Dave Scullin

Dave Scullin is former President and CEO of Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT). Before joining Communities Foundation of Texas, Scullin had a 40-year career with two major global firms, Deloitte and Arthur Andersen, where he served as a strategic advisor to Fortune 500 clients, with an extensive network in the North Texas community and beyond. Scullin was recognized as a top partner, holding multiple leadership roles over his career, including managing partner, lead client service partner for major global clients, industry leader, and creator of Deloitte's nationally recognized North Texas CFO Forum. In addition to the Board of Kaleidoscope Park, Scullin serves on the Board of Directors of Austin Industries, where he chairs the audit committee. He has also served on boards for numerous civic and other nonprofit entities. He was featured as part of D Magazine's Dallas 500:The Most Powerful Business Leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He was also highlighted in Dallas Modern Luxury's 2018 "Lending Hands" feature of "Top nine locals with shape-shifting ideas that make North Texas a place of Thanksgiving." Scullin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Accounting from Marquette University. He lives in the Dallas area with Susan, his wife of more than 40 years. His two adult children, their spouses, and his four grandchildren also reside in Texas.

Dr. Scott Stewart

As Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Park Foundation, Dr. Scott Stewart translates into actions his passions for the role played by public spaces in the development of communities, elevation of the arts, and enhancement of economies. He sees public spaces as the stage on which lives can change, people can be inspired, and communities are enhanced. Scott believes Kaleidoscope Park will become all these-and so much more-for all North Texans and visitors to the region. Scott has held previous positions with Millennium Park, Lurie Garden, Park District of Oak Park, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. He travels broadly speaking to nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, architects, urban planners, parks & recreation professionals, and creatives about the cultural, tourism, and economic opportunities presented by well-designed and well-operated public spaces. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida and bachelor's degrees in biology, chemistry, and English from Illinois College.

Elizabeth W. Bull - Treasurer

Elizabeth W. Bull is a finance executive with more than 26 years of experience in the for-profit sector. She served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Communities Foundation of Texas from 2008 until 2022. Previously, she served as Vice President and Treasurer of Texas Instruments, where she began her career as a Financial Analyst and held a variety of positions in Houston, Dallas and Midland, Texas, as well as Taipei, Taiwan. In 1994, she was named Finance Director of Texas Instruments Asia, in Taipei, and three years later, returned to Dallas to become Vice President and Finance Director of TI's Worldwide Application Specific Products Group. In 2002, Ms. Bull was named Vice President and Treasurer of TI. As a volunteer, Ms. Bull serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas, where she is the Audit Committee Chair. She is also a member of the Finance Committee for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. In addition, she is a founding member of the Women of TI Fund, an initiative of TI women to strengthen Math and Science education for girls in elementary school through high school. Ms. Bull holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from DePauw University in Indiana and a Master's degree in Finance and Marketing from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois.

Honorable Florence Shapiro - Chairman

The Honorable Florence Shapiro is a state and local leader in North Texas. She began her career as a public school teacher for Richardson Independent School District, and later founded Shapiro & Company, an advertising, public relations and special events agency. Shapiro was elected to the Plano City Council in 1979, and served six terms before running for Mayor in 1990. She was elected as Plano's first female Mayor, and served the city from 1990 to 1992. After serving her city, Shapiro went on to serve her state, elected as Texas State Senator in 1993 and serving for two decades, until 2013. For the last ten years of her Senate term, she was Chair of the Senate Education Committee. After retiring from the Senate, Shapiro worked as a volunteer with several education organizations, including Educate Texas. Today, she is a Partner at Shapiro Linn Strategic Consulting Firm, where she works as an education consultant. Shapiro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from The University of Texas at Austin. She lives in Plano with her husband, Howard, and has three children and 12 grandchildren.

Kim Butler

Kim Butler is Executive Vice President of HALL Group, and leads the leasing efforts for HALL Park, HALL Group's 2.2 million-square-foot, 15-building office park in Frisco. She is also a member of HALL Group's development team. Butler has more than 35 years of commercial real estate experience in Dallas - 25 of which were at Transwestern, where she was consistently a top producer and held several executive roles for the company. Actively involved in the Dallas commercial real estate community, Butler has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Commercial Real Estate Women's (CREW) Outstanding Achievement Award, Transwestern's inaugural Founder's Award and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors' (NTCAR) prestigious Stemmons Service Award, the industry group's highest honor. Butler currently serves as the Chair of The Real Estate Council (TREC), the largest and most influential organization of its kind, representing 95 percent of the commercial real estate business in North Texas. She is also an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), NTCAR, CREW, the Dallas Arts District and Downtown Dallas, Inc., and has previously held board positions with each. Butler serves on the advisory council of the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University, and previously served on the Associate Board of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Butler's charitable activities revolve around First United Methodist Church - Dallas. Butler holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.

Kymberley Scalia

Kymberley Scalia is the Vice President of Marketing for HALL Group. Prior to joining HALL Group, Ms. Scalia held the position of Director of Corporate Marketing for over three years at Trademark Property Co. Prior to that, she was Vice President, Corporate Marketing for Coyote Management for 12 years. Ms. Scalia has over two decades of commercial real estate marketing experience. She started her marketing career in 1995 as Marketing Director for a shopping center in Michigan, working for Insignia/ESG. In addition, she held the position of Marketing Director/Specialty Leasing Manager for the WestEnd Market Place in Downtown Dallas. Ms. Scalia has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Western Michigan University and an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising. Ms. Scalia currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Arts District, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, and the Frisco Community Park Board. Prior to that, Scalia was the 2012 International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) MAXI Chairperson and was a judge for the prestigious MAXI awards program for over fourteen years. She sat on the ICSC U.S. MAXI and CMD Committees. Ms. Scalia has also won numerous marketing real estate awards and ADDY Awards during her 21 years of shopping center marketing experience.

Laura Madden

Laura Madden serves as Director of Development and Relationships for Kaleidoscope Park. She has more than 20 years of experience in successful fundraising for the arts, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), and higher education. She launched her career at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, during a pivotal capital campaign to build the Audrey Jones Beck Building. This formative experience established her passion for fundraising and set a precedent for success. She has since led fundraising initiatives in four cities across Texas, for both large and small organizations. Recently, Laura led fundraising and engagement activities for the Simmons School of Education and Human Development at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Prior to that, she managed corporate giving for the Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. Laura also had the unique opportunity to establish the development and membership programs at Sci-Tech Discovery Center, a start-up non-profit supporting STEM education in Frisco, Texas. Laura earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She is also a graduate of Leadership Frisco and Leadership Women Texas. Her proudest achievement and greatest blessing is being the mom to two fantastic people and several spoiled "fur babies."

Leah Pate

Leah Pate is the Coordinator of Communications & Fundraising for Kaleidoscope Park Foundation. She is enthusiastic about the marketing and public relations field, and specializes in donor collateral and social media strategy. Before taking on her current role, Leah served as Client Manager for Kaleidoscope Park. She has also worked in marketing positions with the Frisco Roughriders and the nonprofit organization Tomorrow's Leaders Today (TLT). Recently a senior at the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton, Leah graduated in May of 2023. Prior to joining the Kaleidoscope Park team, she was an intern at AGENZ PR, a student-led public relations organization at UNT.

Wes Pierson

Wes Pierson is City Manager for the City of Frisco. Before serving in this role, he was City Manager for the Town of Addison from 2015 to 2022. He previously served as Assistant City Manager for the City of Corpus Christi, and Assistant City Manager for the City of Allen. Pierson holds a Master of Public Administration degree from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies degree from Brigham Young University. He also holds a Certificate in Public Finance from Texas Tech University, and completed the Leading Educating and Developing Program (LEAD) from University of Virginia. Pierson finished the Public Executive Institute Program at the University of Texas at Austin.
