ABRAM DIAZ

Job Titles:
  • Policy Director
After joining NPH in 2021 as the Policy Director, Abram (he/him) leads our policy advocacy efforts to advance meaningful and equitable housing policy solutions for the Bay Area. Prior to joining NPH, Abram worked in the California State Legislature for five years and championed bills on affordable housing production, homelessness prevention, tenant protections, gun violence, and economic development. As Legislative Director for Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel, Abram coordinated the effort to secure $80 million in the state budget for legal aid to prevent evictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Abram is currently on the Housing California Board representing NPH. He holds a B.A. in Legal Studies from UC Santa Cruz and a MPA from the University of Southern California.

ALINA HARWAY - CCO

Job Titles:
  • Communications Director
Alina (she/her) joined NPH in 2016 and leads the communications team to advance the organization's membership, advocacy, and policy goals through media relations, messaging, marketing, and digital communications programs. Alina also leads the regional "Shift the Bay" narrative initiative, to advance housing and racial justice across the region through the development and production of research-driven and field-practiced strategies, tactics, and messages designed to seize this powerful moment to drive new narratives for our movement. Prior to joining NPH, Alina led communications for the successful Santa Clara County Measure A for Affordable Housing Campaign. Before joining our affordable housing community in Northern California, Alina worked in Oregon to develop and implement strategic communications campaigns in support of economic and social justice issues. Prior to her work as a consultant, Alina served as the Communications and Research Manager at Our Oregon, managing communications across diverse coalitions and developing digital and media campaigns to support legislative and ballot measure campaigns. She managed The Sockeye, Oregon's progressive blog, from 2011- 2014. Alina graduated cum laude from the College of William & Mary with a B.A. in English and holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Portland State University.

AMBER HARRIS

Amber (she/her) joined NPH In May 2022 as Administrative Associate, where she brings her previous administrative and operational needs experience. Amber has previous nonprofit experience as the Co-founder of Kiante Vernae Foundation, a mental health organization. She brings to NPH her passion for crisis intervention and access to resources and housing solutions in her community. Amber is currently pursuing her B.A. in Business Administration.

AMIE FISHMAN

Job Titles:
  • Executive Director
Amie (she/her) joined NPH as the Executive Director in January 2015 after more than 20 years in affordable housing and community development. Amie has led NPH's strategic growth into new, groundbreaking electoral strategy; campaigns to grow public support and drive public will for affordable housing; and programs to strengthen the affordable housing industry and movement. Under her leadership, NPH has secured significant new resources for Bay Area affordable housing investments - winning more than $2 billion from three Bay Area County measures in November 2016 and more than $6 billion from the statewide and local measures in 2018. She grew NPH's regional partnerships and legislative policy advocacy in Sacramento, resulting in collective regional and state wins including the Historic Housing Package of 2017, the CASA compact backed by a multi-sector coalition, and the 2019 3Ps legislative package of 10 state and regional bills that promote the holistic 3Ps framework of Production, Preservation, and Tenant Protections. Under Amie's direction, NPH has grown capacity building programs for the industry and movement, including new affordable housing resident voter programs, launching the Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP,) and the development of an industry-wide Racial Equity Action Plan. Prior to NPH, Amie served as the Executive Director of East Bay Housing Organizations for almost nine years, where she initiated major affordable housing advocacy campaigns, launched a resident organizing program, and grew their membership and coalition work. Amie also worked as the Director of Supportive Housing at Mission Housing Development Corporation for 10 years, directing supportive housing programs and community organizing collaborations for homeless and formerly homeless adults and families. Amie holds an MPA in public policy analysis with a focus on affordable housing and community development from the Wagner School of Public Service at NYU.

ANDREW WONG

Andrew (he/him) joined NPH in May 2022 to support the organization's events, trainings, and fund development. He is experienced in managing and utilizing data to improve organizations' effectiveness in carrying out their mission. Before joining NPH, Andrew worked professionally in the nonprofit sector for 5 years in program, fund development, and database management roles. Andrew holds a Bachelor's in English and Creative Writing from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Washington. He also currently serves on the board of Big Leap Collective and is passionate about art and music.

BELINDA KEMETSE

Job Titles:
  • Senior Operations and Finance Manager
Belinda (she/her) joined the NPH team in May of 2022 as the Senior Operations and Finance Manager where she helps create an equitable and inclusive workplace for NPH staff. She leads the Operations team in identifying areas to create internal systems that support the external work of NPH. Prior to NPH, Belinda worked with Giffords Law Center as the Senior Operations Manager where she managed the internship program, finances, DEI/REI work, and HR work. Belinda has a double Masters in International Business and Disruptive Innovation with specialization in Entrepreneurship and Family Business from Hult International Business School. She received her B.F.A in International Business and Fine Arts from Cottey College. Belinda's education and passion for intercultural exchanges led her to 6 countries/cities including Dubai, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand. She takes her experiences abroad into consideration with every aspect of her personal and professional life. Belinda is a supporter of the arts and is an artist that loves to be in the ceramics studio, creating tableware and decorative pieces for her friends and family. She is an aspiring yogi that loves to travel, indulge in a good book, and explore hiking spots in the Bay.

Chris Iglesias

Job Titles:
  • Visionary Leader
Chris Iglesias is a visionary leader who has dedicated his career to executing a social equity agenda through innovative and strategic public-private partnerships. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Unity Council (TUC), he leads one of East Oakland's most vital community assets-a 55-year-old social equity development organization devoted to improving the quality of life for the residents of the largest Latino neighborhood in the Bay Area-Oakland's Fruitvale District-through a place-based economic and intergenerational equity agenda. Iglesias, an Oakland native, is a recognized public sector leader with a longstanding career in the Bay Area. Prior to joining TUC, he served as San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's Senior Advisor on Jobs and Contracting Programs. He also served as the Executive Director of San Francisco's Human Rights Commission and the Founding Director of CityBuild-San Francisco's nationally recognized construction workforce program aimed at training residents for public and private construction projects. Iglesias currently serves on the Job and Housing Coalition and SPUR Oakland Board, the Oakland Thrives Leadership Council, and is the Co-Chair of the African American Latino Action Alliance. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from San Jose State University, where he played NCAA Division I FBS Football as a wide receiver.

Cindy Wu

Job Titles:
  • Executive Director of Bay Area LISC
Cindy Wu is the executive director of Bay Area LISC. She leads a local team to facilitate the creation of community-centered agendas and drive investment to those agendas. Bay Area LISC co-leads the Partnership for the Bay's Future with SF Foundation. Cindy is equal parts grassroots activist and pragmatic problem-solver. The common thread, though all her years of work has been a deep commitment to community engagement and decision-making by residents to determine their own fate of their own neighborhoods. Cindy has also been member of the San Francisco Planning Commission, including a term serving as its president. She holds a Masters in City Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley.

CONSUELO HERNANDEZ

As the Director of the Office of Supportive Housing, Consuelo Hernandez's team works to support the County's mission of promoting a healthy, safe, and prosperous community by ending and preventing homelessness. In her role, Consuelo has overseen the implementation and administration of the County's $950M Affordable Housing Bond and other housing development programs, coordinated the countywide network of supportive housing programs, and directed the lead agency for the local Continuum of Care. As a result of this work, since 2015, the County and its partners have helped nearly 20,000 homeless adults, families, and children move into permanent housing and have expanded the number of new supportive housing units by approximately 2,700. Prior to joining the County in 2015, Consuelo served in various planning and development capacities in the City of Palo Alto and in Los Angeles County cities. Consuelo is a certified planner and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). In 2019, Consuelo received an Impact Award from SPUR for her efforts to advance deeply affordable housing development throughout Santa Clara County. On a personal note, Consuelo grew up in South East Los Angeles with her parents and five siblings. While at UC Santa Barbara, Consuelo developed a passion for social justice and found a platform for change working in housing and community development.

DANIEL WOODS-MILLIGAN

Job Titles:
  • Fund Development & Membership Manager
Daniel (he/him) joined NPH as the Fund Development & Membership Associate in 2020 and became the Fund Development & Membership Manager of the NPH team in 2022, where he helps coordinate fundraising activities and membership engagement. Before joining NPH, Daniel worked in community reentry for the formerly incarcerated, where he managed fund development and took a special interest in addressing barriers to safe and secure housing faced by young people with a history of incarceration. Daniel earned a BA in International Studies from the University of Iowa and a Master of International Affairs degree from UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy. He is an AmeriCorps and community college alumnus and the proud holder of a GED.

DIANA DOWNTON

Diana joined CEI in 2014, bringing with her 14 years of previous experience in affordable housing development, advocacy, and local government housing finance. Prior to joining CEI, she worked for the City of Oakland's Housing and Community Development Department serving as the lead staff for the City's affordable housing development Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) process, and providing financing for a wide variety of affordable housing rental and ownership projects including new construction and rehabilitation of family, senior, and special needs housing. Diana has also worked as a Project Manager at the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, where she was responsible for the rehabilitations of special needs housing developments. She has been active in local housing advocacy organizations, including East Bay Housing Organizations and as a staff member at the Nonprofit Housing Association of Northern California. Diana received a master's in city and regional planning from Rutgers University, as well as a bachelor's degree in community studies from UC Santa Cruz.

DONALD GILMORE

Mr. Gilmore has over 36 years of experience in affordable housing development, comprehensive community improvement services and program and Executive Director non-profit management. As the Executive Director of Community Housing Development Corporation (CHDC) since 1992, Donald Gilmore is known for spearheading comprehensive neighborhood revitalization efforts. Under Don's leadership, CHDC has completed over 1500 units for affordable rental and homeownership; created and operated programs that foster economic and leadership development for neighborhood residents; built diverse partnerships as well as a strong internal organization to achieve economic improvement for traditionally disinvested neighborhoods; and extended the company's reach to serve communities in Contra Costa, Alameda and Solano Counties. As CHDC's first executive director, Don has built the organization from an all-volunteer to a staff nearly 50 employees with a variety of services and programs. Real Estate Development, Homeownership & Asset Building, Asset Management, CDFI Lending, Economic Development, Community Engagement and Property Management. A few programs are housed under CHDC affiliates. Most recently, under Don's leadership, CHDC has added business lines in real estate brokerage services, with a focus on affordability for first time buyers which includes special lending and down payment assistance funding. Prior to his leadership at CHDC, Mr. Gilmore worked with the City of Alameda Housing Authority as a Housing Development Specialist, and with Richmond Neighborhood Housing Services as Executive Director. He is a graduate of Harvard University's Achieving Excellence program, holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Idaho and holds numerous professional certifications. He has served on boards of NeighborWorks National Network and numerous NeighborWorks National Advisory Committees, the Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California, East Bay Housing Organizations, the national Center for Employment Training, the Center for Health of North Richmond.

ESTEPHANIE SUNGA

  • Senior Program & Events Manager
Estephanie (she/her) organizes, manages, and leads NPH's signature events, including the Annual Affordable Housing Leadership Awards and Annual Affordable Housing Conference. Additionally, Estephanie manages and develops critical ongoing professional development and capacity building programs that support NPH members and affordable housing professionals, including the Brown Bag Training Series, the Resident Services Professional Development Training Series, and the Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN). Since originally joining NPH in 2016 as the Program and Events Associate, Estephanie has organized NPH's largest Annual Awards and Conference to date, and continues to be an integral member of the operations team. Estephanie was promoted to Program and Events Manager in 2018 and has been NPH's Senior Program and Events Manager since 2020. Before joining the NPH team, Estephanie worked with Hamilton Families to provide case management and to develop youth programs supporting formerly homeless families and youth. Prior to that, Estephanie managed an at-risk youth program in SF's South of Market, oversaw youth services, connected newly migrated families with local resources. Estephanie holds a B.A. in Politics from the University of San Francisco.

Fathia Macauley

Job Titles:
  • Housing Trust As Chief Lending Officer
Fathia Macauley joined Housing Trust as Chief Lending Officer in September 2019. She provides oversight for Housing Trust's lending programs including Multifamily, first-time homebuyer programs and Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) initiatives. Fathia has been in the field of community development finance for the past 25 years, including over 18 years of experience financing and developing redevelopment projects throughout California, ranging from affordable housing development projects to community facilities such as charter schools, community health clinics, faith-based facilities and mixed-use development projects. Throughout her career she has managed over $600M in CRA and affordable housing development projects and participated in the creation of over 1,000 affordable homes, either as a developer or lender. Fathia has also written several community plans and conducted community development research on the intersection of neighborhood revitalization and community investment. She was most recently California Market Lead at Capital Impact Partners, leading strategic planning for affordable housing lending and business strategy for California. She managed a $70M CA loan pipeline as well as three venture loan funds, including leading Capital Impact's participation in The Bay's Future Fund. She was a lead originator for mission focused lending to affordable housing developers, FQHCs, social service agencies and charter schools. Prior to Capital Impact Partners, Fathia served as Director of Business Development, Northern California for Clearinghouse CDFI, opening the Oakland office and expanding social impact lending in Northern California. Earlier, Fathia was Associate Director, Investment Officer for Nonprofit Finance Fund where she originated loans and New Markets Tax Credit projects and provided technical assistance to nonprofit borrowers in the Western United States. Fathia's venture into CDFI lending was based on her prior experience in affordable housing development and economic development for nine years in Los Angeles. Prior to reentering the lending field in 2011, Fathia was a strategic development consultant for seven years, assisting small and mid-size nonprofit and community organizations as well as small businesses transform their dreams into tangible programs and projects, increasing their infrastructure and capacity for growth, as well as finding funding sources that best suit their needs. Fathia has also trained professionals in fund development and has been a guest lecturer at both USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and UCLA Economics Department. Fathia has also written several community plans and conducted community development research on the intersection of neighborhood revitalization and community investment. Fathia holds a Bachelor's degree in History and African Area Studies from UCLA and a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.

Geoffrey Morgan

Geoffrey Morgan oversees all operations of the organization, which serves over 3,000 residents with the highest quality of environmentally sustainable and service enriched affordable housing. Prior to joining First Community Housing, Geoffrey was the Vice President of Real Estate Development for Christian Church Homes and was responsible for development in various phases of approximately 2,000 units of senior housing and mixed use projects nationally. He has over 16 years of experience in overseeing all aspects of the financing, development, construction, and operation of affordable housing projects, subdivision home building, commercial real estate development, agricultural land trusts, historic renovations, and military base reuse. He is a Graduate of MIT with a Masters in Real Estate Development and is a licensed General Contractor and LEED AP Homes Accredited.

IZANIE LOVENED

Izanie (she/her) joined NPH in April 2022 as the Racial Equity & Inclusion Program Manager, leading NPH's Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP). Before joining NPH, Izanie interned with the San Francisco Planning Department under the Community Equity Division. During her time there, she created a report that identified best practices for community engagement in the Fillmore, Western Addition neighborhood. This project was important for Izanie because her family is originally from the Fillmore area. Izanie holds an Associate's degree in Math and Science from City College of San Francisco, a Bachelor's degree in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis, and Master's degree in Urban Planning from San Jose State University. J.T. HARECHMAK

J.T. Harechmak (he/him) joined NPH in May 2022 as Policy Manager, where he works on state and federal advocacy efforts. He leads the Regulatory Working Group, which covers the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC) and the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC). Before joining NPH, J.T. was a legislative aide, a LIHTC development consultant, a resident and board member of a student housing cooperative, a researcher on Permanent Supportive Housing, a project manager for a rapid rehousing prototype house, and a fair housing advocate that focused on equitable disaster recovery. He holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Santa Clara University and a Masters in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin. JA'NAI AUBRY

In July 2021, Ja'Nai Aubry (she/her) joined NPH as the Senior Policy Manager where she leads regional policy advocacy for affordable housing. Ja'Nai was formerly the Director of Continuum of Care Strategies at EveryOne Home, the backbone agency for Alameda County's Continuum of Care. Prior to EveryOne Home, Ja'Nai was the Housing and Gender Justice Staff Attorney at Family Violence Law Center (FVLC), where she engaged in policy and legislative advocacy centering the needs of women of color experiencing homelessness. She has worked at various legal aid agencies to provide direct legal services to gender-based violence survivors and low/ extremely low-income tenants. She currently serves on FVLC's Housing and Gender Justice Advisory Board and Causa Justa's Board. Ja'Nai received her B.A. in History from Santa Clara University and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, with specializations in International Law and Critical Race Theory. Janice Jensen

Janice Jensen has more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit management, primarily in the fields of healthcare and affordable housing. As President & CEO of Habitat East Bay/Silicon Valley, Janice guides the overall vision, strategy, and impact of Habitat. Since joining Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley in January 2005 Janice has led her team to expand programs, increase home production and families served. In addition, she currently serves as vice chair for Silicon Valley@Home's Board of Directors as well as Habitat for Humanity California State Support Organization. She also serves on the board of governors for the California Housing Consortium, and the Community Advisory Board for First Republic Bank and serves on the Technical Committee for CASA - Committee on Affordable and Sustainable Accommodations. She is very active with Habitat for Humanity nationally as current co-chair of a national initiative redefining Habitat's service model in the US, and was the vice chair of Habitat for Humanity International's US Council, and chair of the US Policy Committee. In 2017, the Silicon Valley Business Journal honored Janice as a Woman of Influence for her community leadership.

Joseph Villarreal

Joseph Villarreal oversees programs that provide affordable housing and supportive services to over 25,000 residents of Contra Costa County. During his ten-year tenure, HACCC has partnered its project-based voucher program with Contra Costa County's affordable housing program to fund 1,382 new or preserved affordable housing units. When all projects are completed, this will more than double the units committed by HACCC to this effort. Prior to HACCC, Joseph worked at the Benicia, Alameda County, and Oakland Housing Authorities. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Contra Costa Council on Homelessness, the Kennedy King Memorial Scholarship Fund, and is the current Board President of the Community Housing Development Corporation. He is past President of the California Association of Housing Authorities, a former member of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) and the past President of NAHRO's Pacific Southwest Region. Joseph is the co-author/editor of the book Philanthropy in Communities of Color. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Applied History.

Karim Sultan

Karim Sultan has worked in the real estate industry for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in property management, asset management and construction. Karim started his real estate career as a licen sed realtor and real estate investor. He also worked in the for-profit property management sector. Karim joined the affordable housing industry in 2008. Once joining the industry Karim has worked for a variety of nonprofits in different roles. He previously worked for EBALDC as a property supervisor. He also worked for Mercy housing as an Asset Manager. His most recent assignment was at Covia where he was the Vice President of Affordable Housing where he oversaw operations for the affordable housing division. Since 2014 Karim has volunteered with ELPN/NPH to support recruitment and advocacy for the industry, and to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. He is on the advisory board for NPH's BAHIP internship and is active in the SF Bay Area Asset Management Group. He was also the Board President for the Visitation Valley Community Development Corporation(VVCDC).

KATIE LAMONT

Katie began serving as TNDC's Chief Operating Officer in April 2022, following ten years as Director and then Senior Director of Housing Development. In her new role, she serves as a bridge between disciplines guiding TNDC to deliver communities that meet the needs of tenants, program participants, site staff, and partners. With a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and shared leadership, Katie works with TNDC staff and partners to develop strategies, influence policies, and implement solutions that grow housing stability, enhance wellness, and amplify the voices of San Franciscans living on limited incomes. Prior to joining TNDC, Katie worked 9 years for Eden Housing, most recently as Associate Director of Real Estate Development, where she supervised junior staff, led new business development activity, worked on policy, and managed her own project teams implementing all aspects of affordable housing development and joint ventures with homebuilders and service providers. Prior to joining Eden, Katie was a project manager at the Los Angeles Community Design Center, now Abode Communities. She began her career working in fair housing at Housing Opportunities Project for Excellence in Miami, Florida. Katie earned a Master in Urban Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in American Civilization from Brown University.

KUN LI

Ze (he/him) joined NPH in 2022 as the Senior Campaign Manager where he leads the Bay Area regional ballot measure effort for affordable housing. Ze was the Director of Campaign Operations for CliffordMoss, a leading California election planning, political strategy, public affairs and strategic communications firm in Oakland. With over a decade of political experience, Ze has guided California State Senate and State Assembly, Countywide and City Council electoral campaigns to victory. He's won 24 out of 26 campaigns because he values strategic partnerships and coalition building, utilizes polling and data to inform decisions, recognizes the power of micro-targeting, and grinds every angle and runs down every possible lead. Ze is a natural practitioner of the philosophy "people support what they help create." His innate ability to connect with stakeholders and community members creates campaign momentum when it's needed most. He got his first taste of political organizing in 2010, when as a De Anza College student, he helped organize a 15,000-person march in San Francisco to advocate for adequate educational funding. Ze graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in political science. He was born in China and moved to the Bay Area at age 9. LARRY FLORIN

Job Titles:
  • Treasurer of the Board
Prior to his current position Mr. Florin held prominent positions in both the public and private sector. In San Francisco Mr. Florin worked for three Mayoral Administrations. His projects including the conversion of Treasure Island to civilian use, the replacement of the Embarcadero Freeway and the conversion of the Presidio from the military to the National Park Service. Mr. Florin was the first Executive Director of the Treasure Island Development Authority an agency that was created to manage the redevelopment of Treasure Island. He was also Deputy Director of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency and oversaw the conversion of the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard to civilian reuse. In 1989, after the Loma Prieta earthquake, Mr. Florin held lead responsibility for working with FEMA on recovery efforts for the city. Most recently Mr. Florin was the Director of Housing and Government Affairs for Napa County where he was responsible for administering the county's Affordable Housing Programs and overseeing the County's Housing Authority, Economic and Community Development activities as well as government and legislative affairs. Mr. Florin also played a critical role in the recovery efforts after the 2012 South Napa earthquake. Mr. Florin's experience in the private sector was as a Division President for Lennar a publicly traded national homebuilding company. He also started his own development company which specialized in repurposing of former industrial sites in San Francisco. Mr. Florin has a Masters in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the State University of New York.

LONDRE HOLMES

  • Digital Communications Manager
Londre (he/him) joined NPH in 2020 as the Digital Communications Manager, where he develops and implements NPH's digital communications programs, acting as the voice of the organization across social platforms. In 2022, Londre was promoted to Digital Communications Manager. With many years in the marketing, advertising, and communications world, Londre has been on the forefront of the field's transition in the digital sphere. He previously worked in the private sector, honing his skills by utilizing paid digital advertising and organic placements via social media and managing company reputation through Yelp and direct customer emails, before transitioning to the affordable housing industry in an effort to better serve communities in the Bay Area. Londre has a B.A. in Communication with an option in Media Production from California State University, East Bay. While attending the university, Londre was pivotal in creating and growing a digital presence for Cal State East Bay's housing department by implementing and managing the department's social media platforms.

MADISON ROBERTS

Madison (she/they) joined NPH in 2021 as our first Narrative Specialist and will play a key role in expanding NPH's "Shift the Bay" initiative through resource development, coalition engagement, and messaging expertise that drives new narratives around affordable housing in the Bay Area. Prior to this position, Madison served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer and Analyst at the City of Salinas Community Development Department where she co-directed a regional Farmworker Housing Action Plan, managed ADU planning and regulatory projects, and led stakeholder engagement and oversight committees. Madison holds a B.A. in Urban Studies, minor in Sustainable Design, and Certificate in Global Urban Humanities from the University for California, Berkeley. In 2020, they co-founded Morgan's Message, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization amplifying stories, resources, and expertise to destigmatize student-athlete mental health.

MARIANNE LIM

Marianne Lim has more than 25 years of experience in real estate development, including affordable rental, public housing, homeownership, and market-rate housing. Throughout her career, she has worked for nonprofit organizations, for-profit developers, and municipal housing authorities, and has developed or preserved thousands of units of affordable housing throughout California. As director of portfolio finance and policy at EAH Housing, Ms. Lim is responsible for reviewing the financial structure of projects in the organization's portfolio as well as maintaining review and analysis in the post-acquisition transition and execution of the business plan. She leads the public policy and government relations work for EAH Housing on affordable housing financing, regulations and legislation. Ms. Lim holds a bachelor of arts degree in Landscape Architecture and two master's degrees in City & Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and serves on the boards of the California Coalition for Rural Housing, the NPH Action Fund, and Sequoia Living. She also has LEED AP and Green Building Professional designations.

Miriam Benavides

Miriam Benavides has worked in the affordable housing industry for over 15 years. Miriam provides strategic organizational leadership and oversees the organization's Human Resources, Risk Management, and Equity and Inclusion Departments. Miriam began her career at SAHA in 2013 as the Director of Human Resources and Operations. Prior to SAHA, Miriam served as the Director of Human Resources and Administration of Satellite Housing, where she played key strategic role in the organization's merger with Affordable Housing Associates to form SAHA. Miriam's career in the non-profit field of HR began at The Unity Council.

MOLLY MARSH

Molly joined NPH in 2021 as the Executive Assistant and was promoted to Executive Operations & Advocacy Compliance Manager in 2022, where she supports all operations pertaining to the Executive Director's office and manages the work involving the NPH Action Fund. After working in both administrative and direct service roles in the non-profit sector, Molly has found her niche to create and maintain organized structures for passionate teams serving the Bay Area community. In her previous work helping San Franciscans identify pathways out of homelessness, she realized with each client how critical access to affordable housing is in the fight to end homelessness for our neighbors in the Bay Area and beyond. She hopes to bring her previous experience with the community, education in public policy and urban studies, and administrative expertise to advance NPH's goals in the affordable housing Industry. Molly holds a B.A. in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and a Master's degree in Urban and Public Affairs from the University of San Francisco.

MONICA JOE

Monica (she/her) joined NPH in 2019 to lead the Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP) and to maintain a racial equity focus on NPH's member programs and organizational work. Before joining NPH, she administered the Neighborhoods programs and the Below Market-Rate Housing program for the City of Mountain View. She started her housing career at nonprofit organizations in Seattle working on racial equity initiatives and affordable housing development. While there, she had the opportunity to help launch a program to provide tiny houses for people experiencing homelessness. She is a San Francisco native who has dedicated her career to encouraging equitable development and affordable housing for all. Monica holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Soka University of America with an urban anthropology focus and a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Washington with a focus on affordable housing development.

MORGAN LABARRIE

Morgan (she/her) joined the NPH team as the Program and Events Associate in April 2020 and became the Program and Events Manager in 2022. Morgan helps coordinate and organize NPH's trainings, programs, and signature events, including the Annual Affordable Housing Conference and Affordable Housing Leadership Awards. She brings passion and experience in event planning, management, and operations - she enjoys bringing people together in an inclusive and diverse environment. She's very happy to be part of a team that strives to educate and advocate for affordable housing for everyone. Morgan holds a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Grand Valley State University.

PEGGY LEE

Peggy (she/her) joined NPH in 2007 as the Grants Manager and became the Deputy Director in 2012. Peggy leads the team that manages NPH's operational and programmatic work, including fundraising, capacity building programs, fiscal management and human resources, and office management. She also plays a key role in NPH's work to advance racial equity in the affordable housing sector, including the Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP). Prior to joining NPH, Peggy worked for six years at the Chinatown Community Development Center, a San Francisco nonprofit that develops, owns, and operates affordable homes across the city as well as organizes the community on tenants' rights, affordable housing, transportation justice, and equitable open space in San Francisco's Chinatown. At Chinatown CDC, Peggy started as the Executive Assistant, supporting the Executive Director, Deputy Director, and Board of Directors, and later became the Grants Associate. Peggy is also a former board member of the East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO) and the Coalition on Homelessness San Francisco. Peggy speaks Taiwanese and Mandarin Chinese and reads and writes Traditional Chinese.

RACHEL ROBERTS

Rachel (she/her) joined NPH in 2015 to manage all accounting aspects, including financial reporting for management and the board, and audit requirements and reports. Rachel thrives on streamlining and organizing systems to create more meaningful financial reporting. She has been a full charge bookkeeper/accountant for a variety of small businesses in a number of different industries since 2002 and has been working in the nonprofit sector since 2009. Rachel also works part time at The Leakey Foundation and Global Footprint Network. She previously has worked seven years in the financial markets as a licensed associate and five years as an office manager. A Maine native, Rachel moved to the Bay Area in September 2010 and lives with her partner and son. Rachel holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine.

RANDY TSUDA

Mr. Tsuda joined Alta Housing in 2018 after serving as the Mountain View Community Development Director for over 10 years. His career includes experience in the non-profit, private, and public sectors, and spans real estate, city planning, affordable housing, and economic development. He has worked on projects that received awards from the American Planning Association, American Society of Landscape Architects, and in May 2018 received the "Bringing It Home" award from SV@Home, a policy and advocacy organization focused on increasing affordable housing. Mr. Tsuda was also a lecturer for seven years in the Urban and Regional Planning Program at San Jose State University. Mr. Tsuda has a Bachelors Degree in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

SHOLA OLATOYE - COO

Shola joined Eden Housing in October 2022 as Chief Operating Officer, Shola Olatoye brings extensive experience in the housing and community development sector to our organization. Shola is responsible for oversight of Property Operations, Human Resources and Talent Development, and Business Technology.

TOMIQUIA MOSS

With more than 20 years of leadership and management experience, Tomiquia is locally and nationally recognized as a dynamic nonprofit and public sector leader with expertise in housing, public policy and community development. Before founding All Home, where she serves as the Chief Executive, Tomiquia was CEO of Hamilton Families for several years. Hamilton Families offers emergency, transitional and permanent housing services for families experiencing homelessness. From 2014 to 2017, she served directly under the mayors of both San Francisco and Oakland, most recently as Chief of Staff for Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf. Previously, she was the Executive Director of the HOPE SF Initiative, a public housing and neighborhood revitalization effort with the late San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee's Office. Known for innovating in the public sector, Tomiquia served as the founding project director of the San Francisco Community Justice Center of the Superior Court of California. As a social worker and advocate for social justice, she continues work on behalf of our most vulnerable communities. She holds a Masters' Degree in public administration from Golden Gate University. Tomiquia and her family are proud to call Oakland home.

YESENIA JAMESON

Yesenia (she/her) initially joined NPH in May 2019 as Communications Manager and after a year hiatus, returned in October 2020 as Interim Media and Content Specialist. She began her current role as Senior Content Manager in May 2022, where she focuses on writing motivating and persuasive content to advance NPH's vision for housing and racial justice in the Bay Area. Yesenia has worked as a nonprofit communications professional in California since 2015, focusing on social media campaigns, writing and editing, video editing, website maintenance, and email marketing programs. Prior to joining NPH, she worked in communications capacities at Housing California and the California Budget & Policy Center. Yesenia graduated from UC Berkeley in 2014 with bachelor degrees in English and Religious Studies. She has been a yoga instructor since 2020 and is writing a dystopian science fiction novel about fundamentalist Christians and extraterrestrials.
