Kaimai Rifle Suppressors are manufactured by D.F Maisey Ltd - the company of Tauranga-based qualified gunsmith, Dean Maisey. With his gunsmithing business established in August 1997, and after spending time overseas and qualifying as a gunsmith (while on an International Student Visa) with Colorado School of Trades - the internationally renown gunsmithing school in Denver, Colorado (USA) - he has spent over two decades of full-time service to the firearms industry in New Zealand. The business has produced a range of muzzle brakes and other firearms parts and accessories, as well as branching into production of high-quality rifle suppressors as well. He holds numerous design registrations, trademarks, and also a patent, on some of the items that he has designed.
