Background & Experience: Andrew joined AIB in July 2022 and has over 25 years' experience working primarily in the financial services sector, in banks and management consulting firms. His international career has spanned Canada, Australia, England and Ireland and he has held posts such as Managing Director, Accenture Financial Services, Canada and more recently Executive Director of Modernisation & Corporate Strategy, and Chief External Relations Officer at Payments Canada. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.

Andy Maguire

Background & Experience: Andy has extensive financial services experience spanning 35 years, including sixteen years with the Boston Consulting Group where he rose to become Managing Partner of the London office covering the UK and Ireland, prior to which he held several global roles including Global Head of Retail Banking. From 2014 to 2020, Andy was the Group Chief Operating Officer for HSBC Holdings plc with responsibility for operations, technology, real estate, change and transformation and operational resilience. Ann O'Brien

Anne Carroll

Anne currently heads up the Cash Management Client Services team, supporting the bank's top payment generators. Specifically, Anne works with customers to implement automated end to end solutions between their ERP systems and those of the bank. Anne has over 20 years' experience with AIB. She has worked in many areas of International Banking covering cash management and treasury products, managing customer relations and branch training and communications. Anne holds a Bachelor of Financial Services Degree from UCD.

Basil Geoghegan

Background & Experience: Basil is a partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, in London. Previously Basil was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Citigroup in London and New York. He has broad M&A, corporate finance and strategic advisory experience in the US, UK, Ireland and internationally. He qualified as a solicitor with Slaughter and May. Basil is Chair of daa plc and is a Patron of The Ireland Fund of Great Britain. He holds an LLB from Trinity College, Dublin and an LLM from European University Institute.

Brendan Bane

Brendan was appointed Head of Treasury in July 2019. Previously he was Head of Treasury Products, Trade Finance & Cash Management since April 2017 and a member of the AIB Treasury Management Board for many years. He joined AIB Corporate Treasury in 1991 and has over 25 years' experience in Fixed Income and Interest Rate Risk markets managing a number of Interest rate portfolios in AIB Treasury. Prior to April 2017 he was Head of Interest Rate Risk Management for AIB's Banking Book. Brendan holds an honours degree in Commerce from UCD, a Masters in Strategic Management Accounting from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School and is a qualified Management Accountant (CIMA).

Brendan McDonagh

Background & Experience: Brendan started his banking career with HSBC in 1979, working across Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East, where he held various roles such as Group Managing Director for HSBC Holdings plc, membership of the HSBC Group Management Board, and CEO of HSBC North America Holdings Inc. Brendan is a former Director of Ireland's National Treasury Management Agency. He was previously the Executive Chairman of Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited. Brendan was appointed Deputy Chair with effect from 24 October 2019.

Brian Egan

Brian joined AIB in August 2015 as Head of AIB's Corporate Treasury sales team which is focused on the delivery of Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Risk solutions for corporate and multi-national businesses with operations in Ireland, UK and USA. Since September 2017 Brian is Head of the Financial Institutions. He has over 25 years' international investment banking experience managing various Domestic, European and Global derivative sales teams for some of the world's systematically important Financial Institutions. Brian is an alumni of both Trinity College Dublin and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Dublin.

Cathal O'Connor

Cathal has over 20 years domestic and international Corporate Banking experience having worked in Ireland and abroad for AIB. He is a member of the AIB Corporate Banking Leadership Team and Business Unit Head for the Healthcare and Food & Agri sectors with responsibility for all corporate lending and banking activity within these industry segments. Cathal has also been Chairman of the Inter Alpha Group of European Banks in the past and represents AIB on its Governing Body.

Cathy Bryce

Background & Experience: Cathy started her career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley and subsequently ABN AMRO. She joined AIB in 1996 holding a range of leadership roles in debt Capital Markets, most recently leading the international Leveraged Finance business. In 2018 she joined the National Treasury Management Agency where she was part of the executive management team as Director, NewERA and National Development Finance Agency. In 2019 she returned to AIB as Managing Director of Capital Markets. She is a business graduate of Trinity College Dublin and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

CJ Berry

Background & Experience: CJ joined AIB in 2002, bringing with him a wealth of experience across Irish, UK, US and European markets. During his 19 years in AIB, he has driven significant business development in our corporate and retail business, taking up the position of Interim Head of Group Strategy in July 2020. CJ served as Chief Operating Officer Designate from December 2020 until taking up his current role in July 2022. David Ward

He has experience of providing debt financing solutions to businesses operating in a wide range of sectors including construction, property, food manufacturing, healthcare and retail. Elaine MacLean - CHRO

Background & Experience: Elaine is a highly experienced human resources director specialising in financial services and retail. Fergal O'Dwyer

Gavin O'Carroll

Gavin joined AIB Treasury in 1999 and has gained extensive experience serving import and export Customers in both the Corporate and Commercial segments in Ireland and the UK. Operating in a highly regulated environment, Gavin is an advocate for the most successful outcomes for AIB customers and his deep knowledge of both local and EU regulation ensures best in class practices across the business. Geraldine Casey - CHRO

Background & Experience: Chief People Officer Geraldine, originally from Kerry and a graduate of University College Cork joined AIB in January 2020 from her most recent role as Director of People, Communications and IT at Tesco Ireland. She was also a member of the Executive Board of Tesco for 5 years and has a wealth of experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Geraldine has led large teams through culture, process and organisational change, and has brought that experience to bare in driving AIB's inclusion, culture, people and future of work agendas. Geraldine joined the Board of AIB Group (UK) p.l.c. as a Non-Executive Director in May 2021.

Helen Dooley - Chief Legal Officer

Background & Experience: Helen joined AIB as Group General Counsel in 2012. She had previously worked in private practice in the City of London, Hong Kong and Dublin, before taking up an in house role as Head of Legal in EBS Building Society in 2005, which became part of the AIB Group in 2011. Over the last 20 years, in addition to her legal role, Helen has also held the Company Secretary position and managed the regulatory compliance and HR functions. Helen is currently responsible for the Legal, Corporate Governance and Customer Care function.

Helen Normoyle

Background & Experience: Helen is a highly experienced marketeer with 30 years' experience in consumer marketing and market research across a range of sectors and geographies. A graduate of the University of Limerick, she started her career with Infratest+GfK, based in Germany. From there she moved to Motorola, where she held a range of roles including Director of Global Consumer Insights and Product Marketing and Director of Marketing. After working in broadcast and telecoms regulation at Ofcom as the Director of Market Research, she held Marketing Director and Chief Marketing Officer roles at the BBC, DFS, Countrywide and Boots, where she was also the Chair and Director of the Boots Charitable Trust. Helen also serves on the Board of AIB Group (UK) p.l.c as a Non-Executive Director. Helen was appointed Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 July 2022.

In 2020, he retired as Chair of Virgin Money and CYBG plc (Clydesdale Bank) having overseen the bank's successful demerger from National Australia Bank Group, its IPO and acquisition of Virgin Money. He has built considerable non-executive experience over the past twelve years across retail, wholesale and investment banking, asset and wealth management and the insurance sectors. Loyd Odey

Loyd has worked in Treasury since 1987 in both Wholesale Trading and Customer Services. He joined Allied Irish Bank in 2000 working in the Corporate Sales team managing the Manchester CTS team from 2007 to 2010. From April 2013 Loyd managed the London Sales team and was appointed Head of CTS GB in June 2014. Loyd has been FCA regulated since 2004 and has a wealth of experience in trading and providing risk solutions in Foreign Exchange, Options and Interest Rate Products. Loyd was appointed Head of CTS UK in October 2019, he has responsibility for delivering a full suite of treasury products across the AIB Group UK Corporate, Commercial and retail network as well as AIB London Branch where he is also a quorum member of the Governance Committee.

Mary Sharkey

Mary has been with Customer Treasury Services since 2001 and has a wide ranging experience across a number of teams including treasury sales, cash management and business development. She gained over ten years' experience delivering FX and interest rate solutions to AIB's corporate, SME and retail customer base in Ireland before working in a business development role with responsibility for sourcing funding and liquidity for AIB. She joined the Treasury Products team in 2015 with primary responsibility for treasury data, MI and product management before being appointed Head of Treasury Products in July 2017.

Mick Murray

Raj Singh

Background & Experience: Raj has 36 years' business, risk and governance experience gained in large and complex global listed financial services organisations including Citibank, Allianz, Swiss Re, Standard Life Aberdeen and EFG International with the last 20 years at the executive committee level as Group Chief Risk Officer. He has served as a Non-Executive Director of a national credit bureau and two listed financial institutions as well as many of the banking, insurance, reinsurance and asset management subsidiaries of those firms. Raj was appointed to AIB as a Non-Executive Director under the Relationship Framework between the Irish Minister of Finance and AIB Group. Seamus Strappe

Seamus joined AIB in 1987 and gained valuable experience in various departments within Treasury Operations, prior to moving to Wholesale Treasury in 1991. His role on the Liquidity & Funding desk, which also included Interest Rate Derivative trading, provided plenty of opportunity to gain further insights to Financial Markets and Risk Management. Since moving to Customer Treasury Services in 1994, Seamus has been leading customer centric Sales Teams to deliver a first class Treasury service to our customers across the various business sectors in which we operate, and was appointed to his current position as Head of Corporate & Institutional Treasury Sales Ireland in 2019, with responsibility for leading AIB's proposition in FX, Interest Rate Hedging & Cash Management solutions in this sector. Seamus holds a PIB APA accreditation, awarded by the Institute of Bankers in Ireland and is a member of the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Tanya Horgan
