available to support parents through the process of a speech IEP/IFSP. In addition, Carol offers a quick screening to determine if speech services are warranted. This brief, 45 minute quick screen will include a brief assessment of your child's speech sound production, language comprehension and expressive communication skills. This can help to determine if a detailed speech and language evaluation is necessary. You may want to consider a speech/language screening if you have concerns regarding your child's communication abilities or he/she is not meeting the age expected milestones. The fee is $50.00 and scheduling is often within 1-2 weeks. Carol has worked in schools throughout the region for over 30 years. She has taught in the LaSalle University school of Speech-Language-Hearing Science for the past 10 years. Carol resides in the Fairmount neighborhood with her husband and 11 year old daughter.

Dr. Beth Rosenwasser

Dr. Rosenwasser works as a member of the team at Dr. Lieberman's Advocare Fairmount Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She is available to consult for just one or several sessions on a number of concerns that parents have about a child's development, mood, or a specific behavioral challenge. Patients describe "Dr. Beth" as easy to talk to, warm and non-judgmental. With more than 25 years experience, she offers children, teens, and parents, concrete, workable solutions to difficult situations. Often referred to as a "family problem-solver," together, you and she will break down challenges, prioritize and clarify goals, practice skills, and create a measurable follow-up plan. Patients appreciate her ability to ‘keep it real,' developing practical solutions in 1-6 sessions, or in longer-term therapy. Dr. Beth Rosenwasser is available onsite at Fairmount Pediatrics Mondays and Tuesdays, both day and evening or more flexibly via HIPAA-compliant Zoom. Dr. Brian Gattuso

Job Titles:
  • School Psychologist
Dr. Gattuso earned graduate degrees from Columbia University, Teacher's College, and Temple University. He has worked with children, adults and families for 20+ years. Over the recent years, Dr. Gattuso works as a School Psychologist for the School District of Philadelphia and runs his private practice with associates to service charter schools, nonprofit agencies and local families. He has been featured on 48 Hours and in the New York Times, had work presented at the Annual Meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association and the New York Academy of Science, completed his dissertation on the effects of inclusion on general education students, and, most recently, been published in the Journal of Behavioral Neuroscience. He is on the board of a local daycare center. Dr. Gattuso lives with his wife, previously a special education teacher and now a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, and his two young daughters, in the Fairmount/Art Museum section of Philadelphia.

Jackie Williams

Jackie comes to Fairmount Pediatrics with a wealth of experience, including work as a front desk manager for a large Orthopedics office. Her forte is efficiency, and her approach is flexible. Whether it's getting a referral to a specialist at the last minute or arranging for the delivery of a nebulizer, Jackie is someone you can count on. "Hi, my name is Jackie and I love outdoor activities with my children such as football, playing in the leaves with my small children, and ski trips with my adult children. I have a friendly, outgoing personality. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!"

Katrina Hamblin

Katrina graduated from ASA College in Brooklyn, New York, and has been a Medical Assistant since 2015. She has a great deal of compassion for children and even has three beautiful children of her own. In Katrina's spare time she enjoys watching movies, cooking, traveling and music.

Kindra Scott

Dr. Scott is a native of Maryland who graduated from Temple University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Dr. Scott has gained specialized pediatric training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Kennedy Krieger Institute (Baltimore). She has a strong interest in the development of infants.When she's not at work, Dr. Scott enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children.

Kristen Smith

Job Titles:
  • International Breastfeeding Certified Lactation Consultant
Kristen obtained a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at Drexel University. She began her career working in Abington Hospital's Emergency Department for three years and then transitioned fully to outpatient pediatrics in an underserved area of Philadelphia for another three years, before joining Advocare Fairmount Pediatrics in 2019. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and has attended conferences on the local and national levels. Kristen is also an International Breastfeeding Certified Lactation Consultant and offers individual and group breastfeeding sessions in the office to support the parent-baby dyad. Kristen was born and raised in Philadelphia and is the proud parent of a young daughter and one dog. She is pleased to return to the Fairmount area and looks forward to caring for your family. ( Please note: Kristen is not truly a part of our Affiliate Program because she is also our full-time Physician Assistant, who happens to also be a Lactation Consultant. )

Liv Lee

Liv (pronounced "Leave") believes you can be healthy at any size, and encourages parents to eat and feed with joy, as she has learned from childhood eating expert, Ellyn Satter! Liv earned her masters in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Teachers College at Columbia University. At TC she also completed the dietetic internship at various clinical and community sites across New York and New Jersey. As a mom of two, she has personal experience navigating the concerns, questions and, sometimes, added stress that comes with childhood feeding and nutrition. After all, childhood feeding is not just about the child learning how to eat, but also involves the parent learning how, and what, to feed their child. It is a relationship built on trust and a journey that spans from infancy to the teens and beyond. In a one-on-one meeting, Liv will address your concerns and work with you to customize a plan that fits your family's lifestyle. Whether it is starting solids, picky eating, over/under weight, GI distress or feeding your child athlete, Liv is eager to be a resource and to help cultivate a nourishing and fun feeding environment in your family. Liv also loves teens, and is thrilled to meet with them individually as a warm and supportive coach in finding their own way through their nutrition concerns. Meetings can be in person or via telehealth. They can be booked using the online schedule tool. Some insurance plans will cover all or part of nutrition services. We will submit to your insurance if you let us know it should be covered - please find out before your appointment by contacting your insurance company. Liv is now credentialed with most insurances, and can be seen for a copay, according to your insurance benefits. Rates for self-pay nutrition services are $80 for an initial visit (one hour) and $40 for follow ups (30 minutes each) OR bundled to $140 for an initial visit (one hour) plus two follow ups (30 minutes each).

Shameka Richardson

Shameka has been doing medical assisting in pediatrics since graduating from ROSS Medical Technical School in 2011. Shameka has 5 wonderful children herself. She loves working with the children who make her day when she comes to work.

Susan Ramirez-Chung

"Dr. Susan" has been a certified pediatrician since 2019. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She takes care of children of all ages, from birth until college. After completing her Pediatric Residency at Jefferson University Hospital/Nemours AI DuPont Hospital for Children, she began her career in private practice in the Philadelphia suburbs. She joined Advocare Fairmount Pediatrics in 2021. She moved to Philadelphia for school in 2001 and never looked back! When she is not working, she is chasing around her two energetic daughters. Ula Katsoulis

Ula Katsoulis LMT CST is a licensed massage therapist specializing in CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. She studied massage therapy at the Swedish Institute in New York City, where she studied massage therapy, anatomy, apthology and neurology. She received her new York State licensure in massage Therapy in 2002.
