Founded in 2003, The Nanoethics Group is a research & education organization - not an advocacy, activist or watchdog group. What makes us different is that, where other organizations have already made up their minds either for or against nanotechnology, or are tied to certain interests, we have no agenda other than to keep an open mind and go where analysis & common sense lead us... As a research and educational group, we are involved with ethics and risk assessment, course development, publishing projects, media outreach, public lectures, and other activities to engage policymakers, business, academia, as well as the broader public on key issues in science and society... The Ethics + Emerging Sciences Group is a non-partisan organization focused on emerging technology ethics, including risk, legal, policy, and social impacts of new technologies and sciences.
