I first saw the pilot of Mad Men "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," my senior of high school (2012 if you're curious). I immediately knew I wanted to be in the creative field. I thought it'd be as a copywriter at an ad agency, so I pursued creative advertising at Michigan State University thinking that'd get me in the door. It certainly did, but I quickly saw through the veil of advertising. The glitz, glamour, and unbridled creativity wasn't there, and what I routinely witnessed were clients being overcharged for services that were then just outsourced to underpaid labor...
