Jacqueline Fortier

Garnett Harrison is an honor graduate of the Mississippi College at Jackson School of Law. She was admitted to practice in Georgia in 1978.She has served professional organizations in Camden County, Georgia as well as in Jacksonville, Florida, including Program Attorney for Camden County CASA Program, St. Marys, GA, Camden County Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Board of Camden House, St. Marys, GA, Georgia State Bar Association, Advisory Board Member of JASMYN (Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network), Jacksonville, FL, Federal and State Court, and National Lawyers Guild.Ms. Harrison has served as the Camden County Guardian Ad Litem in Juvenile Court from September 1996 through August 2012. She has represented children in foster care and worked to find them permanent homes.Ms. Harrison is also a member of several legal advocacy organizations including the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children (GACC), the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR), The National Lawyers Guild and the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR). She received her BA from American University in Washington, D.C. in 2006. She received a Juris Doctor degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Central Islip, New York in 2009. She is admitted to practice law in Florida, Georgia, the District of Columbia, and the Southern District of Georgia Federal Courts. She also serves as Associate Magistrate Judge in Camden County.Ms. Fortier considers Camden County her home. Ms. Fortier is aware of the needs of the diverse families of Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida. She comes from a military family. She knows personally the challenges these families face.She is a member of the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children and has served on the Board of Directors for Camden House, a domestic violence shelter, and the Camden County Chamber of Commerce board.
