WILDWOOD ACADEMY

Wildwood Academy is an independent middle school in Hood River, Oregon, serving students in grades 5-8. Our project-based integrated curriculum works to remove the walls of the classroom, taking our students out and into the larger world where real learning happens... Adolescents, we believe, thrive in a smaller school and class so educators can understand their needs and personalities. It allows for our students to form deeper and more meaningful relationships with both peers and educators. It also allows for more guidance and oversight as adolescents, in modern society, are increasingly subjected to age inappropriate stresses and pressures... At Wildwood, a small school population and class sizes are imperative to our philosophy and culture.
