Anna McCaslin

Anna McCaslin, M.B.A., has been a member of Boys Town National Research Hospital since 2019 when she joined as the Vice President of Finance for Healthcare. She is responsible for the financial operations of the hospital, including Revenue Cycle, Accounting, Managed Care Contracting, and Physician Compensation. Mrs. McCaslin earned her Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is a Fellow of the Nebraska Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She has over 25 years of Healthcare Financial management experience and served in leadership roles in two large healthcare systems in Metropolitan Omaha prior to joining the leadership team at Boys Town National Research Hospital.

Deepak Madhavan

Deepak Madhavan, M.D., joined Boys Town National Research Hospital in May 2019. Throughout his tenure, he has held key leadership roles, including Executive Medical Director of the Pediatric Neuroscience Initiative. In his current role as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs, Dr. Madhavan plays in integral role in patient safety initiatives, accreditation activities, strategic planning and physician recruitment and retention. Dr. Madhavan received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his neurology residency and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He completed fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and in epilepsy - both at New York University. In addition to the industry leadership he provides through his role at Boys Town Pediatric Neuroscience, Dr. Madhavan has long served as an advocate for the epilepsy community throughout the state of Nebraska. He previously founded an epilepsy-focused nonprofit to assist with the social needs of patients affected by epilepsy.

Patrick E. Brookhouser

Patrick E. Brookhouser, M.D., was the Founding Director of Boys Town National Research Hospital in 1972. Since that time, the Hospital has provided care and treatment to patients from across the USA and a number of foreign countries. It is one of the most influential specialty hospitals and research institutes in the world. Dr. Brookhouser was a gifted physician and surgeon and a steward of Father Flanagan's dream to help children. He has been recognized by his medical colleagues here and across the U.S. for his contributions to the field of otolaryngology and otology, along with the groundbreaking research he initiated in the treatment and prevention of hearing loss and other communication disorders, especially in children. An advocate for both medical education and research, Dr. Brookhouser's national leadership roles have included: Chair of the Residency Review Committee for Otolaryngology, a Director of the American Board of Otolaryngology, membership on the National Advisory Councils for both the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders and the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development, and President of both the Triological Society and the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. Dr. Brookhouser received his Bachelor of Science Degree (summa cum laude) from Creighton University and was awarded his Doctor of Medicine Degree by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit Honor Society and the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. He was also honored by induction into the Johns Hopkins Society of Scholars and by the Distinguished Alumnus Award given by the Johns Hopkins University Alumni Association.

Ryan McCreery

Ryan McCreery, Ph.D., began his career at Boys Town National Research Hospital in 2004 as an audiologist. While working in Boys Town Audiology, he completed his Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, an achievement that earned him a promotion to a scientist on the research side of the organization in 2011. By 2012, he was named Director of the Center for Audiology, and in 2017, Dr. McCreery was appointed Vice President of Research at Boys Town. In this current role, Dr. McCreery is responsible for strategic direction and operations of the Boys Town Hospital research centers and the laboratories that comprise them. The achievements of the labs under his purview and their culture of translational research contribute directly to the Boys Town Hospital mission of changing the way America cares for children and families. Dr. McCreery has overseen a substantial increase in the number of scientists and external research funding during his tenure as Vice President of Research, including supporting the establishment of the Institute for Human Neuroscience in 2021. In addition to his duties as Vice President of Research, Dr. McCreery leads an NIH-funded research lab that studies way to improve how hearing aids are fitted for children and adults with hearing loss. Dr. McCreery's involvement in life-changing care extends beyond his work at Boys Town Hospital. He is a volunteer at St. Cecilia Cathedral School where he coaches basketball and supports health screening events. He is the current chair of the Scientific Advisory and External Relations Committee for the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Auditory Society. Dr. McCreery has been recognized for his commitment to serving the audiology industry (and those who benefit from it) with the Early Career Contributions Research Award from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association in 2013 and with the prestigious appointment as a fellow of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association in 2020.
