I've been a disc jockey for longer than I can recall. It is, and has always been, about the music. I just create the playlists - never limiting myself to one style, one era, one artist - in surveying the genre. My role is as curator. I try to keep the listener off-balance, almost in a freeform style reminiscent of programmers in the earliest days of FM radio. One of my greatest influences was Saul Smaizys of Triad Radio. My voice on terrestrial radio covers the greater Calumet Region, from the Chicago suburbs all the way to the southwestern part of Michigan. I can also be heard on the worldwide web as all of my broadcasts stream in real time. I not only want to entertain, I also want to educate. My role is to shine a light on music which is often ignored on corporate radio. As a result of these slights, the progressive rock genre has not been given the shrift it deserves. All I can do is expose these gifted artists and let you hear for yourself that the genre has a rich and glorious..
