Alex Bourque

Mr. Bourque boasts over twenty years of experience in the construction industry, which includes: warehouse, inventory, roofing, sheet metal, forklift, waterproofing, restoration, masonry, caulking, slate and tile installation, and truck driving. In addition, Mr. Bourque possesses knowledge and experience working with scaffolding, high reaches, and OSHA requirements. Since 2014 Mr. Bourque has been a Masonry Supervisor at Culbertson Company, where he is in charge of setting up jobs and overseeing the obtainment of equipment and materials. Mr. Bourque is responsible for oversight of foremen, masonry mechanics, laborers, and job management to ensure job safety and that all jobs are run efficiently and effectively.

Daniel T. Thorp - President

Mr. Thorp is a forward-thinking President with 40 years of experience at Culbertson Company. Mr. Thorp graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University and began his career at Culbertson Company as a Project Manager is 1982. As the years went on, he became more proficient in the trade and elevated through the various positions and ranks at Culbertson Company, where he eventually earned the role of Partner and President. Mr. Thorp excels in driving needed changes in roofing and masonry restoration operations to boost operations and meet changing demands. Skilled with the ability to transform teams at all levels to maintain responsiveness and meet operational challenges head-on, Mr.Thorp is a born connector and tactical leader who possesses a diplomatic nature and leverages a tenacious approach.

Dennis Andrejewski

Mr. Andrejewski began his career in building envelope restoration in 1999, after graduating from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in Building Construction. In 2003, Mr. Andrejewski joined Culbertson Company as an Estimator and Project Manager. He works primarily with Engineers, Architects, Consultants, and Property/Community Managers in all phases of construction projects. His responsibilities include estimating, bidding, negotiating contracts, safety, value engineering, team communication, billings, and close out. He ensures that projects are performed with the highest quality of workmanship and completed to specification and industry standards. Mr. Andrejewski is knowledgeable in the construction of masonry and stone façade systems, concrete restoration and coatings systems, various waterproofing systems, sealant and glazing, and roof repair and replacement. He is a distinguished member of Sealant, Waterproofing, Restoration Institute, National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the National Roofing Contractors Association.

Gary Doane

Mr. Doane began his career at Culbertson Company in 1991 working in the field as an A.W.S certified Welder. Through the years, he has developed skills in all aspects of building restoration; to include concrete and masonry restoration, waterproofing, sealants, and coatings. Additionally, Mr. Doane has received training in the roofing trade and has developed a keen sense for diagnosing water intrusions in all areas of building envelopes. In 1998, Mr. Doane was recognized for his dedication, hard work, and knowledge of the job and was promoted to Project Manager. Mr. Doane continues to offer his extensive experience to provide clients with excellent problem-solving skills.

Henry Alfaro

Mr. Alfaro's journey with Culbertson Company started when he was hired in 1997, only two weeks after graduating high school. Mr. Alfaro had no idea what the company did or what his work would entail, and he spent his first day on the job carrying buckets of dirt to backfill an excavation. It was at that moment he realized that his job would not be easy, but he would challenge himself to overcome the difficulties of the job. Through hard work, determination, and loyalty the company noticed the potential Mr. Alfaro had to offer. He was placed on projects throughout the early years of his career where he had Foremen help him learn the trade and grow to his full potential. Over the years he continued to grow and move up into various positions within Culbertson Company. In 2007 Mr. Alfaro reached the position of Supervisor and realized that to differentiate himself from the rest and achieve his dream of owning his own business, he would need to obtain higher education. Mr. Alfaro began attending George Mason University where he took business classes in the evenings after working a full day at Culbertson Company. In 2013, Mr. Alfaro had completed his educational requirements and graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. The same year Mr. Alfaro obtained his degree he was promoted to Operations Manager and in 2018 was presented the opportunity of his dreams and became a Managing Principal of Culbertson Company. John Bourque - VP

Mr. Bourque is an astute professional who has gained notoriety for his ability to build positive relationships that result in the development of new business, networks, and opportunities. He began his career with Culbertson Company in 1988 where he began as a roofer working in the field. However, in his over 34 years with Culbertson has worked in and acquired expertise in every department and mastered each aspect of the company, including managing as a Superintendent and serving as a Lead Salesman and Project Manager. Mr. Bourque became a Vice President in 2013 and has been detrimental to the growth and expansion of Culbertson Company by aligning goals with quantitative results. In addition to his many years of professional experience, Mr. Bourque holds certifications in the following: Class A Contractors License, Member National Roofing Contractor Association (NRCA), Member Virginia Association of Roofing Contractors, Member National Trust for Historic Preservation, Certified Asbestos Inspector and Asbestos Manager. When Mr. Bourque is not growing the company and socializing with the many employees at Culbertson, he enjoys woodworking, fishing, golfing, and working with honeybees.

Josh Sams

Mr. Sams began his construction career with a family company in 1997 working in the field of custom homes, stables, and elevated concrete structures. He excelled in structural restoration, shoring, and site planning/layout along with an extensive carpentry background. In 2005, he moved into the commercial masonry restoration industry in the DC area where he quickly became a masonry restoration superintendent in 2007. Mr. Sams developed a keen ability to simplify tasks for field employees which resulted in production increase and cost decrease. After many successful projects managing up to 100 field employees, he was promoted to Project Manager and started estimating work full time in 2014. In 2016, Mr. Sams joined Culbertson Company as a Project Manager/Estimator and has continually exceeded expectations through cost and labor management. Mr. Sam's also boasts an impressive sales record.

Mike Wood

Mr. Wood manages and coordinates the Sheet Metal Department as a Superintendent at Culbertson Company. He focuses on training and safety and sharing his many years of knowledge and experience to provide top quality work for our clients. Mr. Wood actively participates in producing schedules and formulating site logistics. With a "can do" attitude, Mr. Wood goes the extra mile to provide help to Field Personnel, Office Staff, and Clients at all times.

Oscar Ayala

Mr. Ayala is a Senior level Masonry Supervisor who has supervised some of Culbertson Company's most complex facade restoration projects. Extremely knowledgeable in providing safe means of access to building facades, Mr. Ayala's core focus has always been employee safety and providing the highest quality standard workmanship. Starting as a Field Laborer at Culbertson Company in 1997, Mr. Ayala was able to master most of the repair types associated with this industry. Mr. Ayala became very knowledgeable in masonry restoration, such as repointing deteriorated mortar joints, replacing single masonry units, temporary shoring large masonry wall bulges, replacing deteriorated sealants, and installing protective wall coatings. He also became very knowledgeable in concrete restoration of balconies, walls, and garages. In 2007 Mr. Ayala was promoted to Foreman, where he oversaw mostly large masonry restoration projects and managed the day-to-day operations of the projects, ensuring a safe work environment and quality workmanship. Mr. Ayala was promoted to Supervisor in 2012 and became responsible for managing Culbertson Company's most complex projects, including the acquisition of all necessary materials and equipment to complete jobs on time.

Randy Wood

Beginning his career with Culbertson Company in 1990 as a Mechanic in the field, Mr. Wood has advanced to become a Foreman for Culbertson Company. Mr. Wood worked on various projects in the Roofing Department, which provided him with the practical knowledge in managing active projects. Mr. Wood's high standards and exceptional motivation skills earned him a transition to the role of Superintendent in 2013. Mr. Woods excels in supervising, coordinating, and inspecting work progress, equipment, and sites to validate and verify safety.
