Omar is an accomplished litigator with extensive experience handling all aspects of litigation, from pleadings to trial. Prior to joining the firm, Omar was a law clerk to the Honorable Vera M. Scanlon of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Before that, Omar served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department, where he was primary litigation counsel on a wide range of federal and state actions and advised client agencies and City Hall regarding city-wide policies and practices. In recognition of his outstanding achievements and his reputation for successfully handling complex cases, Omar was awarded the New York City Bar Association's Municipal Affairs Award in 2017. In law school, Omar won a national moot court constitutional competition and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Justice John Cook of the High Court of Ireland.

In a career spanning nearly 30 years, Paul has represented a broad array of clients (from Fortune 500 companies to family-owned businesses) in a variety of complex, civil litigation and governmental investigation matters (including high-stakes breach of contract cases, class actions, partnership disputes, False Claims Act cases, and regulatory-compliance matters) in both state and federal courts. Paul also has experience as an in-house attorney for Fidelity Federal Bank, where he managed multi-jurisdictional litigation. This allows Paul to see litigation from the client's perspective-valuable insight that many litigators lack.

Sarah Silverton

Sarah Silverton is special counsel in the firm's complex commercial litigation group, specializing in appellate litigation. She has worked on matters as varied as national reinsurance indemnity, securities law, land use and water rights, federal jurisdiction, antitrust, intellectual property and entertainment contracts. Prior to joining LTL, Sarah served as a litigation attorney with Munger, Tolles & Olson's Los Angeles office. She started her career as a law clerk to Hon. Thomas P. Griesa, at the time the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, before moving on to clerk for the Hon. Pamela A. Rymer of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Sarah then spent one term with the Office of the Prosecutor in the Hague, Netherlands, working for the United Nations War Crimes Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. Before graduating with honors from Stanford Law School, Sarah served as a Notes Editor on the Stanford Law Review and interned on federal appellate cases with the Hon. William W. Shwarzer of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, sitting by designation as a circuit judge.

He has extensive experience litigating patent cases and was previously a patent litigation partner at Quinn Emmanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges LLP. Prior to attending law school, Steve was a process engineer and process control engineer for Amoco Oil Company. He was selected to Thompson Reuter's "Super Lawyers" list in 2013. Steve has experience in a wide variety of technologies, including lubricant chemistries, polyalkylene glycols, alkylene oxide production processes, oil refining, exhaust after treatment, nucleic acid isolation and purification, molecular diagnostic testing, protein chemistry, biosensors, nanotechnology, transdermal drug delivery, rapid prototyping, immunoassays, bicycle components, vehicle lifts, polymers, pressure sensitive adhesives, medical devices, scanning electron microscopy, vehicle safety systems, remote controls, and business methods. He has also prepared and prosecuted numerous utility and design patent applications, requests for reexamination, and reissue applications.
