Ali MacKenzie - COO

Ali has worked in the pipeline welding and fabrication industry for over 20 years. Throughout this period he has worked with a number of offshore pipeline contractors holding roles from pipeline welder through to his current position of operations director with Pipeline Technique. Within his roles he has worked on a number of Spoolbase facilities around the world as well as offshore pipelay vessels including S-lay , j-lay and reel-lay. As part of his management roles he has been involved in the building of Production Teams in various worldwide locations installing a Safety and Quality Culture throughout the workforce whilst still maintaining a focus on highly efficient productivity.

Athol Cobban

Ben MacKay - COO

Ben has spent 30 years + in the offshore pipeline space holding a number of leadership positions originating as a welder with Umax Pipeline contractors and developing to become the Operations Director, he also held the position of Managing Director of CRC Evans Offshore growing the business stream to a $100m + Revenues. Ben is COO of Pipeline Technique Limited and member of the board.

David Williams - Chairman

David, a graduate in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding, first experienced the offshore construction industry in 1977 when he joined the R&D team of WS Atkins and later moved to a commercial role at Taywood-Santa Fe Ltd as Proposals Manager. In 1985, armed with an MBA from London Business School, he started a 17 year career in private equity with 3i plc before returning to the offshore construction industry in 2004 when he was appointed Chairman and then CEO of Serimax SAS in Paris. David left Serimax in 2011 and in 2012 was appointed COO, then CEO, of Logstor SAS in Denmark to lead the business through a change of ownership and, two years later, he joined the Board of York, England based Shepherd Building Group as Executive Chairman. He led the business through the restructuring that resulted in a strategic focus on the Portakabin modular building activity. Today David's non-executive positions include: Chairman of the robotics technology business Tharsus Group; Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair at Shelf Drilling; and Operating Partner at Frog Capital

François Morel

François has over 30 years of experience in the welding services industry, starting with ETPM in the early 90's in its automatic welding department called Serimer Dasa. Holding various positions when based in France from field technician to head of maintenance, moving to Malaysia as project manager, operation manager, technical manager for APAC region, acting as Managing Director of Serimax Malaysia to support its set-up and business. Francois was promoted as VP Industrialization & Maintenance for Serimax Group in March 2016. Francois has joined PTL in May 2021, as Asset Manager and is still based in Malaysia

Frederic Castrec - CEO

Fréderic Castrec has over 25 years of experience in the welding services industry, primarily in the offshore and spoolbase pipeline construction sectors. Fred started his carrier in 1996 working with Serimer Dasa and held operating and leadership positions within operation and engineering until 2011, when he was appointed Managing Director of Serimax. Fred is a mechanical engineer graduated from Ecole Catholique des Arts & Metiers (Lyon) as well as a welding engineer from Ecole Supérieure de Soudure et de ses Applications (IWE / EWE). He has obtained his NEBOSH international certificate with distinction in 2011. Fred is CEO of Pipeline Technique Limited and an executive director of the board since June 2020

Mark Smith

Mark Smith Technical Welding Authority With a career in Oil & Gas spanning 30 years, Mark began his time as a Trainee Welding Engineer with J Ray McDermott. This period offered invaluable experience in many facets of offshore construction ranging from jackets & topsides to risers and spoolwork. Following on from this, Mark spent several years working with other fabricators, gaining knowledge of subsea structures, pipelines and pressure vessels, before joining Pipeline Technique in 2006 as their Senior Welding Engineer. The next 12 years saw Mark accomplish many pipeline welding engineering scopes for a worldwide array of clients, and promotion to Welding Manager, where he supervised a team of Welding Engineers. Thereafter, Mark sought further career challenges out with PTL before rejoining the company in 2021 as their Welding Technical Authority.

Phil Lanigan - CFO

Philip Joined Pipeline Technique in June 2021 as Chief Finance Officer. A chartered accountant by profession, Philip has previously been CFO for a number of private-equity owned and listed businesses, several of which operated on a global basis. His sector experiences include Oil & Gas, Nuclear & Defence and Construction sectors. Over the course of his career he has played a significant role in a number of high profile corporate transactions. At Pipeline Technique, Philip has responsibility for the finance function and member of the board. Philip is also a member of the Institute of Taxation.

Scott Black

Scott has over 30 years experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, both in heavy structural fabrication and offshore pipeline related works. His experience covers a range of responsibilities including welding and materials engineering, project management, operations management, commercial control and tendering. His roles with both main contractors and sub-contractors have supported projects in all the main oil and gas centres around the globe.

Stephen Rowe

Stephen has over 25 years' experience in the onshore & offshore oil and gas industry, specialising in onshore and offshore pipeline related works along with subsea structure anti-corrosion & thermal insulation works. His experience covers a range of responsibilities including anti-corrosion materials, thermal insulation, design engineering and project management. His roles with both main contractors and sub-contractors have supported projects in all the main oil and gas centers around the globe.

Stéphane ALLAIN - CCO

Stéphane ALLAIN started his career in the Oil and Gas welding services in 1996, working 23 years in Serimer Dasa / Serimax in regional and corporate management positions based in Asia and Europe. Stéphane was graduated in 1996 as International Welding Engineer from the Ecole Superieure de Soudure et de ses Applications. Stéphane has joined Pipeline Technique Limited in September 2020 as CCO and member of the board.
