Darren is a full time British Canoeing Level 5 Coach, the highest award possible for Coaching.
With over 20 years of experience, Darren is comfortable in all water environments.
He is also a home nation trainer for British Canoeing for safety and leadership awards, training the trainers and more recently closely consulting with British Canoeing.
Guy has always been drawn to the River Thames, water and boats (and the mountains!).
He owns a handful of river based brands and has a keen interest in empowering individuals.
A keen fixed seat rower, Guy created the Shiplake Outloars rowing club and has taken part in many challenges.
Guy is also a Trustee of the Rivertime Boat Trust charity based in Henley.
Guy lives locally and is married with three children.
Jay Dodson's original career was in marketing mostly in the brewing industry working at director level with major and independent brewers as an employee and consultant.
He has spent the past 30 years working as a team and leadership development facilitator in a wide range of outdoor environments and has qualifications in paddlesports, climbing, hill walking, sailing and boating.
Jay lives on the River Thames on a narrow boat, and loves nothing more than sharing his passion about the benefits of being on the water with others
Simon and his late wife, Pat Davis MBE started and ran a Boat Hire and Corporate Regatta Company after a successful career in marketing.
Simon and Pat founded The Rivertime Boat Trust in 2007 launching ‘Rivertime', a passenger boat to take out disabled and disadvantaged people on the River Thames.
His love of the Thames led him to become a founder member of The River Thames Society and The Traditional Boat Rally as well as being very involved with The Thames Punting Club and the initiator of The Regatta for the Disabled in Henley. Not satisfied with all this he has also collected over 500 books on the River Thames.
Vanessa runs her own PR company, specializing in outdoor and travel.
After leaving university with an English degree, she joined and worked for the Ski Club of Great Britain for ten years, setting up their PR department.
With three children, she has managed to juggle her successful business, find time for loads of skiing and running.
