Andrew leads Tern Development, where we have a particular pride in our team's ability to produce top quality pitches, proposals and sizzles quickly and creatively. Andrew joined Tern in 2010 from a career in radio and TV advertising and has stayed in Development throughout. His climb from producer to Head of Department has been helped by a succession of UK and International wins, largely in his key focus areas - Specialist Factual and Documentary. Many have been award winners.

Angela Smith

Brendan Hughes

Brendan is responsible for all output from the Belfast office. He has been with the company since June 2010. From there he develops and executive produces a range of Specialist Factual series, Daytime, and Features. He has filmed across Arts, Music, Docs, Features and Specialist Factual across the globe - from South America to the Far East and the Arctic Circle, with a very wide range of people. Some of them were fun. Hunter S Thompson and Allen Ginsberg were a hoot……

Diane Dunbar

Dominic leads the Branded Content Division, working with brands to develop partnerships with TernTV television productions. With over 20 years experience in the media and creative industries, Dominic has held a number of commercial roles for leading entertainment, production and news brand organisations including: Sky where Dominic's positions included Sponsorship & Funded Content Controller, Deputy Head of Digital Advertising and Commercial Manager Sky Music; Zodiak Media (now part of Banijay) where he was Head of Brand Partnerships UK; and Evening Standard and Independent owner ESI Media where he was Head of Sponsorship, Branded Content & Events. Dominic has developed partnerships for a portfolio of brands that span multiple sectors and includes: Nike, Panasonic, Parfums Givenchy, Citi, Domino's Pizza, Sharwood's, Diageo, Canary Wharf Group Plc, Stanhope, Crossrail, Coca-Cola, Virgin Money and Laurent-Perrier. Dominic has developed and brokered award-winning sponsorship and partnership deals across broadcast, print, digital and events and run some of the UK's most prestigious events including the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

Ehssan joined Tern in 2014. He works primarily as part of Tern's development team, creating taster tapes and showreels to help the company win commissions. His other responsibilities include designing TX cards, GFX editing and taking staff photos. Harrison joined Tern in 2022 as their first staff Online Editor & Colourist but has been working on Tern jobs for many years. Some jobs include: Beechgrove Garden, Emergency Helicopter Medics, Darren McGarvey's Addictions, Inside the Zoo, Black and Scottish, The Secret Life of Landfill: A Rubbish History. He moved to Scotland almost 10 years ago and has been working in TV since, laying his roots in the Machine Room, giving him a keen eye for detail, both technical and creative.

Paul Murton

Paul Murton is a writer, producer and director who's most widely known for his Grand Tours television series, which include: Grand Tours of Scotland, Grand Tours of the Scottish Islands, and Grand Tours of Scotland's Lochs. He has also presented and directed a range of history-based documentaries for the BBC, Channel Four and the Discovery Channel including The Maya Apocalypse, Unbuilt Britain and Scotland's Clans. Paul originally comes from Argyll, studied Philosophy at Aberdeen University, made films at Edinburgh Film Workshop Trust before enrolling at the National Film and Television School. After graduating, he worked originally as a drama director on The Bill, Casualty, Bramwell and The Blue Boy before returning to Scotland.

Siobhan Melville
