THE MCCOLL MCLAUGHLIN MEDICAL PRACTICE - Key Persons
Dr Anna Wight became a GP Partner following the retirement of Dr McColl in April 2023. She previously completed GP Training as a GP Registrar with the Practice in 2019 and went continued working as a GP Locum until present.
Dr Kay became a GP Partner in the Practice in April 2023 having previously completed GP training in the Practice in 2017 when she became a Salaried GP. Dr Kay's working days are on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.
Dr McLaughlin qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1997, and works four days a week in the practice. Dr McLaughlin started work in the Practice in 2008 and became a GP Partner in April 2014, he is also a GP Trainer and Practice Quality Lead in the Pink Cluster.
Dr Nasim is a Salaried GP and joined the practice in October 2013, works Monday & Wednesday mornings and full day Thursday. Dr Nasim is fluent in Punjabi and Urdu.
Andrea is full time and is responsible for overseeing our IT system.
Lauren joined the Practice in 2012 and is full time. Lauren is one of our Practice Secretaries and oversees our Breast Screeing Programme.
We offer services with our Community Links Worker, Cristina Schieffer. Links workers are practitioners who work within GP Practices providing non medical support with personal, social, emotional and financial issues. These include low mood, anxiety and stress, social isolation, money, poverty issues and bereavement Cristina is a trained Counsellor and referral can be made directly by the patient or Gp referral. Our Admin staff can advise on the process.
Lorraine is responsible for the general organisation and smooth running of our practice. She deals with the appointment system, manages our reception and office team. If you have any questions about the practice, suggestions to help us improve the service we provide, or have had problems or a complaint, then please ask to speak to Lorraine.
Lynne works full time with our practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner this allows her to assess, diagnose and treat patients independently. She specialises in care of diabetes, asthma and heart disease She is also trained in British Sign Language to level 2 standards.
