Carolyn Kalos

Carolyn Kalos has been a family lawyer in New York City for over 25 years, allowing her to see the toll that divorce, custody disputes, and conflict can take on families. She has experience in all areas of family law, and an ability to understand and account for the needs of different parties in complex family dynamics. Prior to joining Diamond, Fee & Kalos, PLLC, Carolyn founded Family Friendly Mediation, where she served as the principal attorney, mediator, parenting coordinator, and divorce coach. Carolyn was an adoption attorney, a litigator, trial skills instructor, both a clinical instructor and adjunct professor, all in the area of family law. She also worked as the Associate Director and Training Coordinator at the Center for Mediation & Training. Carolyn volunteers as a mediator at the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG). Carolyn is a consultant mediator and parenting coordinator with FamilyKind. Carolyn is on the roster of Mediators approved for appointment by the Westchester County Matrimonial & Family Courts.

Elizabeth J. Fee

Elizabeth J. Fee has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including custody, child support, maintenance, equitable distribution, adoptions, orders of protection, abuse/neglect and paternity proceedings. She is a certified mediator, collaborative law attorney and a parent coordinator. She began her career at the Juvenile Rights Division of the Legal Aid Society where she represented children in abuse/neglect proceedings, custody, juvenile delinquency and PINS proceedings. She was an Assistant Attorney-in-Charge in both the Brooklyn and Manhattan offices. Since entering private practice, she has been certified by both the First and Second Departments as an attorney qualified to represent children in custody and visitation disputes and has represented many children, as well as parents and caregivers, in high conflict matrimonial and custody cases in Supreme Court and Family Court. She also has extensive experience helping her clients resolve their financial disputes. As a certified mediator, a collaborative lawyer, and a parent coordinator, she often uses her skills to assist families in resolving parenting and financial disputes outside of Court. She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the Family and Divorce Mediation Council. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section and past co-chair of the Attorney for Child committee, the New York City Bar Association, the New York Women's Bar Association and was previously on the Judiciary Committee. She has been selected as a New York Super Lawyer since 2014. She graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1984.

Tara Diamond

Tara Diamond has exclusively practiced in all areas of family and matrimonial law throughout New York City for more than 17 years. Her experience includes representing clients in custody and visitation, equitable distribution, child support, maintenance, paternity, child protective and order of protection matters; the negotiation and drafting of property, custody, and visitation settlement agreements; the negotiation and drafting of pre-nuptial agreements; and step-parent and second parent adoptions. She is a member of the Manhattan Family Court 18-B Assigned Counsel Panel and has been certified by the First Judicial Department as an attorney qualified to represent children in custody and visitation disputes in both Manhattan Family Court and Manhattan Supreme Court. Ms. Diamond frequently serves as a Parenting Coordinator to assist parents reduce conflict and improve their ability to successfully co-parent. She has also been trained as a mediator. Ms. Diamond is a member of the Board of Directors for the New York Women's Bar Association and serves as co-chair of the New York Women's Bar Association Children's Rights committee. She graduated with High Honors from the University of Florida and earned her Juris Doctorate at the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
