Dr. Karen Gobeil

​Dr. Gobeil completed her doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. Her doctoral research focused on weight and bullying in adolescents. She completed three years of internship working with children, adolescents and families, two of them working for local school boards. She has provided psychotherapy and counselling, mostly for difficulties related to anxiety, ADHD, learning problems, mood or relationships. Her therapeutic practice is generally cognitive-behavioural and inspired by solution-focused brief therapy. Creating positive moments, self-acceptance, compassion and using strengths are some of her priorities in therapy. Dr. Gobeil's waitlist is closed.

Dr. Maxime Dorville

Dr. Dorville offers psychotherapy services to adults and adolescents aged 16 and older in English and French. He completed his doctorate clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa, writing his dissertation on the subject of motivation and pro-environmental behaviors. During his training, he has had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults. He has provided psychotherapy and assessment services for diverse difficulties including anxiety, mood difficulties, and post-traumatic stress. His therapeutic practice is generally cognitive-behavioral but he also had experience with other therapeutic approaches that have included mindfulness and experiential components. ​

Dr. Rebecca Nemiroff

Dr. Nemiroff completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa and is a registered psychologist with the Ordre des psychologues du Quebec and the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, the Canadian Psychological Association and the Quebec Association of Psychologists. Dr. Nemiroff enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and provides services in an empathic and non-judgemental environment. Therapy and assessment services are confidential and are reimbursed by most private insurance plans. Dr. Nemiroff has experience working with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), dissociative disorders, grief and loss, depression, anxiety and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She works with parents to help understand and improve emotional and behavioural difficulties with their children, and helping both children and adults adjust to separation and divorce. Dr. Nemiroff takes an integrative approach to psychotherapy, combining elements of cognitive-behavioural, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based, experiential, and emotion-focused treatment strategies. For Dr. Nemiroff, therapy means working with people to help them learn new approaches to problems in living, to better cope with difficult emotions, to form healthy and meaningful relationships with other people, and to pursue the things that are most important to them. Therapy is a collaborative process, a partnership between client and therapist to empower clients to work towards their own healing and mental health. Dr. Nemiroff has a strong commitment to social justice in her work and in her life.Dr. Nemiroff provides psychotherapy services to adults, adolescents and children in English only. Dr. Nemiroff works, among others, with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, bereavement, post-traumatic stress disorder and other trauma-related difficulties, as well as dissociative disorders.
